Hard to beat an animatronic velociraptor roaring at the audience while money rains from the sky ...

Send that raptor to the ring to The Ultimate Warrior's music and we got money.

I wonder what the conversion ratio is between PopeDollars and RaptorYen.

I concur, that is definitely in the running for the greatest entrance in history, possibly topping Christian's opera/golden shower entrance. Depending on whether or not that was a real raptor.

The lift in the back of the stage means they were that close to recreating Gangrel's entrance except up from the flames comes a dinosaur.

Ahh New Japan Thread!

You should of seen most of the entrances from Wrestle Kingdom last month. Everything was amazing and sometimes copyright infringing.

Alex Shelley came out of a Back to the future Delorean.

Tanahashi had his theme played to the ring by Marty Friedman formerly of Megadeth.

Prince Devitt burst out of a coffin as Carnage from the Marvel comics.

Shinsuke Nakamura entrance was lined with stripper poles and pole dancers for my pick of entrance of the year.

God Bless you for being so wacky NJPW!

Wow. It's not every day you see somebody channeling both Jurassic Park and Final Fantasy in the same entrance.

WWE needs to steal this. An animatronic raptor entrance might be the only way Batista doesn't get booed at Wrestlemania.

I'm not sure if knowing the context of the raptor and the sword make it any better or worse:

If Brodus Clay had ever been a big enough deal to be in the upper card during Mania that Dino would have been awesome for him to use...where is the "Main Event Playa"?

If Fred Ottman hadn't fallen during that entrance, would anyone still remember the character?

Also, I just discovered that The Shockmaster is, according to Wikipedia, Cody Rhodes's uncle.

Probably not nearly as much. Most likely we'd have the same fond recollection of The Shockmaster as we do of Cheatum the evil midget and Giant Gonzales.

I hope that JBL's firing of Jillian doesn't mean she's the next victim of roster cuts. She's gorgeous, has a personality, is good on the mic and can actually wrestle (from what we've seen in her handful of matches against actual wrestlers).
