The one thing I took from this video is that Kevin Sullivan (the other one) is working for...whatever Jarrett's next move is going to be. Oh and Karen's still around.
Still, would they HASHTAG it if it were months away as opposed to imminent? ...probably. Who knows in this crazy business?
Anyway, hit me with your speculation, because I know that YOU know what's going on and the world is ENTITLED to your expertise!
(Let's try to limit it to one Toby Keith joke per reply, please)
Toby Keith's I Love This Wrestling USA! (That's my one!)
Kevin Sullivan must have shot this because the audio is terrible.
SPECULATION TIME: Supposedly, TNA is vulnerable with their Spike deal, and Jarrett could swoop in and get it if he has the right people. Seeing what's happened with TNA since the Russos and Bischoffs of the wrestling world got involved has made me appreciate how TNA was when he was more in charge, so I think I'd rather see how his thing went than where TNA is apparently going.
I don't know if wrestling is due for another boom period necessarily, but I do think that niche wrestling is going to get bigger (ROH, New Japan, etc) since now everyone has an outlet online that you don't need a national TV deal. Not that getting a national TV deal isn't still a huge weapon for a wrestling promotion.
Supposedly Toby Keith and Jarrett were this close to buying TNA, but it fell apart due to that fact that Dixie's dad wanted her still involved with the promotion in some way. So Jeff and Toby decided that they could start their own brand new promotion. Rumors are that it'll start in October of this year and Jeff is waiting til after Wrestlemania season is over to announce the start of the promotion. I wonder if Aj Styles will be a part of Jarrett's new promotion, he is very loyal to Jarrett and feels he owes Jarrett something for hiring him a dozen years ago. I believe TNA's deal with Spike is up this fall so it's possible that Jarrett swoops in with his promotion. I think TNA is definitely helped a bit that their ratings have gone up a good deal the last month or so. I think things could get very interesting in the fall maybe Jarrett's promotion signs on with Fox sports one?
The real question is what their production is going to like on TV. Vince's massive advantage over everyone is his show looks amazing thus to some degree everyone looks legit. This has been ECW and TNA's problem, but to be fair ECW only tried to do that when they got the TNN deal and it still looked bad. The roster will be probably a lot of Ex-TNA guys than WWE guys. It would be interesting to see if ROH gets plundered as well.

Eh, the Bischoff-Hogan era was so bad we forget how bad the Jarrett era was. Jarrett is the guy that kept bringing Russo back and the booking was so freaking bad when Jarrett was in charge other than the Dutch Mantell era in '03 and Scott D'amore's booking reign in 05-06 before Jarrett brought back Russo.
I know country music is big in the US but how rich IS Toby Keith, exactly? Surely he's not a Billionaire...? And how much money is he prepared to lose, and how for how long?

If you think back to WWECW though, when it first restarted (pre-HD) with the wrestlers coming out the curtain on the side of the Titantron and the cameras on the Titantron facing the ring with the announcers in the background, the visual appeal of the show was great just for being different from what you see on every other show. Right now TNA tries to shoot and stage like Raw but on the cheap and they end up looking like NXT. Whatever is formed, if its going on TV, needs to ignore the WWE's presentation style and make their own.
Original ECW on TNN's problem was second rate cameras and lighting and TNN's refusal to put one penny into the show to help them (I believe USA had invested a good bit of money into those things to help the Raw Is War conversion).

Sorry, no Toby Keith jokes. However, I was looking forward to a nod to tradition.
JEDOUBLEF JADOUBLEREDOUBLET.
Jokes aside, are people really lining up to piss away multiple millions of dollars on getting a new promotion up and running?
Let them put Trish/Molly on the PPV since they have the longer brewing feud. I want a full month of setup for the Rey/Noble match, so make that a focal point of No Mercy.
