Only caught the final few minutes of Bryatts match and all of the main event.

Orton is heatless. All of the crowd chants revolved around Cena (as they usually do in Cena matches, Summerslam being the exception) both at the arena, and at the TGI Fridays where I watched. No reaction at TGIF to Orton winning.

As TLC matches go, this was very, very tame, bordering on boring. The finish was quite creative, but the final spot appeared to be botched (though it would've been a brutal spot if Cena really was supposed to go through the table).

Commentary during the main was so painful.

The Authority with Vince came out post-match to congratulate Randy, but no angle.

We were promised a unified champion - the WWE World Heavyweight Champion - and we got one, but does anybody care? Very interested in the follow-up, not only for this, but for the Bryatt story too.

The flickering, neon light style marquee at the top of the entrance way was pretty sweet.

I really don't get the point behind putting Orton over clean. As stated, the guy is heatless. He's a lost cause at this point, completely neutered by a general "seen it all, done it all" schtick over 10 years plus how the booking weirdly buried him over the last four months despite him allegedly being the big heel threat (or at least the semi-big threat next to Triple H). It's backwards logic in thinking that "oh, the unified title is a big deal so that'll get Orton over as champion," when having him on top again doesn't move the needle at all.

Please for the love of God don't let this be building to Cena Vs. Orton The Rematch at 'Mania.

I was actually all-in on hoping that HHH was going to leave with both belts. Kind of pulling for that to happen tonight, to be honest.

So, they are going to break up the Shield, have their real number one face get cradled like a baby after losing a match to some mid-carders and continue the Randy Orton/Authority storyline everyone is sick of with Orton being the new champ. Ok, then. I guess that Monday Night segment that everyone was talking about was just a blip on the screen. Unless, things change Cena is winning the Rumble.

Jesus Christ just stop. Unless Orton and Cena are going to have a best of seven series in one night at WrestleMania I'm fairly sure that last week's segment was anything but a "blip".

Yeah, because their track record says they follow through on stuff. If anything was going to happen, it would have been last night. There is no need to prolong will Cena or Orton turn when last night was the prime opportunity, it if they do it later it would be stupid. They again dropped the ball with a weak ass ending. They could have Kane, The Shield or HHH or anyone cost Cena or Orton the belt instead they with Orton going over clean on Cena. And tonight, we will get Cena saying he will "defy the odds" and enter the Rumble unless they are going with Cena/Orton at the Rumble.

Surprised there was no swerve at the end. In a way, pleased that HHH hasn't inserted himself into the title picture.

Also, I think that's the last of Cena/Orton... hopefully.

I like Randy winning definatively here over Cena and Bryan winning the Rumble, because it'll feel like that's been the plan since August. Rather than them pulling ideas out of their arse at the last minute.

All of the above is assuming they don't pull a swerve tonight of course?

Loved the shot of a dejected (almost in tears) Cena at the end. Cena is so facing Taker at Wrestlemania isn't he?

This year's Mania was the redemption angle, and it led to him beating Rock for the belt. Taker could be 2014's self-respect level boss.

This almost never happens, but I was 100% in my predictions last night. Yeah!

I think Orton/Cena was done mostly to unify the titles and that this isn't part of some big program between the two. The big angle is with Bryan or Punk at Mania, although I have no idea what their plan is for Cena.

I can see an Orton/Cena program to keep Orton busy going in to WrestleMania, but that's the only reason why it would go longer. Just to give them both something to do.

Orton going over clean was pretty weird, and even weirder was Vince returning to do... something, I guess. Everyone being on the same page after Monday makes no real sense, especially HHH, but maybe something happens tonight that justifies it. Either way, they really killed some of the great momentum that started on Monday with a status quo ending.

I really hope that it isn't Orton/Bryan at WrestleMania, though. If it is, it needs to be an iron man match or something epic because we've just seen this so many times over the last few months. Orton/Punk would be great, though, but Bryan really seems to be the guy who needs to win the belt.

Punk/Shield was great. Everything else? Meh.

Now, let's forget the Brand Split ever happened.

So...can I tell you how a non-jaded, not "smart" person reacted to the results of TLC?

We were at friends' hanging out and watching Bengals/Steelers, so we did not get the PPV. I wasn't even considering ordering TLC until last Monday happened, and then I was glad not to because I'd really like the Rumble (or as it's known in my house, "IJ's Youtube Crack") to be her first live PPV. Anyway, I checked the results through Twitter all night.

- On AJ retaining over Natalya: "What? Bummer? Oh well, AJ is growing on me." (Skips away just like AJ.) Somehow Natalya is her favorite diva. I think it's because she snuck in a couple episodes of Total Divas before we had to shut that down due to general reality TV-inappropriateness.

- On Cody/Goldy retaining the tag titles: "That's good. Big Show and Rey Mysterio would just be weird as the tag team champions."

- On CM Punk beating the Shield: "All three of them? Haha Dad. CM Punk is the BEST...how'd he *do* that?"

- On Daniel Bryan losing to the Wyatts: "I hate the Wyatts...poor Daniel Bryan. Maybe CM Punk can help him next time. That wasn't really a fair match."

- On Randy Orton, #ChampionofChampions: How about an immediate welling up of crocodile tears? How about it ruining her night to the point that she didn't care that it would make her look kind of silly in front of her super-girly (by comparison) friend? How about 30 minutes of pouting, stomping through the grocery store like a baby? How about Dad having to threaten to make her stop watching if she didn't get over it a little bit?

Say what you want about Randy being "heatless"...I was at Raw Monday and those "boring" chants weren't on Randy. They were on the whole belt-raising deal, and the ONLY thing that turned them was the brilliant ad lib by Cena to acknowledge that Daniel Bryan was right there. If the point of a heel is to be hated, then Randy Orton, based on my one-person nightly focus group (™HHH) is doing a pretty fantastic job.

Also: Sunday's losers include Daniel Bryan, John Cena, AND Tom Brady?! IJ is unimpressed with this situation.

I'm absolutely stunned that they're going to stick to their guns on Randy Orton, despite a total lack of heat. They can't be serious about riding him all the way to Wrestlemania, can they? I'm flabbergasted that this is going to be the case.

If there's a positive to be had from all this, it's that the Rumble is going to really mean something next month, with the stakes at their highest since before the brand split. Right now, you can make a case for Cena, Punk, and Bryan (or even a returning Sheamus) all winning and it could go any which number of ways.

But that's about the only positive I can gloss from this. This has to be the most unmemorable TLC in years, ironic given what the main event was touting.

WWE's year on PPV: 7 straight strong shows, 4 straight bad, and then this one, which was average but the worst TLC show they've ever done. I don't know what happened. With their roster and the guys' work ethic, it should be pretty easy to put together consistently good shows, but they just abruptly stopped. Imagine where they'd be in-ring if they hadn't pulled "long Goldust tag matches" out of a dumpster.

The Tale Of Cena And The Bottom Rope is added to the list of "John Cena And Arn Anderson's High Concept Cena Matches" along with the Orton "I Quit" advanced interrogation techniques, the Del Rio broken ring match, the match where Miz and Alex Riley doubleteamed him for 20 straight minutes and then slipped on a banana peel, the one where he and Wade Barrett played with chairs.

AJ/Natalya was one of the best women's matches in company history, which is to say it was "actually pretty good."

If the Punk/Shield match was the Shield vs. Punk and almost literally any two partners, it would've been, what, twice as good?

Famous last words and all that, but Cena's not going to win the Royal Rumble. There's been one repeat winner in 12 years. They spread that stuff around. Otherwise Cena would've just won in 2010 and 2011.

A clean ending -- and a clean heel ending over John Cena at that -- is actually a breath of fresh air because it's the first one since July.

That was truly weird. Vince has been postponing his big return since October. Then he just randomly shows up backstage on an In Your House and does nothing.

I really hope that it isn't Orton/Bryan at WrestleMania, though. If it is, it needs to be an iron man match or something epic because we've just seen this so many times over the last few months.

Orton/Bryan would at least directly pay off a storyline that hasn't had a payoff. And I will say, none of their matches got to have a real finish where they traded nearfalls and built to a climax, because all three of them were worked to a finish and then abruptly handed the match over to the screwy storyline ending.

But it'd be hard to tease Bryan/Shawn and then deliver almost anything else.

I don't know why I picked against the holder of the 6th longest title reign of all time against a top class team. I don't know why I picked a B+ player against a group of ragity looking cult members.

Decent ppv but without any true highlights.
When Reigns was hurt I figured he'd be blinded and deliver the spear to the wrong guy. At least it was Punk that made him miss.

Bryan-Wyatts was fun.
I like when WWE manages to book 2 similar matches totally different. The "this is creepy" for Bray Wyatt chant was funny (trying to make it a trend on twitter was funny too in a different way)

Tag match was alright, though I cared little when Show/Rey were left.

AJ en Natalya was decent. I didn't care for Kofi/Miz, Brodus/Truth and even Sandow/Big E.
Sandow's shirt was cool though..

I didn't expect Orton to win, and I wondered if he was waiting for Cena to get up when he took his time to get the titles.
Cena's face hitting the table looked botched but in the replay it seemed like at least it was slightly controlled.
It was an okay match, obviously trying to tell a story and not going for brutality. It'll be interesting to see where they go now.

Jericho's tweet clearly pointed out the winner of the main event would be the "second undisputed Champion in history". They didn't read it but I found that amusing.

Decent show. Liked the Punk/Bryan matches, CodyDust tag match, but Miz/Kofi, Big E/Sandow, & that Tons of Funk match were all stuff they could have just as easily put on Main Event (or RAW now that it's seven hours long). Just absurd and insulting to have that stuff on a show people pay for. Please build some stars, this is brutal; almost no one matters. The ME was what it was. Couldn't get excited for these two for the life of me, but really Orton winning was slightly less nauseating to me than the thought of Cena needlessly winning even more shit he doesn't need. And it was predictable after Orton eating a pedigree and then apologizing on Smackdown. To have him lose after a week of being made to look like that much of a bitch would have been Jericho booking.
