So, barring a complete meltdown, Mizzou will finish top 4. That's not to bad for being the second year in the SEC.

Well, they probably won't finish in the top 4, since without a meltdown they'll be in the BCS title game. They're kind of in the same boat as Georgia last year; win and you might be in the title game, lose and you're in the Capital One Bowl.

I don't think they get higher than number three. Either way, it beats the outback bowl.

I wonder where a one-loss Wisconsin team would be ranked if we had been allowed to attempt that game-winning field goal at the end of the Arizona State game.

As much as it would be 'fair' for Ohio State if the four team tournament started this year, you'd have a hard time figuring out team #4. Alabama winning out would knock out Auburn and Missouri from that spot.

Clemson's not going to their conference title game unless something happens to FSU and there is no Big12 title game for OK St and Baylor. Would Standford beating Arizona State be enough to vault them past the idle teams into the last spot? I don't think so, but I don't think there's a good answer here.

(note that NIU being ahead of Fresno State and Central Florida means - if they win out - people I know will be paying silly money to go watch the Huskies be destroyed in another BCS game.)

Can Auburn jump an undefeated OSU or FSU? If Auburn lose in the SEC title game, and OSU or FSU lose does Bamako get in to the NT game?

Also, how much did USC and Arizona cost the PAC 12?

Wouldn't be the BCS without a clusterfvck. Thank God under the incoming system there won't be any problem finding the 4, and only 4 teams worthy of playing for the National Championship.

it looks like it'll be

1 FSU
2 Ohio State
3 Auburn
4/5 Alabama & Missouri.

I'd guess Alabama gets 4 but not sure. Auburn's already pushing a 1 loss SEC team is better than a 0 loss Big 10 team and that's probably the debate topic of the week.

Alabama should be 5. Missouri's arguably played a tougher schedule and the voters would have to be off the plot to put Alabama ahead of Mizzou if Mizzou beats Auburn next week, so they might as well get Mizzou ahead of Alabama now. It was bad enough for Alabama to get picked over Big 12 champion Oklahoma State two years ago; imagine how bad it will look if Alabama got picked over its OWN CONFERENCE'S CHAMPION this year.

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

The BCS ranking have Alabama ahead of Missouri in all three rankings, but by narrow margins. If Mizzouri wins, they'll vault ahead of Bama. And if MSU beats OSU (and I think they will), then Missouri is in the title game.

Now if OSU *and* FSU lose, I think Alabama gets second, behind the winner of Auburn/Missouri, and that's going to anger some people.

I really hope MSU can find a way to beat Ohio State. I don't think they can with that offense, but it's not like Ohio State is really amazing either. Then have Mizzou beat Auburn and take the title spot. That way we quiet down the Ohio State fans(and Urban), and the SEC fans since they get a team in.

I've got Mizzou friends and SEC friends and I'm having to balance my thoughts. On one hand, I'm happy for Mizzou and them and A&M doing so well so early in the SEC helps put to rest the line we've heard for years about other teams not being able to hang if they were in the SEC. However, it's pretty clear the SEC as a whole is down this year. Georgia, LSU, Auburn, even Bama don't look the same as in past years. Not that they're bad, but it's helped Mizzou out a lot.

Also, Clemson Clemson'd hard again yesterday. And any early season talk of the ACC stepping up this year went out the window aside from FSU. Which is okay by me, it's how things were in the 90's and I was pretty content back then. Now come on Meggs, get this over with so we can move on with the games.
