Look at Hogan's TNA work. The guy could barely even be put into a Scorpion Deathlock.

Assuming they can get around his physical, I think Hogan will have to decide if it's worth it to hurt himself for the sake of one last match, moment, and pop for his legacy and/or fans and/or ego and/or bank account.

Not sure that includes Randy the Ramming it on One Last Legdrop though. People would groan, but I guess he could do the 5 Knuckle at the same time Cena does the legdrop.

Brock's due for a loss after beating Punk. Give it to someone worthwhile like Bryan.

Follow the logic circles.

Lesnar had to beat Punk to rebuild him for the Undertaker match, because he had to lose to Triple H at Wrestlemania, because it was only fair for HHH to get a win over Brock after he let him break his arm and beat him. If I were going to have a multi-match program with Lesnar and give someone a clean win over him, I'd probably do it with the full-time guy who's headlining half the house shows, but hey.

Two years ago, Triple H beat Punk because he had to be kept strong for his Wrestlemania match with the Undertaker, and they were going to give Punk the title anyway so he could afford to lose right as he was on the rise.

This year, the main event of SummerSlam, the fall title program, Bryan's momentum, and Orton's big heel turn have all been secondary to building heat on Triple H for his feud with Vince.

Booking the company would be a lot easier if Triple H wasn't around doing his vanity promotion "living legend" matches. I loved the Undertaker feud, but HHH has somehow managed to be more of a burden in semi-retirement than he was during the 2006-2010 period when he was pushed hard but stepped aside for Cena.

As far as the Shield goes, I think Reigns vs Ambrose/Rollins in a handicap match seems likely. I don't see them staying together past the February PPV. I think Reigns puts on the "Diesel" spot in the Rumble, including eliminating Ambrose, and Ambrose and Rollins don't like it, setting up that match.

I think I'd have Reigns eliminate Ambrose from the Rumble, first dissension teased for a little bit with Rollins as peacemaker, but their big confrontation is interrupted by the Wyatt entrance. Shield unites and goes de facto face for the Wrestlemania six-man. The Shield wins at Mania but then everyone turns on Reigns the next night.

My only real fear with that match is that some moron in WWE creative would try to use it as another way to "cement Cenas legacy."

He wouldn't turn heel if he beat Taker either, because everyone thinks that's what will happen... so it won't.

Now apparently Rey Mysterio vs Sin Cara is (back) in the mix.
And the idea to have a crowd full of masks with that.
Didn't happen last year due to injuries. So we'll see if they can both make it until then without hurting themselves.
We haven't seen Sin Cara in a long time anyways..

It's a little surreal to be talking about a card that could potentially have Sting, Hogan, HBK and Goldberg as active participants.

I still wonder what this big idea they had for John Cena's world title match is/was. If it wasn't Sting going after his big gold belt I'm stumped.

I'm with ya. But seeing Punk and Bryan interacting together recently is giving me an Austin/Rock X-7 vibe. But but, they both have reason to seek revenge on HHH, so I'm predicting triple threat there. And if Sting is on board, he takes on Orton, scorpion vs viper, for the big gold belt. Round it out with Hogan & Cena/Wyatts, Taker/Lesnar, Ryback/Goldberg, and Roman Reigns in a high profile singles match.

And Show/Shaq - I'm still pining for it.

My ideal WMXXX card would be:

-Cena/Undertaker: the biggest match there is, the only opponent who is a legit threat for The Streak and the best way to remove Cena from the title matches and the "save the company" angle is to have him set his focus on the one goal that trumps everything else

-Punk/HHH: Vince wants his company back and is forced to turn to the man who started everything in this direction, the man who doesn't care about HHH and legacies and gainful employment

-Bryan/Lesnar: Nobody would benefit from a match with Brock more than Bryan and it's pretty much the only option left now that they've already blown him beating Cena clean for the belt. Would also be an amazing match, and you get there by having Bryan pay for Punk's aid by having HHH make amends with Heyman to get rid of Bryan once and for all

-Jericho/Orton: First Undisputed Champ returns to face New Undisputed Champ, also Jericho finally regains his memories about Orton punting him right when Jericho was about to uncover the Mystery GM's identity (Hornswoggle Heel Turn optional)

-SHIELD ladder three way: If the break-up threads tie together at The Rumble as most of us assume, I'd just want this for sheer spectacle and a thank-you to the three of them for pretty much carrying their TV shows

-Cody/Goldust: ideally for Cody's refurbished IC title, all due respect to Big E

-Usos/Wyatts: Tag team title match, let's assume Wyatt himself gets hurt again so he's in the Family corner and Rikishi is in the Uso corner or something

-Cesaro/Rest of WWE Roster: Gauntlet match where Cesaro does the Giant Swing to everybody on the roster one after the other only to lose to a returning Sheamus to kick-off a three-month Cesaro/Sheamus feud where they just beat each other to death for 15 minutes every week until SummerSlam

Well, yeah, "only option left" is a drastic thing to say, as I'm sure Bryan himself is considerably happier about his career than we are and all that, and rightly so. But still, consider how crazy it is that they actually did blow Bryan beating Cena clean for the belt. Like, that thing that never, ever happens happened and they erased it immediately.

How much easier would booking Wrestlemania be if they'd made this simple change instead: Bryan doesn't win the belt at SummerSlam. Do everything exactly the same up to Cena getting knocked out cold with the knee, only have that exact moment be when Orton shows up. Cena stays down (visually showing that Bryan had him beaten) while Orton hits the ring, cashes in to make it a Three Way and then HHH does the Pedigree to Bryan while feigning to explain what happens and Orton pins the KO'ed Cena. Cena still goes out for a few weeks (this time to recover from having his face broken), Bryan still goes through the same Authority gauntlet, Cena still returns, now with motivation to face Orton before giving Bryan his rematch, Bryan still gets to get The Big Win at Wrestlemania.

Also, Bryan gives the Wrestlemania sign a running knee strike on the go-home show before Wrestlemania.

Any of the recent "Milestone Series" is worth your time, but the consensus seems to be that "Supercard of Honor" was the high-water mark from that series of strong cards.
