This show went for intriguing to annoying in four weeks. How in God's name do you put the "main character in peril" plot so early into the season 1. No one in their right mind would ever think anything would happen to Agent Keen so there was no "will she live?" moment. You knew she would, you knew Reddington would save her and everything would be fine. So to recap:

Episode 1 - first day on the job and her husband is stabbed and she finds out her may be someone a potential spy.
Episode 2 - learns one of her heroes is a human trafficker
Episode 3 - almost gets killed in an underground hideout
Episode 4 - lets a key witness out of her sight, who dies and then she gets kidnapped and is almost turned into stew.

That's a pretty crappy first couple of weeks of work.

I would like to stick around only to see what Reddington's connection is with Keen and who her husband really is. But the show really needs to tighten itself up.

Life is hilariously cruel.

The reason to watch the show is to see James Spader do James Spader things. In that respect, the show is a success. Oh, and to see neat hats.

At some point during the second episode, I thought to myself "He's going to turn out to be her father." I'm going with that.

(I don't care who the husband turns out to be.)

I feel just the opposite of Wpob. I didn't think much of the pilot but I gave it another shot because Spader. I thought initially this was going to be a "criminal of the week" type show, and while it somewhat is, it does go beyond that as well with all of the periphery stuff moving forward each episode.

I don't think he is the father as he took a picture out of the Stewmaker's album that looked like a little girl so I assume his daughter. I am going to go with her brother. He seems about 20 years older than her so maybe he turned on his country when she was little and her parents erased all information about him and told her she was an only child.

And yes, Spader has been awesome. But he will only be able to carry this show so far.
