Of the show in the last five years that have ended, which show will you miss the most? There have been many quality shows that have ended in the last five years. Two more end next year with Mad Men and How I met Your Mother. We have Breaking Bad, Weeds, Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me, Law & Order and Criminal Intent, Dexter, 30 Rock, The Office, ER, Spartacus series, Entourage, House M.D., Heroes, Desperate Housewives, The L Word, Fringe, Burn Notice, Boston Legal, Lost, The Wire, The Shield. Great shows, all in their own ways.

24 did end in 2010, but it is coming back for one more season.

No wonder no one goes outside anymore. Is there that one show that you will miss the most? Mine is Deadwood. Not on that list granted, but I still miss it.

Oh and Scrubs.

I guess I am the weird one. I only watched a few of those shows: Mad Men, Lost and Boston Legal.

I'd say the show I miss the most is Extreme Makeover Home edition. Loved that show. I think a lot of people, though not me, liked CSI: Miami.

and then there is The Shield. My favorite show ever.

Burn Notice and Copper. (Yes, they ended Copper. 2 seasons in. That dumbass "british guys drive cars" show is still on, there's 800 different Doctors Who, but COPPER they axe. On a damn cliffhanger, at that.)

I'm Charlie Owens, good night, and good luck.

Fringe is top of the list for recent years, definitely.

A lot of those shows I loved when they started, but they had gone bad before they left--Heroes pretty quickly, 24 after a few seasons, Law & Order after many. One you didn't mention, Leverage, probably went out at the right time--the final season was a definite step down, but not unwatchable.

Men Of A Certain Age and Happy Endings are also shows which I miss. And then there are the shows which weren't around for long at all, led by the wonderful Terriers--such a shame that didn't stick around!

I think I miss either LOST or Breaking Bad the most. They were the ones who really took over the zeitgeist and kept you guessing and were fun to talk about.

24 doesn't hold up as well and was very much of the time. The first season was some mind-blowingly experimental TV at the time.

The Shield and The Wire were the best all around. I think The Shield had the best finale out of any of them so far, that felt like it paid off and rewarded viewers the most after years of being on.

I do miss Deadwood, too. That show was amazing. I think less is more with TV shows, though. I prefer the BBC method of doing things.

Not a fan of this "Part 1 and Part 2" crap shows try to pull off in their final seasons now. Just call it an extra season if you're going to do that.

Breaking Bad and 30 Rock are objectively my favourite shows of recent years, but in terms of the show I'll purely miss the most? It's Lost. I miss the show perhaps second to the amount of sheer discussion and speculation that every single episode would generate online. There are other shows that were better, but I'm not sure I'm ever been as obsessed with any program as I was with Lost in its prime.

The difference here is that both Top Gear and Doctor Who are a) produced by the BBC, b) among the most watched shows in the world. Whereas Copper is a basic-cable period piece done by a niche TV channel.

I would have preferred CBS had cancelled "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and kept "CSI:NY" on and put it in the Wednesday time slot.

There is only one show that I miss other than BB (and BB has surpassed it as my all time favorite show) and that is Babylon 5. They are a close #1 and #2, all the rest are tied for a distant 3rd.

I am going to miss Breaking Bad more than the others.

I am going to miss Futurama (again...for the last time), 30 Rock and How I met Your Mother.

Of that list I believe only BB and Mad Men were on my watch list. Is the Simpsons calling it quits at the end of season 25 (I believe I read that is likely, but not announced)? That show, regardless of not being in its prime after the first decade, has to go down as the cultural touchstone of a generation.

Yes! I miss CSI:NY. I don't mind CSI, but definitely preferred the New York version better.

The finale of The IT Crowd just aired (on YouTube, for me) and while it had a small output, it was always a show of superior quality and I'm sorry there really really won't be any more episodes coming.

I do miss Heroes mostly for the insanity of it, but I did feel they got back to being a just ok show in season 4. Season 3 wrecked that show. I will miss How I Meet Your Mother for everyone, but Ted. And of course my stalker obsession with Allyson Hanningon.

I miss The Shield the most. Terrific show that ended damn near perfectly.
Breaking Bad will be missed, it the last two half seasons were sort of a let down after the first several seasons were so great.

Lost was over for me when they found that underground hotel with soap and hot running water. I hated the supernatural twist.

Really of the list BB and Mad Men (when it goes) will be the ones I miss.

I really miss Fastlane which came out years ago and only aired for one season, but I visit it sometimes as it was a great Hype Williams set-coloured weekly action show which felt like a Steve McQueen movie. Plus Tiffani Theissen right before her looks started to fade.

30 Rock, Happy Endings, Scrubs will all be missed. All the Whedon shows, with the exception of Dollhouse (haven't watched it yet).

Also three current shows that I really enjoy True Blood and Sons of Anarchy are ending in their next respective seasons, and it's rumored by David Duchovony that Californication may be ending next year as well.

The good thing about many of my favorites ending or being ended is that it forces productivity.

This. Love that show and still can't believe John Noble was never nominated for an Emmy.
