What what a great return. Jean Ralphio, his sister, and the Fonz as their Dad? They wrote out Andy Dwyer as he is busy filming Guardians of the Galaxy and it was funny to hear him explain the weight loss like he did in real life...stopped drinking beer. It was even more striking because the show started off from last season and Chris Pratt was chunky. Good thing they fast forwarded several months. Also, Ron Swanson and Xena got married.
Superlative episode marred by constant presence of "Michael J. Fox show" ad bug for the entire (expletive) hour. NBC clearly doesn't want me watching their shows "live" any more, and I will accommodate their wishes, either by watching later On Demand or waiting for DVDs.

How about stupid Sean Hayes animating on the bottom of the screen and jumping on his couch to advertise his new show DURING Parks & Rec? Ugh!
Interesting that there were differing animated lower-third promos in the two time zones.
"Tattoos are the mullets of the aughts." - Mike Naimark
"Don't stop after beating the swords into ploughshares, don't stop! Go on beating and make musical instruments out of them. Whoever wants to make war again will have to turn them into ploughshares first" - Yehuda Amichai
I'm disappointed this thread has become all about NBC's terrible promo tactics (though I still hate ABC for ruining one of the last episodes of LOST because of their terrible V promos) because this episode was great.
The Ron-Diane marriage was perfect, including Diane's joke about her middle name being Tammy.
PETER SERAFINOWICZ!!! And they set up Andy being gone for GoG! (which Serafinowicz is in, too, apparently!)
April was a little too lovey-dovey with her letter and nominating Leslie to go to London, but they balanced that out with her love of the Mongolian Mayor.
This totally feels like its going to be the last season. (I don't think that's been confirmed anywhere, but with half the cast being gone for various reasons, it feels like its heading in that direction...) Leslie loses the recall and then she and Ben travel the world doing good. I'd be okay with that.

Yeah, we watched it On Demand and saw animated Sean Hayes running towards you (at one point I think it looked like he was onscreen running out of a building in London for a sec), which was very unnerving.
But the episode itself was wonderful and hillarious and reminded you why it's the best all-around sitcom on TV with the best characters.

Those things are getting really (expletive) annoying. The Comedy Network here in Canada had one during the Daily Show a week or so ago where it blocked out the visual joke (Pope on a skateboard, since I know you were all wondering)
During SHIELD they had one blocking out the location...these things are taking up to 1/3 of the screen now. Honestly if someone shoots a bunch of TV execs over this I'd be cool with them getting some kind of award.
Man, pretty much every Thurs show I watched went to London. So did Elementary while Glee covered the Beatles.
So great to have this show back, shows the range of how awesome Nick/Ron is.
Cinemaclock.ca is an excellent resource for movie listings here in Canada. I'm glad to see that it's playing here in Edmonton, but in locations inconvenient for me.
