Anyway, Triple H continued to try to make himself seem like a good guy while really being a horrible person, and complaining about how he's being unfairly maligned. He pointed to the Shield' match from Raw as an example of not playing favourites, of doing what's best for business, but the Miz took umbrage with the concept. Triple H called Miz a failure, and said he'd been given opportunities (vs. Randy Orton first, and then interviewing Big Show) that he'd bungled, and that wasn't Triple H's fault. Miz accused him of playing good cop/bad cop with Stephanie, and further insulted her, so Triple H showed his magnanimous nature by booking Miz vs. Randy Orton, saying that Miz is probably medically cleared by now since it's been a whole week. In that main event match, sure enough, Miz gets hurt off of his corner clothesline, and Randy Orton gets disqualified for attacking while the doctor was checking on him. That led Triple H to restart the match as a no-DQ match so that "Miz wouldn't lose his opportunity". Miz tried to fight back with a chair, but to no avail.
In other matches, Alberto Del Rio beat R-Truth via kneeling superkick, the Real Americans beat the Prime Time Players with the Patriot Lock (Antonio Cesaro did a twenty rotation Giant Swing on Titus O'Neil, who seemed out of sorts for the rest of the match), AJ w/Tamina beat Cameron via Shining Wizard in a match that reminded us why Cameron doesn't wrestle, and Dolph Ziggler vs. Dean Ambrose for the US title went to a DQ win for Dolph. It was restarted as a six man tag between Ziggler and his backup, RVD and Kofi, against the Shield. The Shield won it when Rollins hit Ziggler with the Blackout (the stomp on a bunched over opponent seen on Raw) while Ziggler had Ambrose rolled up for a pin.
Oh, and the Santino match. Santino vs. Heath Slater, with Santino bringing out the Great Khali and Hornswoggle as backup. The match wound up turning into Jinder Mahal and the Great Khali on opposite ends of the ring playing on recorders each just happened to have to try to be snake charmers, luring the Cobra back and forth.
I am no more certain of the purpose of pretending the Cobra is a sentient being now than I was when it was Aksana distracting the Cobra during Santino/Cesaro matches last year.
What I love best about professional wrestling is that it is a place where that Santino match can exist side-by-side with stuff like the Rhodes family drama and the Miz getting nearly crippled by Randy Orton.
Shining Wizard finish by AJ. Yeah, there was absolutely no way Ariane/Cameron would be able to take the Black Widow. Seems like both the Nattie and the Divas color commentary experiments have been dropped now. Tamina is lousy on Twitter so there won't be any funny banter with AJ like there is with Big E. Langston.

I don't blame Triple H one bit for how he treats the Big Show at this point. He's being done the biggest favor by the company and all that guy does is cry and complain.
I remember seeing a YouTube video of a match in the CHIKARA promotion in which, for no apparent reason, the wrestlers suddenly started going in slow motion. Actually, I was quite impressed by the strength it must have taken to do a deliberately one-quarter-speed arm drag.
The crowd got it immediately, and after a few moments of that (real-time, I mean), they started chanting,
"THIS..........
....IS.....
.....AWE.....
....SOME!....."

I like Santino as much as the next fan. I even wish they'd let him ditch the goofy gimmick and go back to what he was in OVW and have talent. BUT - why are they letting him pick up wins? Do they need to establish him so that when he starts jobbing again it means something? Help me understand...
I missed the show so out of curiosity, was the main event for the IC title? Oddly enough, I was watching last weeks TNA after The Terminator:SCC was on. I haven't seen the first hour of Raw in a few weeks now.
