Violently attacked?

Umm...ok.

As compared to most other incidents in which a fan jumped the rail, security seemed very passive and lax in responding, along with Orton.

Well Orton *had* just been hit in the balls.

Right now I'm leaning toward work. Interesting that his music just happened to be stopped right after the attack. Was the music man waiting? And not a whole lot of reaction to it. But most of all, that "biceps to the balls" move is very rarely seen outside of pro wrestling. If I'm going for an attack for real, I don't think that's the move I use.

Plus there's the fact that they, y'know, posted the YouTube video of it up on WWE.com. If this were an actual fan attack, they'd just be encouraging future incidents. By putting it on their website, they're making it part of "the WWE Universe", and will no doubt make it part of a storyline.

Hmm on the TMZ video you can see Randy kicking the "fan" when he was pulled outside of the ring. Conveniently left that part out on the WWE cut.

I'd doubt. A crazy moron tried to do a wrestling spot and incompetent local security let him. They're lucky he didn't have a knife dipped in AIDS or something. WWE canceled a meet & greet afterwards. Maybe it was the fan Punk punched and he'd been plotting his revenge.

Orton SOLD it. He's a pro. If only Big E had got his hands on him.

This just in: Randy Orton given something to do so the audience won't expect him for the entirety of the Summerslam main event.

Yeah, Orton just rolling with and selling an unexpected Vintage WWE Main Event Style Nutshot until he realized what was going on is maybe the most mature, professional thing he's done. A true reminder of and peak to the superior worker version of Orton who debuted in late 2011 during the Mark Henry feud.

Anyway, this better lead to an Orton vs. Justin Gabriel/Leo Kruger New Truth Commission feud, which will henceforth be referred to as DISTRICT RANDY.

I'd like to think that his initial thought upon the low blow was "Jesus, did they really rehire Chyna?"

Over the last two months, I've developed a serious addiction to watching old clips on YouTube of various wrestling moments. Most of these I only read about in PWI.Anyway, I thought I'd share a few: Jimmy Snuka Leaves Capt.
