I can't tell you how excited I am about this (insidetv.ew.com)
Originally posted by EW.comSimpsons castmembers Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith and Hank Azaria will lend their voices to the installment, in which Peter and the rest of the Griffins embark on a road trip and wind up in Springfield. There, they cross paths with Homer, who graciously greets his new “albino” visitors, and the two families become fast friends. Stewie is impressed with Bart and his assortment of pranks, Lisa tries to figure out exactly what it is that she’s good at, and Marge and Lois do some bonding. Meanwhile, Peter and Homer argue over which beer is better: Pawtucket or Duff.
It would be great to for one episode, get all the Fox animated dads together in a super crossover. Homer, Peter, Stan, Bob, and even bring back Hank Hill for the occasion. But, since that is very unlikely, this is a great start.
As someone who adored the Simpsons/Critic crossover back in the day, I'm tentatively excited for this. I do wish it was the Griffins in a Simpsons episode, rather than the Simpsons in a Family Guy episode.
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." --- Bart Giamatti, on baseball
Caught this with the wife yesterday. Incredibly fun movie, and worth watching on IMAX. Vin Diesel seemed to be channelling his inner Stallone for a good part of it (slurring words, massive fistfights)
