I've always thought that the stunner was a pretty cool looking finisher. Now that Austin is gone, it's not on TV anymore. I was thinking you could give it to one of the new guys coming in who need finishers anyway.
My vote would be for Cena. It looks like he is going to be involved in high profile main events right from the get-go, so you could give him this for a finisher. It would boost his credibility and make him beating the top guys look much more believable.
If they give someone else the "Stunner" they should allow that person to do variations of it. Think DDP, but with a Stunner. Mikey Whipwreck had many ways of busting out the Whipper-Snapper. One time I saw him bust it out out of a reversal of a Belly-to-Back suplex.
Of course, who ever gets it should occasionally use the Diamond Dust variation. That has to be the best finisher, ever.
There is just something aboot doing a simple move like that off the top rope. Like Noble's top rope DDT. Or when Sting did the Scorpion Death Drop off the top rope to The Giant.
Top rope somersault stunners are the bomb diggity (tell me he did not just say that).

It might be just a tad too soon for that finisher to make a comeback. Would the WWE want their shiny new star compared to the treacherous wife-beater who they are trying to get the crowd to forget about?
I wouldn't mind seeing something like the double-arm DDT again, possibly from Bautista to give him something other than the spinebuster.
Talking of Stunner variations, there is a move in Smackdown:JBI called the "Osaka Street Cutter". Am I a complete tool if I ask if there is anyone who uses it?

That would be Super Delfin, currently the grand poobah of Osaka Pro Wrestling in Japan, and one of the great goofballs in wrestling. His best work was probably in his extended tour of duty in Michinoku Pro, mostly as a top face battling against Kaientai DX. (Anyone who enjoys the cruiser style and hasn't watched classic Michinoku Pro is really missing out.)

I'd love to see that Osaka Street Cutter used in WWF (get the F back in!). Also the move in SD:JBI called the Mexican Stretch Buster. Does anyone know who does that?
If you are going to have a modified stunner, I think Brock Lesnar should use the Godsmack. It looks much more impressive than the F5, and wouldn't be much harder to pull off.

okay two things:
1) the mexican stretch buster (or is it bomb?), is that the move that's set up like a vertebreaker, but turned into almost a variation of the electric chair drop with a pinning combination?
2) what the heck is an osaka street cutter? it's probably a hidden move that i have yet to uncover, but could you describe it for me?
thanks a bunch of bananas (...and i can tell ya where to stick each and every one of them!).
Osaka Street Cutter - grab around the neck from behind, flip yourself over, Stunner. Looks awesome, which is why it is WWF IC Champ A-MOLS's finisher, along with the Vertebreaker.
Crappy description really. Some puro guy is probably fuming as he reads this.

That was pretty stupid when DDP would talk about the 500 different ways he could get you into the Diamond Cutter. It wasn't stupid that he was doing variations -- it was just stupid that he was talking about it.
If you don't understand why, think about why it was funny when Jericho would brag about how many more moves he knew than Dean Malenko.
"I don't wanna be called Booker T anymore. From this point on, you are to address me as GI Bro. ... Now can you copy that?" "Loud and clear, GI Bro!"

Move #1...Arm bar
Move #2...Right Handed Punch
Move #3...The 3 Fingered Moss Covered Family Credunza
Move #4...Arm Bar
Move #5...The Jericho Screwdriver
Move #6...The Spinning Nerve Clutch
Move #7...Arm Bar
That list is what made me a Jericho Mark...What got me was that they go to commercial and come back and he goes from like #9 to #999...
Then he started wearing the 1005 tights.
I think Jericho should do more stuff like that. Conspiracy Theories, giving people nicknames (Ron Misterio, Gene Mean, Pince Nakamackie) and visit the White House.
Ahhhh, back when Jericho was funny...

I think big guys like Cena and Bautista are better off using some sort of slam for their finishers. It just looks a helluva lot more impressive to see some monster drive someone's body into the mat than to use a move like the Stunner (which I think is suited to mid-sized guys).
BTW, the Diamond Dust is an awesome move. There's also a really impressive variation on the hurricanrana, but I can't remember the name...
Picture the guy on the turnbuckle with his opponent standing on the mat facing him. He flips, landing on the guys shoulders and executes a hurricanrana. I think the move appeared in No Mercy (N64). Dragon 'rana maybe?
Definitely on the money with Jericho, there. He was the main reason I watched WCW. The WWF/E writers should just let the guy write his own stuff. One of the best executed feuds in latter-day WCW was Jericho vs. Goldberg, and Greenberg was never in the building! (That's until Hogan killed the angle, so there was no blowoff).
Jericho 5, Greenberg 0

I do know that the Dragon'Rana is a standard top rope 'rana, but the guy executing the move climbs the ropes from the outside of the ropes, to the side of the opponent, pose, hop, clinch, 'rana...
You know, with the popularity of the Spine Buster, I propose a new move for a finisher. This is a move that I thought up many years ago during one of my "If I was a wrestler..." fantasies.
Get your opponent into a Torture Rack position (opponent facing the same direction you are, but across your back).
Grab your opponents leg that is actually touching your shoulder (the bottom leg).
Twist (ala F5, TKO)
Spin, release your opponents head, using the leg as a fulcrum, flip your opponent over your shoulder, drop into a sit down position (split legged)
Opponent lands back first on the mat and you are now in a pinning position.
You should end up in a position exactly like the end of D-Lo's short powerbomb, except your hands will be holding the legs instead of the shoulders.
Think TKO Spinebuster...
Now if anyone starts using this, give Threep some props!

A move I always wanted to do is a combination Scorpion Death Drop/Russian Leg Sweep...anyway, don't give Cena the stunner, nobody will be able to pull that off w/o remebering SCSA
Pedro Cerrano: Jesus, I like him very much, but he no help with curveball. Eddie Harris: You trying to say Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?

*jer.
The Mexican Stretch Buster(as I recall, not having my PS2 here at the office) has you with the opponent upside down with his neck on you shoulders and droping to you knees. The impact is kind of like a stunner only with the guy upside down with his whole weight coming down onto his neck (which is on your shoulder).
I don't even knwo if the move is possible in real life (some of the SD:JBI moves look impossible).

It is possible. Damien 666 uses it as a finisher. (Damien did it on Nitro once to Juventud Guerrera)

Osaka Street Cutter is an inverted suplex into a neckbreaker, as the man drops down behind you, you drop. (Super Delfin)
Ultimo Rana is the top rope spinning frankensteiner. (Ultimo Dragon)
Dragon rana is the jumping flipping hurricanrana from the top (Dragon Kid)

Ok, I have a radical suggestion: In a bizarre kind of way briging back true jobbers might not be a bad thing. That way, two "non jobbers" fighting might mean something. The NWA/WCW on TBS at 6:
