I didn't think 24 looked good on paper and it was an amazing show. I had high hopes for 25 and it was the shits. I walked into 28 expecting to go home with the fait accompli of a Cena victory in Miami and instead The Rock won. Point is, you never know until it happens. Apart from how the show is booked and whether or not the booking lines up with what you want, I hope you and everyone going (especially if it's your first WrestleMania) have a good experience.

The Shield

For the World Heavyweight Championship:
World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio (with Ricardo Rodriguez) vs. Jack Swagger (with Zeb Coulter)

Triple H

In his 21st Defense of His Legendary Undefeated Streak:
The Undertaker vs. CM Punk

Undertaker via Kane interference. Taker and Paul were tight but Kane is Paul's son, and he can't just sit this out. Also, losing the belts earlier will make him (paul) moody. This lets Punk bitch for months that it took two guys to keep The Streak alive.

"Twice in a Lifetime" for the WWE Championship:
WWE Champion The Rock vs. John Cena

The Rock

For United States Championship:
US Champ Antonio Cesaro vs. R Truth

Cesaro

For WWE Divas Championship:
WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn vs. AJ Lee

AJ, and this would give This Stable three belts in one night

Cena - A Cena loss followed by a heel turn and a rematch at Extreme Rules leading to a heel Cena title run with defences against the likes of Jericho and Bryan and Sheamus and Ryback would be great, but I don't see it happening.

Undertaker - As if there's any doubt.

Brock - Before the retirement stip, I figured this was just HHH being HHH, booking himself to avenge his SummerSlam loss to Brock at the biggest show of the year. But now with the retirement angle, and with Shawn being there, and it being at WrestleMania, and with HHH being all but retired anyway, I'm thinking maybe this is where he goes out. Like Shawn and Flair before him.

Del Rio - The crowd reactions to this feud have ranged from complete apathy to embarrassing xenophobia, so I don't see Swagger's push lasting for much longer. Nor Del Rio's title run for that matter. I'm guessing this is where Ziggler cashes in (after the match).

Show, Orton and Sheamus - Maybe The Shield's first loss will lead to some individual feuds and one on one matches for them.

Ryback - Henry might not be sticking around after Wrestlemania and this feud feels tailor-made to get some of Ryback's heat back after losing to Punk and The Shield so many times.

Fandango - Apparently Vince likes the gimmick and Jericho seems more interested in putting people over these days than winning matches himself.

Ziggler/Langston - Team Hell No has pretty much ran its course and a stable comprising of the world champion (assuming Ziggler cashes in), the diva's champion (assuming AJ beats Kaitlyn) and the tag champions would be pretty cool.

Tons of Funk and The Funkadactyls - Seems to be there purely as a toilet break. No point in the heels going over in an inconsequential WrestleMania filler match.

Miz - May as well kick the (pre) show off with a title change and a face going over.

If they happen...

Cesaro

The Rock vs. John Cena, WWE Championship Match: Yes, Cena wins.

Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H, No Holds Barred Match, if Triple H loses he must retire: I thought Triple H was a lock to get his win back, but now I'm not so sure. WWE likes to give at least one surprise result if the top few matches are predictable, and this is where it'd make sense to do so. That said, I'll stick with Hunter, with WWE passing up the opportunity to do a mega send-off for Trips the next night on Raw.

Undertaker vs. C.M. Punk: Taker.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger, World Heavyweight Championship Match: Del Rio wins and retains, though a short reign by Swagger wouldn't surprise me given Vince's fascination with the gimmick. Swagger's DUI could've gotten in the way of that plan, though, and I suppose they could still "punish" him for it post-Mania.

The Shield vs. Randy Orton & Big Show & Sheamus: Pretty sure The Shield wins here; whether or not there will be a turn on the face team remains to be seen.

Team Hell No vs. Dolph Ziggler & Big E. Langston, Tag Team Championship Match: Ziggler and Langston win and get the belts.

Mark Henry vs. Ryback: Ryback.

Chris Jericho vs. Fandango: This is a tough one, but I'll go Fandango.

Tons of Funk & The Funkadactyls vs. Team Rhodes Scholars & The Bella Twins, Mixed Tag-Team Match: The babyfaces.

The Most Must-See Interactive Pre-Show Match in WrestleMania History:
For the WWE Intercontinental Championship:
Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett vs. The Miz

Miz wins the title. Somehow, I don't think this is the Wrestlemania moment he was hoping for.

8 Mixed Persons Tag Team Match:
Tons of Funk (Brodus Clay and Sweet T) and The Funkadactyls (Naomi and Cameron) vs. Team Rhodes Scholars (Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes) and The Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie)

I'm just happy the Scholars even made it on the card, even if they are only on here because of the Bellas. I'm going to go with the Scholars and the Bellas winning. The faces clear the ring and dance afterwards.

Chris Jericho vs. Fandango
Well, they've booked themselves into a corner. It's unspeakably dumb to sacrifice the MitB winner and both secondary champions, only to job Jericho to Johnny Curtis. But at the same time, you can't kill Curtis out of the gate. I'm guessing Jericho wins here and we get Round 2 at Extreme Rematches.

Mark Henry vs. (The) Ryback
This has "bowling shoe ugly" written all over it. Henry wins a brutal (in more ways than one) match.

The Almost Everyone's Dated AJ Match For the WWE Tag Team Championship:
WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane) vs. Dolph Zigger and Big E. Langston (with AJ Lee)

If they're mercy killing the Swagger push, like I think they are, then I don't think they tie Dolph up with the tag titles. Hell No retains.

Six Man Tag Team Match:
The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose) vs. Sheamus, Randy Orton, and The Big Show

Part of me thinks this is the end of the road for The Shield, but I think if anyone's going to end the Shield' reign of terror, it's going to be Ryback. The Shield win and we get The Shield's Last Stand at Extreme Rematches.

For the World Heavyweight Championship:
World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio (with Ricardo Rodriguez) vs. Jack Swagger (with Zeb Coulter)

Del Rio polishes off Swagger to mercy kill his push. No Dolph cash-in until Extreme Rematches.

No Holds Barred With Triple H's Career On The Line:
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman)

Shawn turns on Hunter as payback for involving him in this feud in the first place last summer. Brock wins.

In his 21st Defense of His Legendary Undefeated Streak:
The Undertaker vs. CM Punk

Punk throws everything and the kitchen sink at Undertaker, including the Shield triple powerbomb through the announce table. None of it works. Undertaker wins.

"Twice in a Lifetime" for the WWE Championship:
WWE Champion The Rock vs. John Cena

Whether it's by nefarious means or otherwise, Cena wins.

For United States Championship:
US Champ Antonio Cesaro vs. R Truth

Has Truth even BEEN on TV in the last month? Cesaro wins.

For WWE Divas Championship:
WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn vs. AJ Lee

Has KAITLYN been on TV in the last month? Kaitlyn retains.

Cena beats Rock - Cena has lost the last two WrestleMania main events in a row. I don't think they go for three here.

That said, this match won't be as clean as last year's. It's going to be dirtier. The John Lauranaitis thing seems to hint at some sort of third party involvement. I think they might actually pull the trigger here and that the last two weeks have been testing the waters for a Cena heel turn.

Either way, The Rock has to go shoot some stupid Brett Ratner Hercules movie and that'll take him out for a bit.

HHH beats Lesnar - Everything about this build suggests HHH getting revenge and redeeming both his loss to Lesnar and his losses to the Undertaker. Like Cena, HHH has lost the last two WrestleMania matches in a row and I don't think they go for three with him either.

That said, it makes much more business sense to have Lesnar go over HHH, end his career, and then set his sights on.... whatever match he's going to have at SummerSlam.

World Champion Alberto Del Rio (representing Immigration) beats Swagger (representing Subtle Racism)... - For all the buildup, Swagger just seems to have lost momentum. Not that he was ever really going to win this one in the first place. Del Rio gets a good solid title defense to solidify himself as a legit champion...

... but then Dolph Ziggler defeats Alberto Del Rio for the World Title - So far, I have three faces going over, so a heel needs to get a win at some point in a major match/moment. I just think it makes Dolph look really stupid to hold onto the briefcase and not cash it in at the SuperBowl/Oscars of Wrestling. Why would he wait to become world champion after the biggest show of the year? He's literally the "Show Off," so he needs to show off and capitalize and take his moment here.

The Undertaker beats CM Punk - CM Punk got the moment on the go home show, he's been a big time heel the whole way. I don't know if this match will be quite as good as years' past, but last year was End of an Era and now we begin the era of wondering exactly when the Undertaker is going to bow out. I'd love it if CM Punk went over, though. That would solidify him as a player.

Ryback defeats Mark Henry - Because he's big and strong and tough.

The Shield vs. Sheamus, Randy Orton, and The Big Show - WrestleMania being the blowoff event, I expect the faces to hand The Shield the loss here.

Tons of Funk (Brodus Clay and Sweet T) and The Funkadactyls (Naomi and Cameron) vs. Team Rhodes Scholars (Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes) and The Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie) - Heels win, because the Bellas are getting a push and Sandow and Cody Rhodes are too good.

Fandango beats Jericho - Because, what, he's going to lose his first match? C'mon!

I don't see anything about this on WWE.com, but if it happens, Cesaro beats R-Truth

Kaitlyn beats AJ

Daniel Bryan and Kane beat Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston - I only put this here, because I have every single title changing hands and that never happens at WrestleMania. Hell No stays champs and breaks up post-WrestleMania.

The Miz defeats Wade Barrett for the IC Title - I only say this, because Miz is thus far undefeated at WrestleMania (although if this really is a pre-show match, I guess that record is untarnished). But also, Barrett's been booked to look so weak lately. Beating Miz isn't going to do anything more for him until they rebuild his character a bit.

EDIT: Wow, there's way more matches than I expected there to be for this show. I'm guessing Cesaro's gets cut.

Yes. In the last 8 days alone, AJ beat Kaitlyn by countout on RAW when Kaitlyn speared the barricade. On Smackdown last Friday, Kaitlyn speared AJ and pinned her to win a mixed tag with Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph and AJ.

Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

I don't expect Cesaro or Kaitlyn to get on the card in a match at this point; they would've attempted to book something last night if it was in the cards, and there probably are already more matches booked for the card than they should be. I expect Kaitlyn to corner Team Hell No for the tag title match to counteract AJ, and Cesaro will get caught yodeling backstage by Ron Simmons and be hit with a 'DAMN!'.

- Barrett beats Miz in (one of) the pre-show match(es). I don't see how either person is served by a Miz win; hell, a month ago, Miz was still looking to get *Cesaro* here, not Barrett. There's another match they can move to the pre-show to pop the crowd with an opening face win...

- Team Full of Funk over Team Bella Rhodes Scholars in the (other) pre-show match that they're not saying will be a pre-show match, but *will* be a pre-show match, lol.

- Fandango over Jericho (ugh). Hate to pick it, but with Vince's hard-on for Fandango, the First-Ever Match rule in effect, and Jericho being the E's favorite whipping boy ever, it's coming and I know I just need to accept it. (Not that I won't continue to bitch and moan about how much of a colossal waste of Jericho's time this is and how Fandango will probably be blown up 2 minutes in and how Jericho will get the blame when the match is poorly received because Fandango is a useless piece of deadweight that blows up after 30 seconds of punches and a top-rope legdrop.)

- Ryback over Henry. With the news leaking today that WrestleMania might have been Henry's swan song (but won't be) amd Ryback needing a PPV win after months of losing to the Shield and coming up short in the Rumble, the result here is fairly obvious.

- Team Hell No retains against Team Ziggler. Yes, I know I was just talking about the First-Ever Match rule and it's in effect here with Big E, but 1) it ain't a singles match, and 2) the 50/50 rule is setting up Team Ziggler to go down hard after the events of RAW yesterday. (And if the popular scenario of Ziggler cashing in on Del Rio comes to fruition, they're not going to have Ziggler bogged down with the tag titles - Ziggler doesn't qualify for Two-Man Power Trip-like status yet.) We're also hitting the point soon where they're going to have to put the tag titles on the Shield in order to continue justifying a top-level push for them...

- ...because after the Shield beats Orton, Sheamus and Show due to the face team self-destructing, the Shield will pretty much be out of super face team combinations to take on and will need an actual reason to continuing existing as a threesome, and Freebirding the tag titles is as good a reason as any. (As far as the faces as concerned, I'm not expecting an outright heel turn from anybody, but someone's screwup will lead to a heel turn on RAW Monday night, and given the rumors, Orton's the most likely candidate.)

- Del Rio retains against Swagger. Everything points to it - the one-sided booking in favor of Swagger in recent weeks, the need to have a face come out a winner if Ziggler cashing in is a possibility, and most importantly, the need to send a message that there are consequences if you fuck up and say, get busted with marijuana in your car a week after the start of the biggest push of your life. (This iteration of Swagger would make an interesting foil for Cena assuming things stay status quo on that front, though.)

- Hunter, Taker and Cena are all winning and it's all so obvious on all three counts that it's not even worth elaborating on them, really. They've done the best they can on the Taker/Punk front, and that's saying a lot - I shudder to think of how horrible the buildup for this match would have been if not for Paul Bearer's death, it pains me to say. And while I *suppose* it's possible Hunter loses and heads off into the corporate sunset (even though something Heyman said last night made me think that Hunter's corporate duties are ostensibly on the line, as well), who really expects Hunter to have that small an ego on the subject all of a sudden? (Besides, Shawn will be there, and probably all of the other cohorts of Hunter Brock's beaten up in the past month as well - accept it, kids, Brock's jobbing.) Alas, things would be much more interesting on the Rock/Cena front if they hadn't swerved the smart fans last year by having Rock win; as is, it's silly to expect Cena to job for the third straight Mania in a row. The real question is whether they finally, finally go through with the Cena heel turn, as they've been hinting for weeks that will be what's necessary for Cena to win this match. I vote no on that one, but really that's the only thing about the match that's up in the air and I'm thankful I don't need to be held to that position, lol.

To wit:

Cena
Undertaker
HHH
Del Rio
The Shield
Team Hell No
Ryback
Fandango
Team Funk
Barrett

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

I think the build for Taker/Punk would be 100 times better, because it would be Punk vs. the fans desire for the streak to continue. That is much more compelling. To me, Taker/Punk was a slam dunk they have turned into an air ball that hit a 6 year old in the face with no apologizes from the player who was sorta aiming at the kid.

My wish list is for Rock, Brock and Hell No to go over. Yet, these are my picks.

Cena
Taker
HHH
Swagger
Team Ziggs
Caesaro
AJ
Shield
Miz
Rhodes/Bella
Fandango
Ryback

Unlike some, I'm VERY excited to go to WrestleMania this year. Hopefully this will be as fun as my first WrestleMania (WM 20) was.

Here are my picks:

Rock vs. Cena: Cena. I am very interested to hear what reaction he gets.

Undertaker vs. Punk: Thrilled to see 'Taker one last time. He obviously wins to go 21-0.

HHH vs. Lesnar: I'll piggyback what someone else said, HBK costs HHH the win. What other reason would he be there?

Del Rio vs. Swagger: Del Rio wins. Ziggler cashes in.

Shield vs. Orton/Big Show/Sheamus: Shield, because they're AWESOME.

Fandango vs Jericho: Also happy to see my favorite (Jericho) again. Too bad he's losing.

Hell No vs. Zig E: Zig E so Dolph walks out of the show with two titles.

Miz vs. Barrett: Miz

Ryback vs. Henry: Ryback. He's totally going to screw up Shellshock.

Tons of Funk/Funkadactyls vs. Rhodes Scholars/Bellas: Rhodes Scholars/Bellas

If they're on the show, Cesaro and AJ win.

I hear people talking about Cena finally going heel, which I don't believe will ever happen as long as he is the most requested Make a wish guy in the world.

but.. they have a great opportunity here to do it.

I agree with the "punk throws everything including the kitchen sink at Taker and Taken wins anyway assessment"

except there's a Ref bump, Cena comes out, pulls taker off the tombstoned Punk, gives him the AA, tosses him back in, Punk covers as the Ref wakes, streak over.

if THAT happened, Cena could actually turn heel.

We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.

Heck, HHH = MANLY BLADE JOBS. Always. Period. As for HBK... *sniff*... I am DEFINATELY gonna buy the replay...or the tape...or something, because SummerSlam sounds like it rocked six ways to Sunday...but Dad wanted to watch TV...so, I was screwed again...
