On another board I'm on, there's a thread where people post their pull list each week. Some conversation follows. I thought it would be cool to start that here, since in general, there's a lot more comics discussion on this board.

Plus, I was somewhat inspired by the recently Marvel Now discussion in another thread, comparing the two reboots.

Regardless of characters (where I think Marvel pretty much tops DC in every way, I think Marvel's slow-rollout is a MUCH better way of doing things, creatively and monetarily. It doesn't feel rushed and hurried (see the myriad of comments here about DC timeline), and it spreads out how many new things you've GOTTA try.

Anyway, here's mine:

BOOM! STUDIOS
Aliens Vs Parker #1 (Of 4)(Cover A Phil Noto), $3.99
Grace Randolph's Supurbia #5 (Cover A Stephane Roux), $3.99

DARK HORSE COMICS

Ultimate Comics Wolverine #1 (Of 4)(Art Adams Regular Cover), $3.99
Uncanny X-Men #3 (Chris Bachalo Regular Cover), $3.99
Wolverine #1 (Alan Davis Regular Cover), $3.99

Not only is it heavier on Marvel Now over DC52 (Also, two DC aren't even nu52 titles), but I'm also much more interested in them. I'm not even caught up on Before Watchmen.

My goodness, are you a kajillionaire?

This is an insane week for new releases. There's a ton of stuff I'd like to read and will eventually get to some way or another, but I had to prioritize as usual because comics are expensive, yo. I also almost exclusively buy digitally so I don't have an actual "pull list". Thankfully, Comixology is back to normal.

Anyway, today for me it's:

Uncanny X-Men #3
Wolverine and the X-Men #26
Batman #18
The Manhattan Projects #10

I've only read Uncanny X-Men so far, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

The problem with digital comics is that it is now too easy for me to spend my money on this.

From the DC side

Batgirl 18
Batman&Robin 18
Batman 18
Injustice: Gods among us 9

I'm hooked on the Bats after reading death of the family

Ive also been back tracking through the bat related new 52 titles as well as grabbing the "under the red hood" collection...damned digital comics.

Marvel

Age of Ultron 2
Avenging Spider-man 18
Uncanny X-men 3
Secret Avengers 2
Im really thinking about dropping Ultimate Comics X-men altogether.

I do like how digital DC comics prices drop by a dollar after 30 days. Lets me pick up stuff I missed a little down the road. And I've found being patent and waiting for the regular sales where comics drop to 99 cents each pays off. Plus free comics come about pretty regularly too.

I'm all about digital.

Having said that, and speaking of Hawkeye, I believe the Hawkeye trade paperpack collecting #1-5 came out today. I'll be moseying on down to the actual brick and mortar comic store for that!

Speaking of Hawkeye (again), the first two issues are now on Marvel Unlimited (which I am LOVING now that there's an app), but the first issue will not load.

I was ready to drop unlimited after the redesign because the new layout makes it almost impossible to deal with. I went looking for the App yesterday and couldn't find it; is it for android?

Not for android yet.
I think it was gonna be released soon but not sure how soon.

My list:
Thor God Of Thunder #6
Walking Dead #108
Uncanny X-men #3
Batman #18

Of those I've only read Thor so far.
Nice issue dedicated to why the villain does what he does.

Usually I get some other books later, depending on reviews and such.
Age of Ultron for instance hasn't impressed me yet so I'm hesitant to pick it up.

I also usually get all of the Ultimate stuff once a month.

I heard such good things I had to check it out: The silent issue of Batman and Robin #18 was devastating. Genuinely emotional and heart wrenching. Normally, I'm not keen on "silent" issues because I like snappy patter, and it's only March, but this has to be considered the best DC Comic of the year. At least one of them at year's end.

Additionally, Batman #18 was very good too. It's no coincidence the two issues of Scott Snyder's Batman run I've enjoyed most are the two featuring Harper Row. She's a compelling new character to the Bat Universe. And yeah, it's clear how everyone thinks she should be Robin, but what I like is Harper Row herself doesn't want to be Robin

But I think what I like about Harper Row is that the way she sees and regards Batman is a prism for how I think I would also see him if I lived in Gotham: Yes, he's the coolest and he's necessary and amazing, but I wouldn't want to know him as a person either. He's more powerful as an idea. Yet Batman repeatedly finds himself encountering Harper when he's at his weakest or at his lowest ebb. You can take your Jokers and your Owls and whatnot but I think this character is the most interesting thing Scott Snyder is doing in Batman.

I usually love Wolverine and the X-Men but #26 should have been titled "Origin Again". Because that's what 80% of it was: reading Origin again.

Age of Ultron #2
Archer & Armstrong #8
Batgirl #18
Batman #18
Batman & Robin #18
Bloodshot #9
Green Lantern Corps #18
Hoax Hunters #8
Mind the Gap #8
Nowhere Men #4
Star Wars #3
Threshold #3
Walking Dead #108 - I think Ezekiel will turn out to be way worse than Negan (who is way worse than the Governor even)

In all fairness, WatXM #26 was about a hundred times more palatable than rereading Origins. It managed to cover in 10 pages what Origins took forever to do. I like the concept of Dog Logan as a crazy time traveler.

If you haven't been reading Resurrection Man, don't bother. It's actually the final issue of the series.
