It's been off the air so long, I don't know how big the following is on here but I believe some Ws were fans of Veronica Mars.
Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell have the go ahead from Warner Bros. to raise money to make a Veronica Mars movie. This is real. They are on Kickstarter. (kickstarter.com)
I just backed it, not only because I'd love to see a Veronica Mars movie but to support the idea that a movie project like this can actually happen in this manner.
I have no doubt they'll meet their goal in 30 days, and then some. We're gonna get a Veronica Mars movie in 2014.
Deputy Leo and his Douchebag Jar have to show up too!

She's probably due very soon, because Rob Thomas wants to shoot this in the summer!
I'm excited to see this take off online as well. I first saw this pop up on Twitter just under two hours ago, and they're already at over $276,000...and they just crossed $200k around noontime. Amanda Palmer is about to be surpassed in the Kickstarter Record Books.
Because the first season is some of the best TV in the history of ever (the second season less so, the third season EVEN WAY less so), and if there's a tiny shot of recapturing that, I'm all for it.
Also, it would be nice to see Kristen Bell pull out of the career path Dax has taken her down (semi-popular Showtime show aside).
"We used to be friends, a long time ago." Kind of eerily accurate now.
They've got my $20. If only there was a super-deluxe, $50K "Logan is killed in the first five minutes" donation option.
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." --- Bart Giamatti, on baseball
They're clearly going to reach $2 million in no time, maybe by the end of the week. This is feels like such an obvious idea intersection now that it's done - super dedicated & invested fanbase combined with an easy way to chip in a few dollars. It's a lot of money to raise but it's a big enough fanbase they're going to draw from enough people to do it.
I wonder how high these guys will end up. If Kickstarter existed in 2004, how much would've Serenity/Firefly have raised? 5 million?
You're not going to include the second most important actor in your list of actors to get? I imagine Enrico Colantoni gets steady work but can hopefully can fit this into his schedule. At least I would hope so, I don't want to see a Veronica Mars without Sheriff Mars or Wallace. I would say Weevil too but he was in pretty bad shape last time I saw him. Mac would be nice too.

Such a disappointing death. Sheriff Lamb was a great character and they could've come up with some other way to make Keith sheriff again.

I'm not sure how Kristen acting terribly in terrible movies is Dax's fault. Especially since Dax is GREAT on Parenthood. If anything Kristen is holding Dax down right now.

So we can essentially consider the Community "And A Movie," with publicly-smiling prodigal dads Harmon and Chevy back in the fold, to already be in a pre-production.

Isn't he still on Flashpoint, that Canadian-produced cop show with the Pink Ranger? Or is that just in endless reruns on ION?
On another note, someone call this guy because Rob Thomas deserves his belt:
9pm eastern time, the $2,000,000 goal was breached. 10 hours of fundraising, and still 30 days to go! The numbers continue to climb. Who knows where this will top out?
I think the part one was a joke in some weird way. I thought it was a pretty tight episode and the fight was awesome. Patrick Stewart continues to be my favorite voice actor in the Familyverse.
