Welcome home, men of the 2nd Bn, 127th Infantry, 32d "Red Arrow" Brigade, WI Army National Guard! Job well done in Iraq!

For the first time since 1997, the Packers will open next season without #80 on the sidelines.

After one helluva Packer career, Donald Driver is retiring from the NFL. He announced it on "Mike and Mike in the Morning" this, uh, morning. (Link to video enclosed in above link.)

His press conference/retirement ceremony is set for Wednesday, February 6th at the Lambeau Field Atrium. And yes, it'll be open to fans...tickets are available free at the Packers ticket office, starting 9 am CST on Friday, February 1st.

The end of an era, to be sure.

Chris Carter said it was because the Packers have too many receivers, and Driver was facing a move to another team if he wanted to continue playing. Given the offensive injuries the Packers seem to accumulate every year, Driver could get called up again sometime next season.

Gotta love Driver, a tremendous receiver and a class act all the way. The Packers and Packer fans will miss him.

Just came back from working the retirement ceremony. Ah, tech gremlins...what would I do without you? (Probably cuss a lot less.)

Anyway, here's the tribute video the Packers played for DD at today's goings-on:

The people on the local radio identify him as the kind of a player who seems to end up on the Patriots. We'll see.
