Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"
Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"
Austin: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah... oh man that was too much."
It looks like Saints Row: The Movie. In a good way.

Yes. Until they focus on Dom going to Japan (or mention Han's passing, or have him pull a Letty), every movie after the 3rd movie, Tokyo Drift, is before it (Fast & Furious, Fast Five, and Fast & Furious 6).

I really don't think people care about the story or the fact that Han died in Tokyo Drift but he is alive in the subsequent films. This is a pure "Turn your Brain off" series. I don't see a problem with that personally, sometimes it's good to go into a movie and just enjoy the pretty colors.

Yeah but they bring every character back, even the ones I don't remember, but poor Lucas Black gets the shaft because Paul Walker decided he is no longer "too good" to come back to the franchise.

I would give the last one (Fast Five) a chance before you give up entirely. They are moving from race movies to heist movies and that was the transitional movie, or so the producers say. Think Ocean's Eleven w/ cars (Turetto's Eleven?). If you hate the O11, then I would pass entirely.

ALSO, lots of rumors about Fast&Furious7 and it connecting to Tokyo Drift (finally!) at Ain't It Cool. It's supposed to be set during this scene from Tokyo Drift:
I liked the 2nd episode better than the first. The second was a real good episode, hitting home because they finally got around to doing a Catholic episode.
