Note: I'm dead tired and I just re-read this and I think I might be rambling, but I don't want to forget anything good so here you go...
----------
I was on hand for Smackdown tonight in Atlantic City and The Rocks return and I have to say that it was a pretty damn good show.

We open up with the typical DJ's doing an arm wrestling challenge and a few dark matches with local talent before the good stuff begins to happen.

Can you say Funaki vs. Rey Mysterio Jr? I knew you could; and what a great match they had. Mysterio picks up the win with a hurricanrana off the top rope while both men were standing up there. Gotta love his new music too, "M to the Y to the s-t-e-r-i-o!" =D Mysterio's video package sets his debut for two weeks, so get ready!

Then we get the typical Velocity crud, Albert vs. Rob Conway and what have you, but we also get Tajiri vs. Shannon Moore! I'm not sure if this is on Velocity or not, but it was a pretty good match. During the Valbowski/Test match I tried my hardest to inform everyone around me that they were both Canadians, but the USA chants were still going strong.

Next, they ask us to stand up for the Velocity opening and the pyro goes off and all and I rush off to buy my "You Suck" t-shirt, sadly, I missed a fairly good Cruiserweight contest if I'm to believe the guys in front of me.

Smackdown opens with Hogan and Edge vs. Billy and Chuck for the tag titles with Hogan and Edge retaining. The place erupted for Hogan, but there was someone who got an even louder pop when he came out. Molly defended her Womens Championship against Torrie Wilson, these two put on a much better show than Trish and Jackie did on Raw. Deacon Batista and Rev. D-Von fight Mark Henry and Randy Orton. The match was highlighted by Batista's manhandling of the gigantic Mark Henry, very impressive.

The Rock made his triumphant return and gave us all a "Finally, The Rock has come back to Atlantic City" even though I'm fairly sure he's never been here before. Busta Rhymes was in the audience and the new Halloween movie was plugged a lot before Rocky and Busta gave us their rendition of "Under the Boardwalk" Kurt Angle quickly came out to rain on Rocky's parade. Rock couldn't seem to remember who Angle reminded him of, "You look like Kurt Angle, but something's off? Is it the cologne? *Sniffs* Nope, still wearing Calvin Cline Monkey Crap. You've got that stupid "A" on your tights, what's that stand for? *Pause for Asshole chants*" Rock finally realized that he was in the ring with Dr. Evil. It was a pretty awesome interview.

After a few more matches, one starring my favorite Superhero, the Hurricane, it was time for the main event. The Undertaker and John Cena vs. Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho. Umm...yeah. Who's John Cena again and why is he pinning Chris Jericho in the main event?

Anyway show's over and everyone leaves except for Kurt Angle who calls the Rock back out. Rock quickly makes his way back out and just before they get to fighting, some guy in the front row shouts out "Get him, Angle!" Rock grabs a mic and gets some pretty good jokes going with this guy and somehow his hat ends up in the ring and Kurt puts it on. Rock asks Kurt if he knows what the hat says. Kurt takes it off and reads that it's an "Ozzy" hat, but he has no idea who that is. All Rock wants is a handshake but Kurt refuses, he's gotta know that shaking hands with the Rock can only end with a Rock Bottom. Unfortunately for Kurt, he shakes the Rocks hand and gets Rock Bottomed. Rock goes back up the ramp and Kurt picks up the mic and says "Welcome back, Rock." On his way up the ramp Rock comes back out and jokes around with Kurt some more, "You're not going to Rock Bottom me on the ramp are you, cause that would hurt." Rock is kind enough to leave Angle be and says "It's great to be back" and raises both his and Angle's hands. They leave, I leave, end show. The 15 minutes they did after the show was great. I love going to WWE live events.

I'll tell you, dude...

WWE certainly knows how to put on an entertaining live show. I went to the so-called “Biggest RAW ever” in Indianapolis when Steve Austin won his sixth (and apparently last) WWF World Heavyweight Title from Kurt Angle, and it was a shitload of fun.

I also had tons of fun at the WCW Monday Nitro card I went to back in '99, the night Scott Hall won the U.S. Title in a ladder match. After Hall won, I held up the Wolfpac sign, and I swear he looked at me, smiled, and shrugged his shoulders as if to say, “Hey, I can't help that I'm so good.”

Scott Hall became one of my favorite wrestlers that night, and he still is-- even after everything that's happened.

The last time Shannon Moore wrestled a velocity match they didn't show it, and I was pissed . but i just read a house show report that he was there. so maybe we will get to see him on tv this week so I can mark out and hope that with ReyRey on the way we are going to see a CW champ that isn't Jamie Noble. It's not that I don't like him, he just hasn't been around long enough to pose a threat as a credible champ, Even if you count his stint in the young dragons.

I hate when celebrities have to promote their stuff on WWE. Most of the movies are flops anyway. It could've been worse though, Nelly could've been there.

So I guess Torrie-freakin-Wilson is a wrestler now? Or like Terri is she just the occasional jobber? It will be interesting to see if she's improved any with this recent ring time she's been getting. But Molly getting a big pop should be interesting too...if she starts getting more cheers than Trish, might be time for the face turn!

Gee, now until tomorrow I have to imagine how Molly reacted when Torrie showed her why she won The Golden Thong Award.

You can't easily diss Busta Rhymes. He is to Master P as Undertaker is to Pete Gas.

Ozzy hat!! Ha ha. I give credit to WWE for alluding to the one show that beat them in cable ratings. Man, Rock and Angle totally broke kayfabe at the end of the Rock/Angle exchanges. (Snif) Too bad Undertaker is not enjoying this.

Sounds like a great show top to bottom.

Yeah, Molly vs. Torrie Wilson sounds interesting. Could be Torrie's best match. Also for the Molly fans out there, she wrestles Jacquline on Heat with Crash as the ref!

That roster is just beyond deep. Ray Mysterio was in a dark match. Hulk Hogan for the second week in a row is in the first Smackdown match. He probably needs extra beauty rest.

The lack of crowd reaction is the bookers reaping what they have sown over the course of the last year. They have made it so that no one is able to buy into anyone not named HBK being able to beat HHH, especially without some sort of assistance.
