Yeah, I think it's the best Slammys since the one in '87 when Vince danced and sang "Stand Back" and Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Harley Race had a 30 minute food fight backstage.
I'm going by the fact that I still remember that show decades later, vs. what little I remember of The Slammys since. (I remember Shawn and Bret dueling Slammy-winning promos in '96 and Angry Miz Girl in 2010. Also Maria winning Diva of the Year that one year because of how genuinely surprised she was.)

I'm sad that nobody remembers the Slammies as one of The Two-Time Slammy Award-Winning Owen Hart's finest moments.

I definitely remember Owen having two Slammys, I just don't remember what Slammys that happened at. '94? '95? '96?
Punk was incredible last night. Also, I'm not sure if he's debuted it before, but man, that t-shirt...Punk vs Rock is going to be special in its buildup.
Soooo...that was dead silence for Zack Ryder, right? Or I suppose the mics could've been turned down a whole bunch. Maybe that vote from a few weeks ago wasn't rigged?
Also, hey, whatever happened to Fandango(o)? We got Big E (and I forget...the Shield too?) before he cut in?
Originally posted by John OrquiolaThing is, the Divas division desperately needs a top babyface. Kaitlyn and Layla each have their deficiencies and Eve is comparatively an overwhelming heel presence. AJ is the most over Diva, and one of the most over acts in the company. Before the TLC ladder tipping of Cena, logic suggested AJ would eventually be programmed against Eve. And it could still end up that way; there's a burgeoning angle about Eve being sore she lost Diva of the Year to AJ on wwe.com and there are a lot of weeks to build for AJ vs. Eve at WrestleMania in AJ's home state.
It is important for me to say, however, that her first, superior song was "Rock You Right Now," seemingly off a Kidz Bop album of original tunes, and it was truly excellent.

New road to Wrestlemania: Kaitlyn vs. heel AJ. From NXTIII to WMXXIX.
That 'Rock You Right Now' theme was co-opted as a generic WWE Diva theme, and you'll still hear it from time to time when they're plugging an upcoming Divas match/segment, usually during those ever popular WALKING! bits before a break.

RYRN and Insatiable were too special to be left behind. I hope someone gets Maxine's theme too.
Spin The Bottle Spin Spin The Bottle is also a major achievement.
Ah ha. So, when I looked up her lyrics last night I looked up the old theme song and read them to the Light it Up beat, which wasn't working out so well at the time, but what do I know about that kind of music. Consider me no longer bummed.
Which kind of leads me to my prbolem with Raw lately. Just don't have it in me for these d hour shows, so I tune in and out and my timing has been poor I keep hitting things like Kofi, AJ, App shilling or something else I don't care about. I know there is some good stuff I am missing, but until I can catch it I will have to worry about stuff like AJ's theme song.
My favorite Slammys ever is the one Dennis Miller hosted and he didn't realize that it wasn't a real award show and was frustrated that his jokes about the news and stuff were bombing.
