LaBeouf, 26, reportedly wanted a whopping $18 million to appear in a fourth "Transformers," Star magazine reported, according to GossipCop. Producer Steven Spielberg allegedly refused to consider funneling funds that could go toward special effects into LaBeouf's bank account, a source told the tabloid.
A rep for LaBeouf, however, dismissed Star magazine's report of money feuds.
“The story is a complete fabrication," the rep told RumorFix. "While Shia remains very close with the filmmakers/studio, he was never attached to the fourth installment (nor is he in negotiations at this time). Salary did not impact his decision.”
First and foremost, Shia will not be missed. He ruined these movies.
Now obviously, I like Mark Wahlberg better for these movies. But the lead actor (while a big problem) wasn't the main problem with these movies.
Shia's character (while completely terrible) wasn't the main problem. The main problem was that Shia's character was the MAIN character! The main characters in the Transformers movies have been Shia, Megan Fox (and Not Megan Fox in the third movie), and the military guys. The movies were never about the TRANSFORMERS! The Transformers themselves became bit players in their own movie and I really see no reason that any of that is about to change.
