Who could care anymore at this point, but Community's season premiere and perhaps entire Friday timeslot existence has been postponed.

– including winning the first week of the season in A18-49 – we’ve decided to continue to concentrate our promotional strength on our new NBC shows that are scheduled Monday through Wednesday and have therefore decided to hold COMMUNITY and WHITNEY from their previously announced premieres of October 19th. Without having to launch these comedies on Friday at this time, we can keep our promotion focused on earlier in the week -- plus we will have both comedies in our back pocket if we need to make any schedule changes on those nights. When we have a better idea of viewing patterns in the next few weeks, we will announce new season premieres of WHITNEY and COMMUNITY.
At this point, I think I am more offended by Community and Whitney appearing in the same sentence than anything else.
Perhaps it's something they can shop around if the axe does fall for good? I'd love for it to show up as a series on Netflix or Hulu Plus (sorry Canucks!).
As long as the episodes get released, I don't care when. It's actually better for me if they hold off on putting them out now, since I watch a few fall-only comedies (Always Sunny, the League), making the winter/spring less crowded and a good time for Community.
It's worth noting that probably the ONLY REASON NBC won the coveted demos in the first week is because they were the only network to premiere stuff that early in the month.
All the other networks began their stuff the week after, which is why NBC can only brag about that one week.
I gotta say NBC pushing Community back for the new shows that I have no interest in doesn't bother me. Anybody here that watches the Venture Bros and The Boondocks like me may be use to extended hiatuses of their favorite shows. As long as the show is coming back one day, and they keep Community off "The Friday Death Slot" we are okie dokie.
Just you wait, boss, Happy Endings threads will be sung from the mountains, and Ben & Kate have a chance to earn the same treatment according to current projections.
Sorry, but I need to interrupt your discussion of Zooey Deschanel based sitcoms for this breaking news update
Now, if everyone will please over-analyze this 90 second clip to confirmed their preconceived notions of the show runner changes, we can call it a week.
"You can tell the new show-runners aren't as good from this 90 second clip". Go blow.
I feel pretty encouraged that Community is going to wind up in a good state when it does come back. I think it's going to wind up on a non-Friday night at this point. They'll probably just wait to see what else to get rid of.
When all those people in Farenheit 9/11 got those awards, who is that supposed to insult? Michael Moore, who made the movie, or the "actors" themselves?
