Well, it's Marvel NOW! I wrote up a review of Uncanny Avengers #1 (backofthehead.com) with SPOILERS. Suffice to say, I enjoyed it. A strong, mutant and Xavier-heavy, follow up to AvX setting up the dynamics of this new Avengers/X-Men team and the enemy they face, which is pretty cool.

His brain, are you fucking serious? I do wonder if Cap murdering a mutant after making a bid deal about helping mutants will be brought up again or just thrown aside. Rogue is not wrong about Scarlett Witch and I am kinda pissed they are letting Wanda just give a whatever to genociding an entire people. Yeah, Erik would have given a better eulogy, but you know he is a wanted man for helping bring everyone together?

Geeez. Never knew you were this much of an X-men fan and defender.

Avalanche let himself fall. Cap didn't do it.
And Cyclops has been slowly turning into a Magneto like character for years now. It was sped up by the Phoenix Force.

Obviously the decision was made to let the Avengers be the good guys, but as everyone but you has pointed out, the X-men weren't wrong either. The end however did not justify the means they (Scott, Emma, etc) were using.

I did like how Rogue didn't just make peace with Wanda.

I liked it a lot, despite Logan's crappy eulogy.
Then again, that fits his persona.
Obviously Cap wants Havoc because he's Scott's brother and having him on board is a good PR move.

There's a few other fun stories in AvX Consequences (though Cyc is in a different prison there. wth, they need to fix that) that set up an interesting future.
Even if Cap and the Avengers want to hug it out with the mutants, the rest of the world isn't so happy to see them return.

How is having the brother of the man who nearly destroyed the world last week leading your new super-mutant-best-friends-forever team a good PR move?

It's like letting Hitler's brother lead the British special forces.

"Yes, we have Hitler's brother. But he just denounced every act of chicanery that Adolf has done in his life, has just hugged a baby and helped deliver five puppies. You see, it's not the name, it's not the race/color, it was the person that was messed up. You can trust us."

AvX: Consequences #1 took place after Uncanny Avengers #1, judging from Wolverine telling Captain America that he gave the eulogy at Xavier's funeral. Cyclops must have been moved from the ruby quartz cell in The Brig to the regular prison to prove the point that he's just another criminal.

What threw me off more than anything was Cap's wardrobe. Totally different from the costume he wore in Uncanny Avengers #1. It's like he woke up and decided, "Today, I'm gonna wear the suit I wore in the movie."

But then, superheroes can be allowed to have variations of their costumes they rotate. Who wears the same clothes every day? Yet we expect superheroes to.

Moving him doesn't make any sense because the guy in consequences comes out and says "It would be too expensive to build a special cell for all of you mutants" but THEY ALREADY DID for him. He then goes on to mock Scott for thinking he deserved a S.H.I.E.L.D. cell, when he had already been in one.

It's just poor editing.

Cap's ear flaps make him look like a nerd.

One thing's changed about reading comics over the years:

Complaining on message boards about mistakes < writing a letter to Marvel and getting a No Prize.

But Wanda didn't kill anyone, she just depowered most of the mutants right?

Some of them ended up dying if I remember correctly. Also, what she did was pretty close to the genocide scale. They did have a storyline called Endangered Species after it happened.

Not that it matters in any real sense of the word, but when Wanda did her No More Mutants thing, many of them did die.

In one of the Decimation books, there are a few pages explicitly showing this. I clearly remember one mutant who had fire-based powers, liked to frolic around volcanos, and was killed when the lights went off. I more vaguely recall one who was flying and plummeted to certain doom.
