It does sound like a heel promo to me or a guy who wants some down time. Either way, I don't blame him.

The Wee Baby Sheamus.Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.

Secondary impact injury from repeated Five Knuckle Shuffles.

"The Viper" Randy Orton can attest to the danger of doing your signature move with too much enthusiasm.

Cena's like the Cal Ripken Jr. of wrestling. Take a couple weeks off man.

He's like that guy at work that has triple-digit personal and sick days banked. Just use 'em already. It's more annoying than impressive.

wwe.com amended their story. (wwe.com)

The company's top star reamed the company website publicly but the website chose not to acknowledge those tweets.

I wonder if Cena's unusual public criticism of a company employee will ultimately end up as a bigger story than the injury itself.

I'm sure that was the plan when they scripted his criticism.

Welcome home, men of the 2nd Bn, 127th Infantry, 32d "Red Arrow" Brigade, WI Army National Guard! Job well done in Iraq!

Gotta give Cena points for an Onion reference.

Now if #jackwagon actually trends, color me impressed.

Read it and weep, fella

Any chance Cena is genuinely miffed that the .com is telling his fans that he'll be ready to wrestle way before he will actually be ready to wrestle?

Based on what the IRS says, here are the specific things that at least in my mind would indicate an employee/employer relationship in this case. This reminds me a bit of the Microsoft perma-temps in some ways.
