I caught part of a college football game on ESPN last night where the announcers said a player was "trending on Twitter".

It's spreading...

I disagree entirely. I would think that the tag team option doing so well last week is exactly why they're now tagging and going for the titles. They clearly wanted this to be a rivalry rather than a team, so the fact that they actually seem to have listened for once shouldn't be discouraged.

Methinks he doth protest too much. But hey, it's 2012; I'm not judging him.

Let's be honest here: If Daniel did swing that way, he could get better looking guys than Kane.

I'm Charlie Owens, good night, and good luck.

Daniel Bryan sharing the same bed as Kane would last roughly fifteen seconds. Once Kane did his traditional 'Make the bedposts burst into flame' before lying down, Bryan would be in the next hotel over.

Have I mentioned how nice it is that we know Lawler is doing better now, so I can feel comfortable with more light-hearted discussions like this?

If I'm Vince, I make Jerry the WWE champ for a week. The arena would go crazy.

You want to put the belt on someone who just had a heart attack? A heart attack is nature's way of saying it's time to stop wrestling.

The Lawler thing seems to have turned Cole babyface. Wonder if that'll stick?

I hope so. Of the many stupid things that annoy me about the current WWE, heel play-by-play announcer Michael Cole is the worst.

Maybe he can replace AJ as GM. But they're gonna play up his seemingly complete recovery. There's hay to be made.

I wouldn't disagree entirely, as I said they seemed to want them to fight in spite of the polling for that show, but you're right in that after some time they figured it out.

At least it was better than their usual ones which are things like:

What kind of match should it be?
#noholdsbarred
#noDQ
#hardcore

Or:
Which opponent for [HEEL WRESTLER]
#heelwrestler2
#lowercardface
#maineventface

The concept is fine but you have to give different & fair options and roll with whatever the fuck the people choose.

If they were going to give him a token run with the WWE Championship, it should have been last year over The Miz at Elimination Chamber, with him losing it sometime between then and WrestleMania.

I'm not sure I'd do it now. It could be dangerous, and at the very least it would stretch credulity from a kayfabe perspective.

Eh. My grandmother's boyfriend had a heart attack while landscaping someone's lawn. When it was over, he got back up and finished the job. It wasn't until he went to the doctor the next day that it was confirmed as a heart attack.

Lawler's attack was clearly much more serious, but a heart attack isn't necessarily the end of life as the sufferer knows it. People run marathons after having heart attacks. If the doctors clear Lawler to wrestle, then it's most likely safe to do so. It's not like Lawler is putting on high impact, fast paced iron man matches.

Not that I'm saying they should put the title on him. They can get plenty of mileage out of the story without doing that. Personally, I'd like to see Lawler take on a managerial role... sort of a reverse Heenan where he recruits faces to take out the heel champ.
