While I'm stealing stuff from B&C (broadcastingcable.com), let me go ahead and tell you they've announced Seth MacFarlane as the "Saturday Night Live" season 38 opener guest host. Frank Ocean will be musical guest. This episode will air 9/15.
Also announced were Joseph Gordon-Levitt with Mumford & Sons (9/22) and Daniel Craig with Muse (10/6). (I am assuming 9/29 is TBA and not a rerun.) These are solid choices, but they better announce some female guests before certain Internet folks start blogging again.
As for the season opener, I sure hope they can keep from having MacFarlane sing in EVERY sketch. (And/or drink.)

I'm more surprised they didn't just use have him do double duty as the musical guest. Still, a musical monologue is pretty much a certainty.
Agreed. I bet he's been preparing for this his whole life, even before he was famous. Should be really good (and I'm not really a Family Guy fan, but not a hater either).
"You are going to get a certain amount of snarkiness on the Internet no matter what, and my rule is that you don't post anything that you wouldn't say to someone's face." Marc Andreyko (Writer of DC Comic's "Manhunter")
They usually announce new cast members fairly last-minute, with even the actors themselves not knowing until a week or two before the premiere. You'd think at least a couple of newcomers would be added to the cast given the departures of Wiig, Samburg, Abby Elliott and Sudeikis having one foot out the door.
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." --- Bart Giamatti, on baseball

This looks to be a season exploring Dexter's spirituality, or lack thereof. -We are several months past the events of last season. Angel is divorced again (can't remember if that happened last season, but don't remember it)
