He must of known I had just come into town.

The thread is a day late, but there is finally a good reason to put a Mariner logo on the front page. This wasn't one of those close perfect games either, Felix was mowing them down from begining to end.

Thankfully, the Mariners managed to score a run.

That's two perfect games and one no-hitter at Safeco Field this year. It is truly the anti-Coors Field.

"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." --- Bart Giamatti, on baseball

Even more incredibly, the Mariners have been on the PITCHING side of two of those three no-nos.

Felix was incredible. I follow a lot of the M's beat writers on Twitter and they knew something was up early on. I followed from my office and waited until the eighth inning was over to mention it to my boss, and then I found a stream and everyone came into my office to watch the 9th. Good times.

Holy fuck shit motherfucker shit. Read comics. Fuck shit shit fuck shit I sold out when I did my job. Fuck fuck fuck shit fuck. Sorry had to do it....

I hereby retract my questioning of his Cy Young.
Outstanding effort!
Now, if the Yankees could just sign him...........

I watched the last few innings of this the other night on the reply, knowing the result. Man, it still sucked me in. He was amazing in the 8th and 9th. I need to sit down and watch this full game later this week if I can find the time.
