Interesting to see how this leads since he apparently is retiring soon. He's a divisive figure in the IWC due to his Benoit rip off style and NJPW junior on speed matches (some love the finisherfests, some watch the .gif of him no selling a superplex and sigh), but this speaks to a bigger issue than "no sold a brainbuster to hit a kick"
Indy promoters are not the most trustworthy people. There are probably some honest ones out there, but I would not assume any one is telling the complete truth without knowing them.
That said, Richards has been increasingly erratic this year. Among other misadventures, he lost a really good NJPW spot for missing a plane flight due to a mystery car accident that didn't seem to stop him from working for ROH. And he doesn't seem on good terms with them, even before the anti-ROH trailer for an upcoming Davey Richards interview was released. He doesn't seem very happy, though it's still a big jump to ripping off people and burning bridges.
So Kyle O'Reilly publicly admitted to stealing. That should be enough to get him arrested the next time he's in Iowa, right?
I only made it about a third of the way through Davey Richards' response before being so bogged down by his ignorance that my head slammed into the keyboard, thankfully closing my browser.
There is absolutely no justification for the way they behaved as a group that weekend, regardless of how they felt they were being treated. You only have to look at their pathetic gloating on Facebook to see how their minds work - this was a group of high-school bullies pushing people around and laughing about it.
Whatever, you guys. We are talking about professional wrestlers, warrior athletes of honor and self-sacrifice. Disrespecting them is like disrespecting neonatal nurses, or knights.
...I'd advise you to go get the Tough Enough Box Set from season one. Back on the second episode (third if you count the casting ep,) Triple H visited the crew to talk about how life was going to be as a WWF superstar.
