TONIGHT: Fall-out from Money in the Bank, including John Cena as the WWE Title MITB holder – will he declare his intentions to cash it in (he did Tweet that he’d have a big announcement tonight)? Will Dolph Ziggler, who holds the World Title MITB briefcase? The Miz returned last night…will he be on the show tonight? Will we finally get the next step in the A.J./C.M. Punk/Daniel Bryan story? What legend will challenge Heath Slater? And will anything be announced for next week’s 1,000th episode of Raw?

-WWE Open.

-Raw Open.

-I can’t believe they even bother calling Raw a “supershow” anymore. That is, we got the usual fireworks as Michael Cole intro’d the show from Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

-Jerry Lawler talked about John Cena winning the WWE Title MITB case last night. We got a graphic of a super-elated Cena grabbing the briefcase.

-The announcers made it sound like tonight’s CM Punk vs. Big Show main event is a once-a-year type Raw main event. Bless their hearts for trying, at least.

-Punk came out. He seemed to be in a celebratory mood as the crowd chanted his name. Punk said he loved Las Vegas. He reminisced about dropping a pipe bomb one year ago, saying he spoke his mind, starting a revolution. And look where he is now as a character. He said he’s beaten all comers, including Daniel Bryan last night with a very confused referee…but it all started a year ago in Vegas. Punk said when Raw first started, a guy who looked like him, talked like him, never would’ve been on that first show let alone standing in the ring in his eighth month as WWE Champion. He began to talk more about next week when Big Show’s music interrupted and he walked out.

Show mocked what Punk was speaking about and said he was within inches of getting that MITB contract. “Big Show sucks” chant. Show called the fans “rude” and said he’s trying to make a point. I doubt it, but he continued anyway. He said Cena was in the right place at the right time when the handle broke, allowing Cena to get the briefcase. Show said if he won, he’d be cashing it in right now. Punk said “almost” doesn’t count in wrestling, and while Show may have dominated, he lost. Just like he always does. It’s why someone half Show’s size, like him, has the respect of everyone and the WWE Title, while Show has a big contract and the respect of no one. Show countered by saying the fans don’t even respect themselves, let alone Punk. He said if Punk left WWE tomorrow, he gives the fans about a week before they’d move onto the next new thing – trust him, he knows.

Show said they both know this company revolves around one man. He said Punk is just a cog in the machine. “I’m the WWE Champion…and you’re not,” said Punk. He said Show was a bitter, underachieving shell of a man who happens to be a giant. Show reminded Punk that Cena is Mr. Money in the Bank now. And after Punk loses his match to Show via knockout, he could well possibly lose the championship to John Cena. Show then dropped the mic as a pipe bomb.

-Cole and Lawler talked about Raw 1,000 next week. Lawler directed fans to WWE’s YouTube channel where they can watch the first episode of Raw. Lawler completely botched the address he was supposed to send fans to.

-The Rock returns next week to Raw 1,000.

-Kofi Kingston and R-Truth were walking backstage. They’ve got a title match coming up next.

[Commercial Break]

-They showed shots of the strip in Vegas.

-Fans can vote which championship will be defended next week on Raw 1,000. Fans can vote on WWE.com whether the US Title, IC Title, or Divas Title will be defended. The results will be revealed later tonight.

(1) Kofi Kingston & R-Truth vs. The Primetime Players – WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Cole said the DX reunion will kick-off the three hour Raw next week. As usual, AW’s mic work could be heard by everyone. High dropkick by Kofi to D Young. Truth came in and did his split, then a leg-drop. Cross-body off the top rope by Kingston for two. Both Young and Titus O’Neil were sent outside the ring. Kofi jumped off the back of Truth (who was on all fours) and flipped onto Young and O’Neil on the outside. They cut to break at 1:56.

[Commercial Break]

Back at 5:30 with Kofi working out of a rear waist-lock. Kofi tried to make the tag, but Young held him back. O’Neil ended up tagging in and breaking up an attempted pin by Kofi – the ref rightly didn’t count because Young was not the legal man. O’Neil got into an argument with ref Mike Chioda when Chioda had to back him away from a corner attack on Kofi. AW helped Young out with his ‘do outside the ring, thanks to a handy comb. Kofi got away and made the tag to Truth, who went to work on Titus. Awkward DDT on O’Neil, broken up by Young. Young was clotheslined off the top rope. AW got on the apron as a distraction, but Trouble in Paradise on O’Neil by Kofi was followed by the Little Jimmy on O’Neil by Truth. Champs retain.

Winners: Truth and Kingston, at 8:01. Solid enough work. I’m glad the PTP’ers didn’t win after their recent string of losses. That would’ve been predictable even-steven booking.

-AJ was on her phone backstage. She preemptively apologized by saying she’s sorry if Bryan didn’t like her calling it down the middle last night, but Bryan interrupted and apologized himself for how he’s acted toward her since Wrestlemania. He said he can finally admit something to her…but Eve Torres walked up. She was offended that Bryan ditched her in their tag match last week. So she went to the Board of Directors, who made the match of Bryan and AJ against Eve and a partner of her choice. She said payback is a…well…exactly what AJ is. AJ asked what Bryan was going to say after Eve walked off, but Bryan said he’d tell her after their match. Then he kissed her on the cheek and walked off.

[Commercial Break]

- A video with WWE Superstars touting Tout aired.

- The announcers showed us the very first Tout John Cena EVER sent out. Holy moly! Hey, who’s holding the phone?

(2) Zack Ryder vs. Alberto Del Rio
Del Rio went after Ryder as if he had a point to prove. Ryder booted Del Rio, but ADR gave him the single-arm DDT. Cole mentioned that the new RAW GM will be announced next week. Hey, who’s the GM this week? And if there isn’t one, then why do we need one, since obviously a show can go on without one? Yeah, so Del Rio whooped Ryder and made him submit to the Cross arm-breaker.

Winner: Del Rio, at 1:31. When you need Del Rio to get a big win, Ryder seems to be the go-to guy.

As ADR went after Ryder post-match, Rey Mysterio’s music played and he made his return. Cole reminded fans it was ADR’s finisher that put Mysterio on the shelf almost a year ago. Mysterio rushed the ring and while ADR got the quick advantage, Mysterio turned the tide and gave him the 619. Crowd was hot for Rey. ADR and Ricardo Rodriguez retreated as Rey celebrated. They replayed Rey’s surprise run-in.

-Heath Slater’s greatest Raw moment: When the One Man Band came to Raw. He talked about all the legends he ran into, yet somehow made his losses seem positive.

-Another Raw legend is in the house, and he’ll face Slater next. Little earlier in the show than usual for this segment.

[Commercial Break]

-Heath Slater was in the ring as usual. Slater asked who it was going to be this week. This time, he knows a Raw legend would come out. He said he’s not stupid. Then Too Cool’s music hit and Rikishi came out.

(3) Heath Slater vs. Rikishi
“Rikishi” chants. He wrestled with a shirt on, but his usual other gear. Slater got cocky early and received a superkick then a stink-face. Umaga thumb strike put Slater down, then Rikishi gave Slater the Bonzai Drop for the win.

Winner: Rikishi, at 1:10. Nice tributes to some fallen family members there by Rikishi. Of course, the announcers didn’t mention the connection.

The lights went out with Rikishi in the ring. When they came back on, the Usos were in the ring to join Rikishi for the dance. That was cool.

-Who will Eve’s partner be? And what did Daniel Bryan want to tell AJ? We’ll answer at least one of those questions next, when the match happens.

[Commercial Break]

-Next week, in case you haven’t heard, is three hours of Raw 1,000.

(4) Eve Torres & The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan & AJ – Mixed Tag Team Match
During Eve’s entrance, we got a clip of how this match came about, when Bryan shirked his tag-team duties. Eve got the mic to announcer her tag partner – it was The Miz. Cole proclaimed, other than Serena Williams, AJ is the most influential woman athlete on Twitter. And how do you measure “influential” on Twitter?

Bryan started Miz with a side head-lock. High-knee by the newly-coifed Miz. AJ tagged herself in and Eve kicked away at AJ in the corner. Kick to the chest and a cover for two. AJ with a kick to the head, then a spinning leg lariat. Shining wizard but Miz distracted the ref on a cover attempt. AJ appeared unhappy, so she dropkicked Miz off the apron. She gave that strange look to Miz and Miz charged back in the ring. Eve with a small package on AJ, but the ref was still concerned with Miz. Bryan rolled the small package so that AJ was on top and she picked up the win.

Winners: AJ and Bryan, at 2:52. Something tells me the match was just a means to an end, specifically, the post-match…

…as Bryan grabbed a mic. “Yes” chants from the crowd. Bryan said there’s something AJ used to say to him, something he was always too scared and too stupid to say back. But he now realizes his career and life won’t be right until he says this too. “AJ…I love you.” Crowd booed. AJ grabbed something from ringside and said Bryan asked her a question last week because he wanted to become WWE Champion. But this week, he doesn’t want anything – except this. Bryan got down on one knee. “AJ, will you marry me?” Bryan put the ring on her finger, to join the millions of bracelets she had on her wrist. AJ said “yes.” They can get a quickie marriage, after all, it is Vegas. But for now, they just made out in the ring. Bryan and AJ chanted “yes” while some fans chanted “no” and others “yes.” Is this the face turn?

-John Cena, as Mr. MITB, will be here tonight.

-And in the main event, CM Punk faces The Big Show.

[Commercial Break]

-More exterior shots of Vegas as Cole plugged Raw 1,000.

-Raw 1,000 moment: Rock with Steve Austin’s Smoking Skull belt, throwing it and Austin in the river.

-“Vintage Rock!” said Cole as he and Lawler talked Raw 1,000 on commentary, mentioning the DX reunion to start the show.

-Cole read Daniel Bryan’s latest Tweet, where he invited the fans to their wedding next week on Raw.

-Jack Swagger came out for a match. Ryback was his opponent, but Swagger attacked before the bell and he gave Ryback a Gutwrench powerbomb. Next was a Swagger bomb. The match still hasn’t started. Ankle-lock applied by Swagger, but Ryback reversed. Shoulder tackle by Swagger. Another try for the ankle-lock, and Ryback kicked if off again. Hard clothesline by Ryback, then a spinebuster. Three powerbombs from Ryback, where he picked Swagger up off the mat after each one. Swagger was sent out of the ring as Ryback’s music played. No match, but Swagger got in WAY more offense than I expected.

-Remember…CM Punk vs. Big Show in the main event.

[Commercial Break]

-Boy, Lawler is struggling tonight. He sent it to another Tout by Cena, where he plugged his big announcement tonight regarding the MITB contract.

-Vickie Guerrero came out. She intro’d Dolph Ziggler as the winner of the World Title MITB match last night. Ziggler, not in wrestling gear, walked out with his blue briefcase. Ziggler reminded everyone that every MITB contract has been cashed in successfully. He said it’s only a matter of time before he cashes in on Sheamus, then becomes the greatest champion in WWE history. He said he’d be better than Bret Hart, Steve Austin, and The Rock. Vickie acted as his echo until Chris Jericho’s music hit and he walked out to interrupt.

Ziggler said for once, this isn’t about Jericho. He said Jericho wasn’t going to leech onto Ziggler’s spotlight – it’s his moment. He won his MITB match, Jericho didn’t win his. In fact, he never won Money in the Bank. “When was the last time you won anything?” Ziggler asked. Jericho stayed silent and Ziggler interpreted that as Jericho not being able to remember either. He mocked Jericho’s catchphrase and said apparently what he does best is lose. He said nobody has gotten more chances than Jericho and he’s been coasting for so long, he’s got everyone fooled. He said Jericho is all hype, then asked when the last time was the Jericho won an important match. Ziggler asked if Jericho was losing his touch. As Ziggler told Vickie that Jericho is losing his touch, Jericho gave Ziggler the Code-breaker. That seemed like a big promo for Ziggler and he did a great job with it.

-Still to come, Punk vs. The Big Show.

[Commercial Break]

-More shots of the Vegas skyline.

-Touts from fans of their favorite Raw moments.

-Next Monday, we’ll get the wedding of Daniel Bryan and AJ.

-Also, the DX reunion kicks off Raw.

-And Brock Lesnar will give an official answer to Triple H RE: Summerslam.

-But that’s not all: The Rock will be live on Raw 1,000.

-Brodus Clay and the Funkadactyls made their entrance.

-The IC title will be defended next week on Raw 1,000, getting 36% of the votes. The Divas Title was second at 34% and the US Title was third with 30%. Clay fights next.

[Commercial Break]

-The Daniel Bryan and AJ wedding will be next week.

-Friday night on Christian’s Peep Show, AJ and Bryan will be guests.

(5) Brodus Clay vs. JTG
Hey, JTG gets an entrance. He’s got a new look thanks to his last run on NXT. JTG was shoved off on a lock-up attempt, then put down with a shoulder-block. Shot to the gut by Clay, then a knee-lift. Overhead suplex was landed. Punk vs. Big Show was next, which means even Cena’s interviews are big-footing Punk in main events now. JTG got a brief advantage and worked a front face-lock. Clay came back and headbutted JTG down then hit a splash for three at 2:31.

Winner: Clay, at 2:31. This was more palatable when Rikishi got the job done in like a minute earlier in the show.

-Punk vs. Big Show is next.

-Donald Trump’s favorite Raw moment was Vince coming out after losing his hair to Trump, and Lashley revealing Vince’s bald head.

[Commercial Break]

-A DX reunion (only HBK and Triple H shown, as I guess that’s been retconned to be THE Degeneration X) will kick off Raw next week at 8 pm EST.

(6) CM Punk vs. The Big Show
Punk tried the tried-and-true tactic of hitting and running against Show. Show caught Punk with a right hand to the shoulder, a glancing blow as Punk tried to move out of the way. Shot to the gut by Show but Punk fought back with rights to the mid-section of his own. Show shook them off (naturally) and plowed over Punk. He stepped on the back of Punk, using the ropes as leverage. Hard chop to the chest and Punk fell to the arena floor. Punk fought back but was felled by a headbutt. A very angry anti-Punk fan made his voice known at ringside. Punk sent Show into the post and both men made their way back into the ring. Punk got the better of Show, but Show knocked Punk on his keester again. Show choked Punk in the corner with a giant boot. Splash was unsuccessful, as was Punk’s try of a double axe-handle off the second rope.

Bodyslam by Show. “Punk looks like a child in the arms of Big Show,” said Cole. Is that really how you want to portray your champion? Punk jumped on Show’s back for a sleeper. That turned into a side slam by Show. Show to the second rope, but Punk moved out of the way before Show could splash him. Punk began his comeback with a series of clotheslines, then a kick. High back-body drop by Show. Show threatened to knock Punk out and cocked for it. Punk ducked and kicked Show right in the back of the head. And another. And another. Running knee in the corner by Punk. And another. And another. Show missed a corner splash and Show hit the mat with authority. Punk went to the top and connected on the elbowdrop. Show kicked out. Springboard by Punk, but Show caught him for a chokeslam. Cover, but Punk put his foot on the bottom rope. Show was none too happy so he worked over Punk’s ribs in the corner. Right hand after right hand. He made the mistake of shoving the ref, who disqualified him.

Winner, via DQ: Punk, at 9:16.

Show’s assault continued. He lined up for the punch, but Cena’s music hit and he ran to the ring with the briefcase. Both announcers guessed that Cena would cash in. Show left the ring before he and Cena came to blows. Cena grabbed a mic and before he made his big announcement, Show got the mic and predicted Cena would cash in the briefcase right now. An out-of-breath Show got on the apron and asked Cena how long it’s been since he’s been champion. After all, it was the belt he designed. Show, like Kane, tried to talk Cena into being EVIL and cashing in on Punk now. Cena gave Punk a week to prepare for his biggest challenge yet. He said next week on Raw 1,000, they’ll find out who the best in the World really is. He made it official, saying he’s going to cash in next week. Cena said his huge announcement was…then he clocked Show with the briefcase. Punk held his title over his head and Cena did the same with the MITB briefcase.

Yo I told you guys Jericho turned babyface last night. Actually I would say he turned babyface the night with Daniel Bryan when he brought all his catchphrases back. And really when he came back from suspension he was playing to the anti-Cena crowd. I know he's said he never wanted to be a face again, but it's the right move. We saw with his comeback at the beginning of the year that he's hit "audience's beloved figure who transcends angles" status. Plus, the 2008 axiomatic hypocrite Jericho character has gone full circle, having mastered his enemy Shawn Michaels' sad old man face.

If SummerSlam is all the matches they teased tonight, it's going to be a hell of a show for the first time in a while.
- HHH vs. Lesnar
- Cena vs. Punk rematch
- Sheamus vs. Big Show or Orton
- Rey vs. Del Rio
- Jericho vs. Ziggler
- Bryan vs. some fallout from the wedding (Miz? Kane?)

Oh right, the wedding. Well, if you wanted to know the payoff to the three months of Bryan/AJ/Punk, it's ... hey look over there, we've got something new now. Oh well, should be a lot of fun.

RIKISHI RULES. That was the best one. Not even sad that there was no Rikishi/Brodus shimmying and shaking. His finisher tributes and dance party with the Usos were emotional.

JTG, also a great returning Raw superstar of the past.

Jack Swagger is the Saturn of Ryback's Goldberg story mode.

For such a big name return after such a long time away, Rey was a real afterthought, but I think Smackdown is in San Diego this week and it's supposed to be built around his return.

Punk vs. Cena on a show where Rock will be challenging the WWE champion? Tough odds for The Straight Edge Superstar. But I'll guess that the tradeoff is Punk wins on Raw and is the first guy to defend against MITB, then loses to Cena at SummerSlam.

This is SUCH a good point.
Obviously Miz can just come back and put himself into a big PPV match, so.....

With Big Show going after Punk,
Has there been any talk at all about the possibility that Show and not Cena was supposed to win last night?
The handle breaking and Cena's legit look of surprise made it look like it wasn't supposed to happen that way and they just ran with it.

With them loading up Raw 1000 as a virtual WrestleMania (by free show Monday Night standards), what rating do you figure they need to call it a success, 3.7?

No one will ever call him on it, but Cole should have to eat those words "welcome to the last two-hour Raw".

I guess you have to give AW kayfabe credit for getting a PPV payday for his clients where the tag champs didn't quite get one, and then still getting the title shot tonight. Now if only he could stop costing his team their matches?

Me, I just barely got in my opinion on the PPV results thread that there was never a long-term plan with AJ, it was just something that got unexpectedly over and Vince decreed it continue along until he wants to use it. Disappointing, but I guess WWE is all about that night's entertainment. Any usage of continuity is strictly coincidental.

Given that Ziggler doesn't tend to miss details, I wonder what was with the evil smile he showed while rubbing his jaw. You'd think he'd be more upset at eating a codebreaker than happy about getting under Jericho's skin.

Okay, we get Punk/Cena next week for free. No one expects that to end clean, everyone expects it to set up a rematch at SummerSlam in 4 weeks. But are they really going to pit their top 2 faces against each other? We're going to get Big Show as a third wheel on this one, aren't we.

No Stone Cold Steve Austin announced for RAW 1000? Doing RAW 1000 without Stone Cold, the biggest RAW star ever, is like doing Hamlet without a beer swilling, foul mouthed, redneck, Texas rattlesnake of a Hamlet.

Listen, the payoff for the AJ angle has nothing to do with Punk. Punk is just the third wheel. This story was always about AJ and Daniel. We got a huge payoff this week when Daniel finally said "I love you." That was huge. He couldn't say it for 8 months. And he has no ulterior motive to marry AJ at this point, or does he?

I'm mainly tuning in for the wedding next week. This is the most excited I've been for a wrestling wedding since Lita and Kane. AJ's maid of honor is an easy guess, Kaitlyn. Who the hell will Daniel's best man be? Michael Cole? Cole would be delighted!

But I am torn between AJ and Daniel's wedding actually going through without a hitch or Miz ruining it and revealing he's with AJ or something like that.

The former Brie Bella didn't waste any time breaking Daniel's kayfabe as soon as he and AJ Tweeted their wedding announcement:

Welcome back, Rey Mysterio! Mr. 619 is Mr. 999, The Biggest Little Man not quite big enough to be held back for RAW 1000. I guess they have a packed enough three hour show planned as it is. Between the DX segment planned and The Rock segment planned, that's almost an hour right there.

I LOL'd when the fan poll showed the Divas Title drew more votes than the US Title. Maybe they should just merge those two belts, have Santina return to unify with Layla at RAW 1000.

Lawler's annoyance at AW's live mic was pretty funny consider Lawler invented calling your own match in the early days of RAW. The big difference is Lawler was funny then and wasn't limited to "Come on now! Get up! You guys gotta get it together!"

The irony of Punk's almost year of champ is that he main evented just one PPV during that time and more than likely will lose next week, so they can set-up Cena/Rock for the title at SummerSlam. What they do with Punk after that, I have no idea. AJ/Bryan seem to be going their own way via Liz and Macho Man. Ziggler/Jericho has the potential to be the show stealer and Brock vs. HHH is ready to go. Facing Big Show would seem like a step down. Even if Cena doesn't win at Raw 1000, I think SummerSlam is the next option and even then, I don't think they will keep him feuding with Cena unless they turn one of them. I just have this bad feeling, they are going to turn the wrong person.

I do think people expect Rock to cost Cena the match, but what if the reason there is no Stone Cold anything, is due to the fact he is going to cost Punk the match?

Can I say, I really didn't miss Miz at all mainly due to the bottle neck of heels this show has. I would think this is Rey's last run and it also begs the question if he is going after ADR, who is Sheamus going to fight?

I just wanna say, if somehow Miz does end up running off with AJ (and there's nothing to indicate such except for the facial expressions exchange between them after she dropkicked him off the apron during their match), Brangelina-ing their names would not go well.

It would either be:

M-AJ (May-jay) or, much worse, AJiz. (Ay-Jizz).

I was surprised by the fan vote. Figured Santino would win in a landslide.

So it is just the HBK/HHH DX that is going to show up and make dick jokes not the X-Pac one right? I would actually rather see the X-Pac version and have HBK just show up later as himself since his DX run wasn't what defined him. Speaking of which how is Helmsley going to go from doing 40 year old crotch chops to serious CEO badass in the same night. I hope Brock F5s the shit out of DX HHH to start the show.

I really hope the oft rumored Punk turn is just hot air, I can't follow the mentality of a company that refuses to turn Cena when they've had plenty of perfect opportunity's to do so, and yet would consider turning Punk heel, even though Punk is on the verge of becoming the company's top man for the next eight or so years.

That would be worth the filler for this show.

Rock's gotta be in Summerslam somehow. If he's not challenging whoever wins Cena/Punk, then he's gotta be the special ref for Brock/Hunter. He has storyline heat with both.

Unless this happens. Or just Brock nuking Michaels. In fact, HBK selling a complete massacre by Brock would be just about the only thing that would interest me in a Brock/HHH build.

With any luck, they'll have a live string quartet for this wedding, too, and then Bryan's best man can be Regal just so we get a strings and weepy lady singer version of "Real Man's Man".

Plus, I just want Regal out there to make Regalfaces during whatever crazy stuff goes down during the wedding. Kinda sad we won't get a Daniel Bryan Bachelor Party...though I guess they could do that on SmackDown.

Unless Kane himself interrupts the wedding, I'm hoping this one goes less like the last few Raw weddings and instead they embrace the New Macho/Liz dynamic and have this play out more like the Snake Bite Wedding Reception. Though I don't know who would be the right Jake Roberts stand-in unless a guy like Ambrose was ready to debut on #1000, which could be fun. Miz/AJ/Bryan would do nothing for me, though. I just don't think Miz can commit to selling as weird an angle as this has been in the way that AJ, Bryan, Punk and Kane have been able to do.

Re: Cena/Punk, they're hitting the "still overshadowed by Cena" point enough that it's almost impossible that Punk won't do something about it next week one way or another. It puts them in a very odd booking spot, since they "can't" turn Cena and turning Punk against Cena would still only work on half the audience. Meanwhile, Punk only winning because someone interferes does nothing to help Punk, and Cena only winning because someone interferes means that Cena, as the Human Spirit of Fair Play, would have to feud with the guy who cost Punk the title.

The situation is obviously different since Punk gets 6 days, 23 hours more warning than Rey did, but this will be the second summer in a row where Cena happily takes a full week off between matches before taking a title shot against a champ who worked the PPV and the Raw after.

I hope Austin does show up next week and just drives his quadrunner around the arena looking for Silent Rage.

Daniel's NXT mentor, The Miz.

Daniel Bryan realizes now that it was Miz's tough love that enabled him to be at the level he is at now.

Poor Shawn Michaels....he's gonna get killed by Lesnar on Monday.

This show was an improvement over recent weeks, and at least next weeks 3 hour show seems awesome on paper. How good they will be after that without DX, Rock, Brock, etc might be another story.

How many guys on the roster can have "loser" gimmicks before it makes the entire roster look like shit? Even Punk is being labeled as "not as good as Cena". Two thirds of the roster are glorified jobbers already, why point our that other guys aren't much better?

I don't know what you mean. Wait...

Punk: "Big Show, you're a loser."

Cena: "I concur. Show, you're a loser."

Dolph: "Jericho, you're a loser."

AJ: "Eve, you're a loser."

Show/Eve: "Punk, you're the WWE Champ but John Cena is the star of the show. You're a loser."

Air Truth: "Prime Time Players, AW, you're losers."

Layla: "Beth, you're a loser."

Everyone: "Jack Swagger, you're a loser."

Miz: "I'm back, I'm a movie star, I'm The Miz, and I'm still a loser."

Hmmm. I see what you mean.

This is SUCH a good point.
Obviously Miz can just come back and put himself into a big PPV match, so.....

Hey wait a minute. Yeah, what the hell. They couldn't maintain their own gimmick for one measly week? Should we just assume it was Regal and he handled everything from an office without cameras?

With Big Show going after Punk,
Has there been any talk at all about the possibility that Show and not Cena was supposed to win last night?
The handle breaking and Cena's legit look of surprise made it look like it wasn't supposed to happen that way and they just ran with it.

I think it broke maybe 10 seconds before Cena was really supposed to take it off. Which actually made it better.

Slater 3:16 has so many potential lines for Heath to utter unaware of what they portend. I think the whole run should just end with him saying What? leading to the glass break.

Ten years after Stone Cold took his ball and went home, would Stone Cold take his ball and go home again with Brock Lesnar getting a prime Summerslam match building angle with DX at RAW 1000 while all that seems to be in the books for - to be clear, The Biggest RAW Star Ever - is giving Heath Slater a Stunner and a beer bath - DTA you stupid ginger son of a bitch!

Matt Hardy's music will play, but nobody will come out. Then, everyone will laugh (except Lawler and Cole, who will be directed to quietly chuckle in their headsets).

Backlund was the NWA Missouri champ (which at the time was a fairly important title) in 1976 so scratch him from the list.
