CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan, WWE Championship Match, AJ as special guest referee: I think Bryan wins it here. But I sure wouldn't be surprised to see Punk retain. So hard to guess because you're trying to predict the unpredictable as far as what AJ will do.

Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio, World Heavyweight Championship Match: Sheamus wins.

WWE Championship Money in the Bank Match, featuring John Cena, Kane, The Big Show, Chris Jericho: Cena wins. As not-exciting as that may seem, I don't know that I'd get excited about any of the others winning either (except maybe Jericho).

World Championship Money in the Bank Match, featuring Damien Sandow, Tyson Kidd, Cody Rhodes, Christian, Dolph Ziggler, Tensai, Sin Cara, Santino Marella: I could see Rhodes, Ziggler or Christian winning. As much as all three deserve it, a Rhodes win would seem the most fresh, especially seeing as the other MITB is going to be a former champion winning. I don't know that they'd want to do two former champions winning on the same show, so Rhodes it is.

Bryan
Seamus
Jericho
Rhodes

The only one I waiver on is Jericho - although I could see show costing Cena the victory and letting Jericho get a sneaky win setting up Cena and Show for the next PPV.

Life is hilariously cruel.

- Punk wins after AJ-Ference. Cena cashes in on him.
- Sheamus retains against Del Rio.
- Cena wins the Raw MitB.
- Dolph wins the SD MitB (might turn face in the process), although I can see Christian winning it as well.
- Four matches is a little light, so I'm assuming we will get a Ryback squash (and possibly a Brodus squash as well), and a Divas title match, where Layla will retain.

Sure, I'll play along. Why not?

CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan, WWE Championship Match, AJ as special guest referee: Judging by the reaction over the last couple of weeks, The E has done the impossible and actually managed to fuck up a can't-miss CM Punk/Daniel Bryan feud. Bravo. AJ waffles for most of the match and Punk wins, giving Bryan a case for another rematch down the road.

Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio, World Heavyweight Championship Match: Sheamus wins, but...

WWE Championship Money in the Bank Match, featuring John Cena, Kane, The Big Show, Chris Jericho: Remember when MitB matches were about making new stars and not just another way for Superman Cena to overcome the odds for the millionth time? Cena wins and cashes in his briefcase for Cena/Punk III: The Final Battle at Summerslam.

World Championship Money in the Bank Match, featuring Damien Sandow, Tyson Kidd, Cody Rhodes, Christian, Dolph Ziggler, Tensai, Sin Cara, Santino Marella: Dolph wins and cashes in on Sheamus later in the night to win the title.

If Show wins the "WWE Championship MitB Match", as it is officially called now, technically he can't cash his briefcase in for a "World Championship" match, I would think.

My picks:

Punk (lame)
Cena (lame)
Sheamus (lame)
Ziggler (not lame)

Uh, no they haven't.

This is actually one of the hardest cards to predict in a long, long time.

Punk Vs. Bryan: This one is weird, because the announcement of Rock coming back to talk to the champion on Raw 1000 or whatever they're calling it kind of throws a spanner in the works. When you combine Rock's return - ahead of the rumoured schedule - and the stories of the 'E having the four top SS matches mapped out but wanting them kept super-secret, I'm leaning towards them doing Cena/Rock II in August. Whether it's for the title is the question, though. I think Bryan wins here, and ends up losing the belt on Raw 1000 to...

WWE Title MITB: ...John Cena, who wins handily here and declares his cash-in ahead of time the following night. The other option here is a Show win and a Punk win setting them up for SS, with Cena/Rock going ahead as non-title, but given the chatter about them wanting Cena back in the title scene to keep the belt important I don't think they'll go for that.

Sheamus Vs. Alberto Del Rio: I guess I'm going to be the only one to pick Del Rio here. They've been itching to do this match for so long, and ADR winning the title and putting Sheamus back into fiery chasing babyface mode is win-win.

World Heavyweight Title MITB: After Bryan's surprise win last year I feel like all bets are off. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if Tyson Kidd won it, but I want Dolph to win it so I'll pick him.

This is an unpredictable card, something that I don't think has been conveyed very well on WWE television. I could honestly change my mind several times on some of these picks, but I'm just going to go with my gut instinct/overactive imagination at this time...

Pre show- Kofi and Truth vs Hunico and Camacho: Okay, this IS predictable. Kofi and Truth. No way Hunico and Camacho get anywhere near the titles, worthless as they are currently.

World Championship Money in the Bank Match: This goes on first. Ziggler gets very close, but Tensai cuts him off to win. Tensai is your winner, this can set in motion the Dolph face turn and split from Vickie.

Sheamus vs ADR: Sheamus retains. I'm split on whether he will fall victim to a Tensai cash-in. I'll just leave it at Sheamus retains and goes on to face Tensai at Summerslam.

WWE Championship Money in the Bank Match: Big Show wins.

CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan: AJ helps Daniel win. BUT! Big Show cashes in the briefcase on Bryan, finally getting his revenge from TLC 2011.

EDIT: In no way do I want these predictions to come true, but it's what I can see WWE doing.

Punk retains. The Rock talks to him on the 1000th episode, which I'm sure Punk has wanted to do for a long time. He had plenty of things to say about Dwayne during the first pipe bomb speech, after all.

Sheamus retains against Del Rio. Yawn.

WWE Title MiTB match: Whoever heard of a four-person MiTB match, anyway? This better be off-the-charts good. At least we can count on Cena and Jericho to bring the goods. I'll say Kane wins here; the visual of Hellfire and Brimstone coming to whip the champion's ass in a moment of weakness is too good a visual to pass up. (But see the paragraphs after the predictions for an opinion).

World Title MiTB match: Difficult to pick a winner here. I'd love to see Tyson Kidd win it, but that ain't gonna happen. Rhodes, Ziggler, Sandow and Christian are probably the only contenders here. I'll go with Rhodes.

----

I think the Money in the Bank concept has run its course and then some, to the point where TNA's making WWE look bad as far as the prestige of the title.

Hear me out: Austin Aries had to vacate the X Division Title to get a shot at the World Title, and every year at Destination X, future X Division Champions get that opportunity. This has the result of making both the World Title and the X Division Title seem even more important.

Meanwhile, twice a year, someone wins a world title in WWE by waiting until the champion has gotten the crap beaten of him, cashing in the briefcase, and picking apart the bones.

But they get the chance to do that by winning one of the most (kayfabe) grueling and difficult-to-win matches in the company.

Yeah, but the MITB concept has been around since WrestleMania 21, and in all that time, only one person has actually cashed it in for what can reasonably be called a "legitimate match".

Getting the briefcase in the first place is the hard part, of course, but after that it's simply a matter of timing. And they even subvert that by allowing someone to change their mind if they realize the champ isn't weak enough.

Punk vs. Bryan. I am going with Bryan over Punk. I think they will have a final battle at SummerSlam with AJ being held over the ring in a cage.

MITB WWE Title. Lame, Lame, Lame. 4 guys Lame. I am going with Cena since well its actually the one of the few unlamer choices, Jericho is who should win this thing.

MITB Heavyweight. This could be epic. Minus Tensai, I really don't care who wins this thing since it would be a good career move for any of them. I do think Sandow is too green for this though. I'll go with Dolph.

Sheamus vs. ADR. ADR. We get another ADR title run for a month til Sheamus wins it and loses it at SummerSlam.

Tag Team. Air Truth.

We will get a Brock or HHH sighting as well as more plugging for Rock coming back.

R-TRUTH/KOFI v HUNICO/CAMACHO
I wouldn't hate for this tag division to continue its slow climb back to relevance.
Winner: R-Truth/Kofi Kingston

SHEAMUS v ALBERTO DEL RIO
Del Rio again can't connect with the fans.
Winner: Sheamus

CM PUNK v DANIEL BRYAN
Okay, I admit it... Kept anticipating the AJ swerve back to Bryan's side. Now? No clue. The bigger picture is what I suppose we are all predicting towards, and that includes things like the SummerSlam rumors, Cena's pointing back to the title picture, and Rock coming back. Of all those, I don't think they'd (WWE) give us a retread of Cena/Rock at Raw 1000. They would, however, give us...
Winner: CM Punk

WWE MONEY IN THE BANK: CENA v KANE v BIG SHOW v CHRIS JERICHO
Missed opportunity to not add Mysterio back in here, to make this more than a ground game.
Winner: John Cena

WORLD MONEY IN THE BANK: TENSAI v TYSON KIDD v CHRISTIAN v DOLPH ZIGGLER v SIN CARA v CODY RHODES v DAMIEN SANDOW v SANTINO
Agree that this match goes up first, and looking at my predictions this is a face-heavy show. Can't continue that here...
Winner: Cody Rhodes

BONUS MATCHES!
CODY RHODES challenges SHEAMUS for the World Title
Winner: Cody Rhodes

RYBACK v Clark Wayne and Bruce Kent
Winner: Ryback

If Bryan beats Punk, he becomes WWE CHamp, meaning Show can cash in. Not an exact mirror, but the irony is still present.

I agree, athough I think you could see Sandow be introduced, say he refuses to compete in such a barbaric spectacle, then run out at the end when everyone is down and try to steal the case.

I'm rooting hard for Ziggler but wondering if Wade Barrett might take someone's spot and win. It doesn't seem that pleasant for him to do a ladder match in his first match back from injury though, which is why I'm okay with Rey never being added to the Raw match even if that seems like it's going to be a challenge.

Is Sandow really that green, though? Guy's been wrestling for ten years. We may not have seen enough of him yet to judge his in-ring skills, but given the reports of him being the most complete performer they had in FCW I think he could perform okay in this environment.
