Same road, opposite direction? At first I thought it might have been from all of the construction down there, but something tells me you could have swam to the other end of that road.

Same road, flash flood Thursday.

It had greatly receded by the time I was around, but this road is notoriously slow to drain during flash floods - tow trucks tend to hang out in that lot on the right to "rescue" cars dumb enough to try to traverse it when it's in full flood stage.

How much does it cost to get "rescued" usually?

Depends on whether or not you have AAA membership and/or have totalled the car in the process.

i noticed that Neil Gaiman tweeted about the storm yesterday, including mentioning tornaods. Don't know if that was the whole region or just the part of MN/WI where he is.

Hope it wasn't too bad there

Amongst the things I forgot to mention in today's video - I dumped 3" out of the rain gauge (which was partially blocked by a fern leaf, so who knows how much REALLY fell) - also, I forgot to check the basement - I will try to remember to do that when I get home tonight but any water which might have been there will have probably receded (he hoped - actually, he hoped for no water at all but he was a realist)

I certainly hope it is scrambled eggs, as it would then become the best POTD (or BOTD-Banner of the Day)in...days and days. I loves me some scrambled eggs.

Dover - one of my favorite races in NASCAR.

I'd be fun to mix Monster Miles with the Green Monster in Boston.

Is that an incredibly strange banner picture today, or do I just really need new glasses? Moo?

It's a little grainy, but I wasn't going to wait for the NEXT report about cows playing beer pong (wickedlocal.com)!

I can't decide between

a)Wow, what happened to Harry Potter?

or

b)Ashton Kutcher is really getting into his role as Steve Jobs.

Happy Birthday, Zed!

They're not posting yet, so that's good. I'd try disabling them, but I bet CRZ does something in SQL to delete them all anyway.

They started posting.
So is this an actual individual action, or did someone figure out how to get their bots to attack us?

That's ok, I fixed it myself. does the <a href= tag allow me to make my own words up for the link? If it just uses the URl, then that won't work too good, because the one in particular I was using was 3 or 4 lines long.
