I'm not a comic book guy, and I've only really seen the Batmans and the two Iron Mans. The second Iron Man was so bad I had pretty much sworn off all future Marvel movies.
I'm glad I came back for this one. This movie was great. I thought Robert Downey was going to suck the movie awayfrom everyone else, but he pretty much held the whole thing together.
I never heard of Loki, but I liked him. Who was the guy on the other planet that he was dealing with? Also what studio owns Doctor Doom and who does he feud with?

Doom is a Fantastic Four guy and that movie is being remade, so I wouldn't expect to see him taking on the Avengers any time soon.
Loki's boss was Thanos. A cosmic baddy who is in love with Death. LITERALLY.
The whole Infinity Gauntlet was adapted into a rap album by a friend of mine which includes a pretty awesome rap battle done as a wrestling match. You can listen to it for free here: http://adamwarrock.bandcamp.com/album/the-war-for-infinity
I don't generally see the same movie in the theater twice, and this is one that I've considered seeing again -- I really enjoyed it. I can see it breaking records based off of that.
I mean if me, someone who barely sees movies, is thinking about a second screeing, I'm sure the people that do that sort of thing all the time are doing it.
I've never really understood that train of thought, but I had friends who saw Independence Day 4 or 5 times in the theater, and the Michael Keaton Batman movie like 10 times. I figure those guys are clocking return trips to the Avengers.
ID4, I saw about 4 times mainly due to the fact, it ran all summer. It was the "I am bored, lets do something..ID4 is still in theaters, lets go." I saw it opening day on July 3rd and the last time, I saw it was my second day of college in September. I was never bored once.
I'd love to see Avengers again, but baby is going to make that difficult and the wife seems a little ticked I went without her. Hopefully, I can take her out on the Friday, we don't have the kid to see it.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.
The only times I have ever seen a movie multiple times in theater were based on different groups of friends wanting to see the movie. It has happened with Potter films. In college, I did that as well, mostly because they were cheap.
I would probably go with other people to see The Avengers again, mostly to revel more in the dialogue since I know what course they take. But more the most part, I almost never see movies a second time, in the movies or even on DVD/Blu-Ray.

Also, Avatar's a film that doesn't really hold up well. The characters are one-dimensional, and the plot's a rip-off of Last of the Mohicans and just about any "white savior to the uncivilized people" movie. And it's not funny. There's not much there past the fantastic special effects and half-naked blue people.
I loved The Avengers; I found it every bit as funny as it was action-packed. My favorite funny moment has to be the silent handover of the ten bucks by Cap. Heh.

One thing someone brought up is that Cameron released Titanic in December and it had no competition through January and February and then Valentine's Day gave it a resurge. That makes sense.
I was in Manhattan on Monday and it was fun seeing the buildings and imagining the scenes from the movie playing out. Of course we rode past a restaurant advertising schwarma. (sp?) What an odd, random food choice - yet better than the blatant Burger King plug in Iron Man.

Heh.
Stark: I just want two things. I want an American cheeseburger....... and the second...
Potts: That's enough of that, right now.
Stark: ...is not what you think.

Was She-Hulk an Avenger? I know she was in Fantastic Four for a while.
I think there's potential for her, as she actually talks and acts like a person, just green and big. Plus, there's all the girl type humor of scaring off her dates and breaking a nail or "Darn, I just bought those shoes" if they want to go that route.

She-Hulk has been in Fantastic Four, The Avengers AND The Defenders (of course so has Bruce come to think of it)
She was an avengers during onw of the book's better runs by roger stern in the mid 80s. She joined in the 220s (along with hawkeye) and stayed around for a few years.
This is absolutely one of my favorite shows, and easily my favorite episode of season 6. The season 5 finale, Swan Song, was just so well done that it's been hard to get into season 6.
