So we should expect the number TNA wrestler sex tapes to suddenly skyrocket? You'd think HULK HOGAN, of all people, would be able to see this connection!
"This is DIET Double Dew, Kyle! It only has half the caffeine and sugar of Double Dew!"
This man is the definition of insanity. He can't help go straight to reality TV when he is in trouble. Just idiotic and I am glad that some TNA wrestlers want it to be scrapped.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.
It's goofy, and it adds nothing to the product. TNA's strength is in video production. Their promo videos are excellent. It may be cheaper to replace them with fan-submitted material, but it will only make the show look like an indy fed further down the ladder. They need to do stuff like that, not TNA.

If this is the big concept he was touting, then I hope he stays true to his word (according to the interview in the NY Post) that if it doesn't word, he's "hightailing it out of there".
Because, let's face it, this is a pretty terrible idea.
Let's all cross our fingers that it doesn't work... and that he takes Bischoff with him.
In it's simplest form, Hogan's notion is to make TNA stars a far more public commodity by making them viral and having their faces show up in more places via more cameras.
As it stands, it's not that simple.
If they controlled the environment where fan submitted footage could be shot, like at a convention, or pre or post-show meet and greets, it's a charming way to connect your (let's face it) lesser known than the WWE stars with fans and perhaps even mainstream media if a particular peice is epic enough.
By the way, why in the blue hell do we think this'll just lead to more sex tapes? Seriously, the first thought was ring rats with iPhones? Kudos to the notion of naked Velvet Sky, but that just seems outlandish, and more exception to the rule.
Let's think mundane for a minute.
Running into Samoa Joe at Denny's and shoving a camera in his face while he eats pancakes just makes Joe look like a fatty. Matt Morgan hauling ass to a gas station men's room because it's an emergency. Jeff Hardy counting change at said gas station to buy a pack of mints. AJ Styles picking out dress shoes for his kids for a funeral. Christopher Daniels shaving his head.
Sounds THRILLING.
"Laugh and the world laughs with you. Frown and the world laughs at you." -Me.
I assumed it would be partly real but mostly worked videos. "Tonight we have footage of that dastardly Bully Ray slashing the tires of RVD" or something stupid (but not above regular wrestling angles and footage) like that.
It does feel like they figured that since WWE is all over youtube now, they need to take it to the extreme and actually become youtube
I dont understand how this is SUPPOSED to work. So if everyone starts recording video of TNA wrestlers out on the street and floods YouTube with their videos (even though according to the article, Hulk wants people to send their videos directly to TNA so they can add them to their own show?), then what? So the average Joe comes across a bunch of "on the street" cell phone videos on YouTube of wrestlers he's never heard of and that somehow makes him want to find the show they appear on (that he's also never heard of, or maybe has heard of but hasnt cared enough about to tune in yet) and start watching?
I think he's trying to create a paparazzi type situation. People see the wrestlers, then crowd around them taking pictures and videos like they're Melina walking down to the ring. People in the area see that, and then think that "these must be big stars!"
Of course, the irony that one of the top people in TNA came up with this crazy idea while TNA seemingly goes out of their way to drill into people's heads that their wrestlers are not even close to stars (I'm such a big star, I just saved $20 on my car insurance!!) is nuts.
The idea is hilarious. I love it, so long as it means that the wrestlers stay in character 24-7. I just hope that they receive a boost in salary to reflect their additional job duties.
I don't know for sure what they'll do with the Title situation, but I suspect (and really, really hope) that they'll just move Cena back to Smackdown! They could strip him of the title to keep the WWE Title on Smackdown!
