To commemorate Tina "Ferrari, WWE's Ivory" Moretti's induction into the Cauliflower Alley Club Hall of Fame, a positive and nostalgic look back at GLOW by local TV news. With quotes from Kharma and Billy Corgan, to boot.

I do miss GLOW.

I remember when my parents and I moved in with this other family when I was about 4 years old. Their son was into wrestling huge and he got me into watching AWA, WWF, and GLOW. I remember seeing the women in GLOW and thinking they were the weirdest girls I'd had seen. I started chasing girls at school shortly after.

Ivory still looks great here, I do miss her on my tv. Also what the shit Billy Corgan runs an indie wrestling show? Why does that not compute to me?

Dude, it came insanely far. From having more than 2-3 women in the "division" to having cage matches, etc. It's just kinda gone a bit backwards.

During the heydays of Trish/Molly/Victoria etc I sometimes enjoyed the women's matches more than anything else on the card. Also true for TNA.

I gotta admit it was weird to get Billy Corgan to talk on this piece. Then when he says wrestling is on the "front edge" of racism, I totally get it. Billy is a born carny.

GLOW ruled. I want to see that documentary they have on GLOW.

Heh.. wrestling may be among the first to deal with misogyny, racism, etc. Maybe not always the 'good' side of the issues, like with the ongoing "WWE storylines vs Be-a-Star" feud. To be fair, I'll mention that Mohammed Hassan was meant to be a positive role model at first. Not sure they gave the idea a full shot. Today, neither Del Rio or Jinder Mahal really play off stereotypical ethnic types for their heel personas.

The Irish still seem to be fair game.

Back to GLOW, I guess I get the "Hee Haw" comparison now that they mention it, but only because the jokes were so corny you couldn't call it "Laugh-In". If we ever get to see "Legends' House", I for one will be comparing it to "Life in the GLOW House".

Always nice to see when someone make it out the other side of the business in good shape, congrats to Tina on the honor.

Along with this some shady promoter put on a "GLOW reunion" that had a few alums and some new talent given GLOW-like names. Of course things ended up bad.

Also, for the old GLOW fans, the Women of Wrestling Podcast just did an interview with Little Egypt (Angelina Altishin) who has put together a documentary about GLOW. http://ringbellesonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/episode38.mp3

And yes, Billy Corgan does run an indie promotion out of Chicago. http://resistancepro.com/ Harry Smith is their current champ.

that whole thing was so bogus. 3 of my friends were on the new GLOW show and I was told the experience was a "nightmare". I feel so bad for all of the women who worked it and got burned. it could have been fun but turned into a giant bummer.

The bit with Jen dating a man who looks like a magician is possibly my favorite thing ever on tv. I think that's the same episode that Moss and Roy become "proper men". If so, I agree. Also the episode with "Gay:
