So, I know I've talked about my dvd company here before, but did you know I also produced a movie?

It's called QWERTY. It's a romantic drama/comedy. It was made for about 50k. There's a trailer here:

http://vimeo.com/37338086

There's a facebook here:

http://www.facebook.com/QWERTYthemovie

This month we're playing in Kansas City, Nashville and Dallas. Next month we're playing in Hawaii. More dates to follow.

Thanks for your support.

Hey theremin

Did you know I run a film festival for "Great Short Films by the World's Best Young Filmmakers" called the YoungCuts Film Festival? www.YoungCuts.com

I am assuming that QWERTY is too long for us, but maybe you have some good short films to show us? Or there is a chapter of QWERTY that would act as a stand-alone story?

Hey Mike,

Maybe I got the wrong idea, but I'm WAY too old to participate in your film festival. Maybe my oldest, who is in college, might be able to send something your way.

It's for filmmakers 29 or under. (We have a teen section, a 20-25 section and a "MasterClass" 26-29 section.)

I actually checked your profile, but your birthday's empty so I had no idea of your age. I took a shot. (And yes do tell your oldest to send us their film.)

Based on your trailer, you might want to consider Fantasia and other nerd-friendly film festivals (FantasticFest, etc.):

Do you have a critic version available online? Because I do write for Sound On Sight, when you are ready for reviews.

I assume that you are taking advantage of Scrabble competitions to promote the movie?

Wow, I hadn't thought at all about Fantasia, since we aren't a genre film. I guess I'll write Mitch today and see what he thinks.

I believe there's a new private vimeo link for reviewers coming shortly. I'll get one to you, if you give me your E-mail address. (You didn't link me to whatever you wanted the 2nd link to be).

Call me prejudiced, but I really shudder to think what a producer in their 20's would do with 50k to make a movie.

Mike,

Thanks for the suggestion. It just so happens Mitch posted this weekend about what a bear it is to watch a bunch of shitty movies for the festival. It was a great segue for reminding him about my movie. I even quoted your "nerd-friendly" line. He's gonna have a look.

Some tweets from people who went to the premiere tonight:

@LWatkins84 - Thought QWERTY was adorable. It sure did make me miss Chicago, though. #kcfilmfest

@BeccaRoman - #QWERTY was really thought-out and had great editing. Director #BillSebatian was great to answer questions afterwards. #kcfilmfest

@JohninKC - Just saw QWERTY @kcfilmfest Its a quirky little charmer with some perverse undertones. I enjoyed it. More on it tonight at the usual spot.

@BeccaRoman - I just saw #QWERTY and it was AMAZING. There's another showing of it Saturday at Ward Parkway. Def. check it out! #kcfilmfest

A very basic question – how could Meera and Bran survive on their own pursued by a horde of wights – is answered pretty quickly and definitively. They can’t, not without the help of BENJEN motherfucking STARK!
