Poor Del Rio. First he runs into the Summer of Punk and then he gets run over by the Danial Bryan groundswell.

I love this, but on the flip side he already has one of best entrances in wrestling. "SOMEONE'S GONNA GET THEIR ASS KICKED", with a camera shot from behind with him literally taking up the entire screen with "ALL WILL SUFFER" in huge letters. Just screams "you gonna die now".

I seriously think the crowd fed him tonight, and he amped up EVERYTHING to the point where he became even more awesome than he has been.

Best thing? If AW becomes his manager, eventually the face turn will be Henry destroying AW.

I've been noticing way less Cena gear being worn by people on TV recently than say a few years ago where kids were decked out in orange and blue "Never Give Up" attire.

What was weird was after Cena finally becomes full-fledged-post-Attitude Era Thuganomics Cena and was becoming interesting again, we got whiny, pandering, defeated Cena we saw after last year's Survivor Series. The spineless Fruity Pebbles Cena that thinks everything is great despite losing one of the most important matches of his career. The one that the fans knew he couldn't lose. All the fire he showed last week about how important winning against Rock was, and tonight he's all crestfallen "C'mon Florida, I just want to see my buddy". Fuck Me Creative.

The crowd is begging for Cena to turn heel, so actually doing it undoubtedly would get him cheered. "You want me to turn heel & rip you a new asshole?" "YEAH!" "LOL, no." "BOO!" This is the best way to do it if you actually want him to get booed. The heel-turn-without-the-heel-turn, and as a bonus, he still can play face to his fans. Pretty brilliant, actually (although I'm not so sure that's what the WWE is actually going for, but it works). Look at you, you're all worked up about it. It worked!

Brock may need to hit the gym. He rocked the Tommy Dreamer/ latter day Tank Abbott requisite black shirt. At least he'll never have to see Overeem again.

I sit through hours of crappy skits, terrible wrestling, head-scratching booking decisions, and talentless lunks on a weekly basis. But segments like Brock's big return are why I remain a wrestling fan. Giant gold nuggets like this one are why I trudge through the many, many lumps of coal (and Cole).

Even if Rock's only on a part-time schedule these days, I'd be a happy man if I get to see him work against some of the other high-tier guys at some point. A Rock/Dolph match would be a joy to watch. The journey to Rock's inevitable title match is going to be a fun one to follow.

Wow, the second ADR's music hit, this crowd knew what was about to be fed to them and they just REVOLTED against it! That's as emphatic a rejection as I've ever seen!

Things I liked about Lord Tensai's debut: They didn't insult our intelligence, as Cole noted that it was, in fact, a former WWE guy (even if Albert's name wasn't dropped) making his return rather than trying to pass him off as a whole new person entirely. Albert's offense, as the corner headbutts, high-impact suplexes, and mist-enhanced Iron Claw (only in professional wrestling!) all worked for me.

Things I hated about Lord Tensai's debut: Alex Riley's continued burial. Albert's nipple rings. Yeesh!

That was NOT a favorable camera angle for Jericho's bottle shot. But the feud continuing makes me happy.

When I heard that The E was going to start bringing up new talent after Wrestlemania, I don't think Abraham Washington was what ANYONE had in mind. Can he go back to obscurity where he belongs?

Also, I can't believe no one's brought this up yet, but...holy crap, Brodus Clay has a FEUD! A REAL ONE! SOMEBODY CALL MY MOMMA!

The dark match was amazing.
Sheamus/Orton/Big Show vs Kane/Cody Rhodes/Daniel Bryan.

From the get go, there were Yes! Chants and they went with it. Bryan and Sheamus definitely changed a few spots to milk the crowd. Big Show got in with the fun as well.
The moment Bryan tagged out, the crowd chanted his name (resulting in his partners tagging him straight back in)

When it was time for the faces to dominate, the crowd chanted No! (when it was Bryan being hit)

This whole night went beyond people doing a silly catch phrases. I felt it was definitely a Fuck You to WWE for the way they treated the Bryan and the whole HWC match in general.

I didn't notice Brock being out of shape. We were all too excited with going crazy for him.

A great Raw. It did wash away the negative thoughts I had during/after WM.

Cena: "Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!...Daniel Bryan, you owe me one." I LOVED that.

I would have loved to know what Cena was thinking with the crowd chanting "We want Lesnar" KNOWING Brock was coming out but that he had to no-sell and finding his promo of temporary closure on the Rock.

One minor thing about Cena/Brock: I found myself wishing that Cena had put a little more effort into trying to get out of the F5. I mean...there are times that just hanging out on a dude's shoulders makes sense (like at the end of a grueling match or if you just took a shot in the head and could be disoriented) but Cena was just hanging out talking the whole time. He *should* have been all "aw fuck, I'mma get out of this F5" instead of "oh Brock your big broad shoulders are so comfy."

Holy fuck shit motherfucker shit. Read comics. Fuck shit shit fuck shit I sold out when I did my job. Fuck fuck fuck shit fuck. Sorry had to do it....

I felt the exact same thing. Would've been ok of Brock hit it with the quickness but even with shock and feeling sore after a gruelling match Ghent night before it seemed unreal.

Yeah, the Miami crowd is crazy for Daniel Bryan. We went to the Hall of Fame early and they were chanting "YES!" before it all started and kept chanting throughout the Hall of Fame. When Alberto Del Rio was talking, they changed it up to "Si!"

I think Brock is a great way to continue Cena's arc and get some more mileage before the now inevitable turn. If Cena's problem with the Rock was that he was a part-timer who bailed for greener pastures, then that all goes double for Brock. So we get another feud with another returning superstar, and I'll bet that Cena comes out on the losing end yet again. He really sold the idea in his promo last night that, regardless of what he said in the build to WrestleMania, one loss is not going to break him. Let's see how he does with two.

LOVED the show - it's the first Raw, in a long time, that I sat through and watched until the very end (I usually go to bed half way through and watch the rest the next day) and actually wanted more.

Everything about it was awesome - it felt so much like an old Raw is War show with that crowd, even if they were TNA Impact Zone level annoying with the chants.

Mark Henry vs. Punk was awesome... and Jericho vs. Punk is just incredible. I was biting my nails the whole time during that promo. So golden.

I don't get all the criticism about how Vince is "burying someone just because people like him" - I mean, hello, the top star at the moment is CM PUNK. In no way could ANYONE get the impression that they're just going to stop doing anything with Daniel Bryan. It's been ONE day, give it time. I didn't pay attention much in the build up with Stone Cold but would people have said the same thing about him if he lost one match?

Also, I think that having one GM is going to be so much better. I was never a fan of the brand split and, given what we saw last night, it seems like they're moving more and more toward ending it and going back to having one roster.

I want this crowd when we beat back the 2012 Alien Invasion in December. God Damn, that was nuts. I was a little shocked with Rock saying he was going to be champion. To me that is the story that got buried last night right next to Ryder. If he comes back between Summerslam and Mania that is huge for this company. Add in Brock during a stretch of that and man, do you have some PPV gates opening up. Foley even commented on twitter that Rock's promo was the green light for WWE to make their own currency.

Sheamus. Poor Sheamus. I love the guy and all, but he was put in a giant lose/lose situation on Sunday and it seems to be continuing. If they think ADR/Sheamus is going to happen at Extreme Rules without a full scale verbal riot, they are out of their minds.

Punk/Henry was starting to shape up to be a classic til the bullshit end which lead to a much creepier turn for Jericho/Punk. I have stated before, I am not a fan of this at all. It seems like going into the toilet instead of having a feud about wrestling. Still, I am curious about the rematch if for nothing else to see them get to play with toys like Taker and Hunter did. Taker/HHH got really no big thing last night which was a bit of a surprise. A small recap with the other Mania matches. I guess, the show was just too packed which is surprising since it was the MOTN. Weird.

I don't know how someone who lost in 18 seconds could become a star, but he has. Daniel Bryan welcome to the Superstar room, have a brandy and smile. As for Brock. Dude needs to hit a gym and soon. It was more like here comes the doughnuts then here comes the pain. Cena had better turn heel or all this has been for nothing. This show was so packed, I could go on, but man nothing I will say will beat how awesome that crowd made last night. Good for you, Miami, you deserve LeBron not to choke in the Finals.

Didn't see all of Raw due to only flipping over here and there during commercials for the UK-KU game (CATS WIN!!), but did see the high points.

While the build to Mania was great with Rock, HHH, taker, and HBK, I was wondering what things would be like without those guys. Yes, I still have Jericho and Punk to care about, but that wasn't going to be enough to really maintain the excitement. You know what will? Brock. Freaking. Lesnar.

I only hope we see him wrestle before Mania 29.

So, the audience is going to punish the rest of the roster from now until forever by turning "YES!" into the new "What?"? Because let's be honest, it's probably going to stick.

Here's my honest question: How do you make a heel nowadays?

If you sell like a crash test dummy and/or beloved performer of a former time, the people love you for that.

If you're smug and make inside-jokes and references to the tropes and characters of the same era in which fans say they want to get away from, they cheer you.

Tell your girlfriend to shut up as you expound on the popularity of a random word and the people cheer you. (And no, I don't think it's like Savage-Elizabeth, for anyone wanting to make that reference, because that character-dynamic was on a different level entirely. I don't see Bryan as the same kind of popular jock/seems-physically abusive-type.)

Be a good guy who everyone on the roster says goes above and beyond for the company, the charities, and even the rest of the roster? And the people hate your guts until you tell them off...at which point they will cheer you for telling them off.

Look, I've been a wrestling fan my whole life...but I still can't wrap my head around it. Is it a question of the audience? Is it the wrestlers? Is it all of it? Do we just want a full roster of tweeners and quasi-characters? No one stands out that way, in my opinion, which is a complaint we've all heard. You know, sometimes I'll watch like one of the early Survivor Series or Rumbles and from tag teams to the mid-card, you had wrestlers that were pretty-well defined. This was even the case during the early Attitude Era.

Probably if it would have been acceptable/prudent to call an audible and acknowledge it, maybe? I think that sort of thing is pretty rude, actually, and tantamount to yelling out the end of a new movie on opening weekend. And it's not like this is the first time, either. News really hadn't hit the mainstream when Brock was leaving originally, but that didn't stop people from killing the tone for the match with Goldberg (but considering the circumstances, maybe was appropriate).

I mean, someone tell me. We complain because we miss the surprises and the "anything can happen"-atmosphere, but then ruin it at the show? Are the fans in attendance chanting the same fans on the boards now? Is it mostly an internet-savvy audience? Or is it because of Twitter and other social media? Well, if it's the latter, how do you write a live show when someone just tweets a picture of Brock Lesnar at a random Miami Starbucks on Monday morning?

This is all serious business.

[holds up hand for high five] DUDE! The 24-hour bubble allows my Mania prediction to be counted right? RIGHT?!

I remember the Dallas crowd for the mega tag match. I remember Atlanta when ECW and WCW joined forces. But this -- THIS -- was incredible. Wrestling fans got a helluva weekend with the ROH double-header, Mania, and a RAW with an insane crowd and some pretty damn good stories: Jericho Jake the Snaked Punk. Lord Tensai debuts. Clay gets an angle. Henry gets a mouthpiece. Rock promises to win the title. BROCK IS BACK (and may have been plucked from 2002; UFC Brock looked 20 years older).

Daniel Bryan is Randy Savage right now. He can do no wrong even when he's up to no good. The gimmick is bigger than him. Bigger than the story. If this can continue beyond Florida, you gotta get him a belt. Put him over Santino. Make the Sheamus/ADR match a triple threat.

I am genuinely excited about watching SmackDown this week. Teddy's out as GM, the two belts have new angles, and Daniel Bryan is sitting on the golden egg.

And as Brock once said: That's just fine and dandy.

[hand still in the air] Dude? Nothing?

It was an interesting segment. Both parties came across as very unlikeable, and I think that was the point. Dixie seemed very heelish, but Emo AJ did need a smackdown. I hope they don't go full on heel with her.
