Mark Henry was back in beast mode. He lost and ate a Rock Bottom, but that kind of thing won't hurt him if they keep letting him be the monster that he is.
So that was A-Train? I'm interested to see him. A few years ago, everyone was clamoring for him to tag with Tomko in TNA (they tagged in Japan).
I could see him being a breakout star if they don't get all pissy about him not working WWE Style. He'll be one of the only guys on the roster to have some seasoning outside the US.
Brodus streak ends at 1 Raw, but there's always Smackdown. Figure they add Ryder on SD or the website, add a fifth guy on that show, and then on the last Raw each GM plays their trump card: Ace brings back Alberto, Long counters with the guy he put out of action, Mysterio.
Nope. All Wrestlemania speculation is proved correct when the final members of Team Teddy are Shaquille O'Neal and Kharma.
The Big Bossman raised the briefcase.

I never really paid attention to Albert during his WWE run so I can't say if he's significantly better (or possibly worse) than before.
Just saw the video.
Some thoughts: 1) Fire Thunder (Rikishi) Driver! Almost as good as the MESHUGGENATOR.
2) He showed the least of the four guys in that video, and he looked best when working double-teams. You're right about Bad Intentions being a good WWE fit.
3) A running senton bomb! (Not by Albert 'cause that would be lethal). Who is THAT guy?

2) Yeah, sorry. That wasn't the best example of his work. That was one of the first videos I found. I was at that show. Came across better live I guess. But it's what you'll get out of him: some big moves, lots of bumping around.
3) Whoops. cubsfan answered that already. The guy in the t-shirt? Tetsuya Naito. No Limit (the Japanese tag team) were in TNA back in '09.

Excellent rebuttal by CM Punk in the opening promo. Finally Punk has a subject he can rant about and show passion 100% without coming across as a heel. And then Jericho bringing up Punk's sister was the icing on the cake. The feud is going nicely and I'm pretty sure Jericho is taking the title at Wrestlemania. And that's totally the right call at this point of the storyline to continue working.
Cody Rhodes handcuffing Big Show, putting on boxing gloves and pounding Show's face was one of the coolest things on Raw in a while. Simple but effective build. And it was Shane Douglas who got a little bit of hard camera time during the Kane/Show match. He was wearing a silver mask and a white shirt, then took off the shirt to reveal a Franchise tee. Then, just as he was taking off his mask, security and production realised this and you hardly saw him again.
I'm very much looking forward to seeing Lord Tensai/A-Train/Giant Bernard. Perhaps he gets the Funkasaurus treatment and is given a Japanese karaoke lounge singer gimmick. Or not. Anyway, does his return mean the "End of an Era" match is a misnomer now? This guy's from the same "era".
Sheamus vs Miz did absolutely nothing for either man, because the outcome of the match was never in doubt.
The looks Hunter and Shawn were giving each other at the end of the show were magnificent. Absolutely on point.
Now I must admit that I'm more excited for Wrestlemania XXVIII than any 'Mania since X-Seven. The card looks exceptional - only the Divas match has me cold. There are FIVE potential show stealers on the card - I think Orton will have his working boots on against Kane, and similar for Sheamus against Bryan if given time. The WWE Title, HIAC and main event are pretty much guaranteed to be good-great.
Seeing that video of Shane Douglas, along with his terrible cameraman, trying and failing miserably to get an ECW chant going... in Philly! Also, Shane's fat.
Raw was pretty good, except for the lovers quarrel between Undertaker, Michaels, and Helmsley. They should all have one of those three-way kisses you see on the Girls Gone Wild videos and just get it over with.
Bizarre, random thought that popped into my head this morning-
Zach Ryder would make a great gay babyface if they ever wanted to do that character. (Billy & Chuck were heels, right?)
Nice to see he recovered from a freakin' broken back so soon.
At this point I feel there is nothing left for Rock and Cena to say to one another that hasn't been covered to death. Same with HHH/Taker. It would be funny if Rock just spent the past year dissing Cena in front of various famous landmarks and statues all over the country.
If Rock is sticking around, and HBK has one more match in him, that's the dream match for a future PPV. Those two have never really had an on-camera interaction, let alone a big match before.

It looked like Johnny Grunge when I saw it live, but that made no sense. A fat Shane Douglas makes more sense, but I expect better from him than throwing up a shirt and going to get a coke.

He's nothing without Tojo Yamamoto.
THIS! Thank you, guys. I can't believe when I read the odessasteps post earlier and didn't catch this. For some reason, when I read PY Chu-Hi, I thought he meant PN News! I confused one WrestleCrapper with another.

Would have no issue with them giving Eric Embry the book.

Rico was a face for a while at least, I wasn't watching much wrestling back then, but I remember being fairly surprised that there was such a flamboyantly homosexual face in WWE. Wikipedia tells me "He is currently an Officer for the Nevada Taxi Cab Authority".
I am so happy with the fact that Eddie is being pushed not as Latino heat, but as rudo eddy.
I totally forgot the fact that eddy was out their up until the belt shot.
