The story has already changed from "Cena's SUV was hit by a tractor trailer" to "Cena's SUV was hit by a car which was hit by a tractor trailer."
Unfortunately, CBS Philly (philadelphia.cbslocal.com) hasn't received the update yet and is still reporting the earlier story, citing wwe.com as their source.
The only reason they're reporting it at ALL is it's their excuse for Cena missing a (highly anticipated?) "Talk Philly" appearance.
If only... if only John Cena had some mechanism to reach out and let his fans know what was going on!
EDIT: "Car," not "cat" - but "cat" would have been HILARIOUS
Well, of course Cena's going to claim to be 100%. He'd never be the one to throw a wrench into the dream match scenario by implying that he's anything less.
All the same, though, tonight's match with Mark Henry doesn't sound like a good idea.
Didn't realize Rikishi was taking a drive in Philadelphia today.
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." --- Bart Giamatti, on baseball

Edit:big bad beats me by a minute.

Heh, great minds think alike.

Nobody was hurt, so that leaves this situation wide open for bad jokes. Like this one!
If it had been Zack Ryder getting hit by that car, he'd be in a full body cast from head-to-toe. Luckily, it was John Cena, who will simply no-sell these injuries and make the next show like nothing happened.

We drive a lot slower here.
The wwe.com article has been updated with a Cena quote saying that while the car in the middle was totalled, there were no injuries.
Here's a link to the TMZ gallery (photos.tmz.com), which is noticably bereft of any photos with Cena in them. I wonder, can anybody identify this particular stretch of highway? Looks like lots of cars had an opportunity to drive by it...I'll bet none of them knew (or cared!) that they were passing right by John Cena!

Looks like the Schuylkill Expressway. If you've ever been on it you are actually happy when an accident is the cause of a traffic jam. 95% of the time there's an abandoned car on the side of the road or sun glare that causes the backup.
That's exactly where it is, I drove right on that part of 76 about an hour and 45 minutes before that happened. Cena was at WMMR this morning (and probably doing some other TV/radio) and would've been coming from that area just outside the city heading into the city towards the Wells Fargo Center.
King Diamond is dead on about "sun glare" too...ugh.
The funniest thing about the TMZ pictures is the completely unnecessary one of the tow truck door.

And people thought "You can't see me" was just a gimmick. Cena truly does have the power of invisibility.

I drive out of my way in Philly to avoid the Schuylkill.
I moved into the city so I didn't have to drive it daily. Then my parents up and moved south of DC so I get to deal with that portion of highway hell.
Cena was a solid interview on WMMR this morning, all the guys they've had on the morning show in the past (Miz, Sheamus, Punk and Cena) have represented themselves exceptionally well.
Now, if Cena had been injured enough where he couldn't do Mania, would that have forced the HITC streak match to become a triple threat in order to save the show?
Kamikaze Ken Anderson, former ACW heavyweight and TV champ, and female phenom O.D.B. will have matches taped for WWE Velocity at this coming Tuesday's SmackDown! tapings at the Resch Center here in Green Bay.
