Community returned - to surprisingly strong ratings! Community did a 2.2 and was #1 in its half hour time slot with adults 18-24 and males 18-24 over American Idol. (tvline.com) Community even boosted 30 Rock's ratings.

I loved the episode for Annie's noises, Shirley and Pierce's presentation to the Dean, Jeff and Britta almost getting married, and Troy and Abed being normal.

I was kind of "meh" on the episode until they got to the rehearsal, and then everything just clicked. Jeff and Britta got what I think is their best moment together, and they've actually had quite a few good moments together.

In the scene with Annie and Jeff outside, I noticed that the anus logo they designed for the flag last year was etched on the glass of the door behind them. I don't remember noticing that the logo had become official before.

I loved Dean's "That's ME!"

I guess Subway shacked up with Greendale now that Chuck is off the air?

The only part I didn't like was the tag at the end. I was waiting for a punchline that never came.

Liked this episode, but it was a bit slow for me. But, the whole proposal with the Boyz II Men singing was great.

Ratings up 38%, so maybe NBC will learn and keep it on the schedule.

I was surprised they led off with a Shirley episode. It wasn't one of their top outing, but it was good to see them all doing their thing again.

From a ratings perspective, usually Community is head-to-head against Big Bang Theory first-run, which was bumped last night for basketball. I could imagine a goodly number of BBT geek-nerds being less than enthralled with basketball & giving Community a try. (I always have to juggle TiVos to get both.)

Comedy Central just picked up reruns, which is hopefully more money in NBC's coffers. A Good sign.

This was my first episode, and I laughed more than I have through the two episodes of 30 Rock I've seen which did nothing for me. 'Course I could still be bitter about it outlasting Studio 60.

The preacher's "I'll allow it" got me.

I think my biggest laughs were the Dean's "that's me!" and the two "minutes later" title cards during Shirley and Britta's conversation. I agree that it's interesting that a Shirley-centric episode was the first one off the hiatus since she's by far the least-developed character, but Yvette Nicole Brown is great and I'm all for giving her more to do. The Shirley/Jeff foosball episode from earlier this season was fantastic.

This is literally the only "Studio 60 forever, 30 Rock never!" opinion I've ever heard.

You know how comics will say that when they try out jokes on each other, they don't laugh? They'll say "oh, yeah, that's funny," appreciating the structure and payoff but not being tickled by it? That's what 30 Rock does for me. I see the wit, I appreciate the pace. But it doesn't tickle.

I STILL laugh over Sarah Paulson's imitations and the the "Jesus Christ" skit from Studio 60. It got me.

30 Rock is becoming a live action Family Guy, where the good jokes are in the cut-away parts, and the average stuff is throughout the rest of the show.

I cracked up when Shirley did her usual "that's nice" and her husband said he loves it when she talks hot. Jeff's face was priceless.

Britta being great at weddings and fixing drinks and such was funny too.
It's good to see them back.

Oh, and the tag at the end...to me that felt like a typical Chevy Chase sketch. So it got a big laugh too.

Troy and Abed as normal people was scarier then them being weird.

I like it when Dean is more clueless and over his head then when he's playing it megaqueer.

I feel like that scene was lifted from one of the "Vacation" movies ... but I could be totally wrong about that.
