It's been four months since the last episode of Young Justice aired. Now it's on Saturday mornings as part of the DC Nation block on Cartoon Network along with Green Lantern: The Animated Series (The W) and rotating 60 second DC Heroes interstitials each week.

Klarion The Witch Boy assembles a magic circle of evil with Wotan, Blackbriar Thorn, Felix Faust, and The Wizard (silly name, "The Wizard", when everyone else, who are also in a sense wizards, has particular names. What makes The Wizard just "The Wizard"?). Their nefarious plot: create two dimensions where the adults (18 and over is how these bad guy magicians define "adults") disappear in one and all the children disappear in the other.

Plus while that's going on, in the Adults Only (but not particularly sexy) dimension, the Riddler and Sportsmaster steal... something... from STAR Labs Gotham City right under Commissioner Gordon's nose during a riot.

The story of Zatanna finally getting to join the team but at a cost of her father Zatara bargaining to trade himself for his daughter to become Dr. Fate was powerful stuff. I love that Dr. Fate is a fearsome entity; he may be a Lord of Order fighting for the right side against Chaos, but he is not a nice person, or a person at all.

The other highlight was Billy Batson getting a lot of face time, at first afraid to become Captain Marvel for fear for disappearing but then realizing he's the conduit between both dimensions as both child and adult. And now everyone in Young Justice knows Billy Batson and Captain Marvel are one and the same. But he still doesn't get to join the team since he's at the higher Justice League level of membership (Captain Marvel 05, a pretty high rank. Presume Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are 1, 2, and 3. Who's 4? Green Lantern? (Which one?) Flash? J'Onn J'Onzz?

It's great to have Young Justice back on television. And the Plastic Man interstitial that ran during its commercial break was pretty funny.

A clever premise, I thought. And of course opens a new story thread with Billy Batson. Now both teams know the dynamic he has. His interactions with Young Justice will be a lot more interesting, as they may have an issue accepting his authority when they now know he's the same age as them (younger?). Also prediction; Batman shows him the most patience and kindness, due to being great with kids.

Nice little touch with the child recognizing the S on Superboy.

I agree with John regarding Doctor Fate, very powerful moments. This also gets the Deus Ex style Helm of Fate off the table, which they sort of had to do seeing how this is the THIRD time they went to it. But this time - CONSEQUENCES.

Great show, and now it's back and I am HAPPY.

I didn't realize they'd moved this, and found it by dumb luck flipping around the channels. Good episode that moves a couple of important points forward. I really like that Captain Marvel's getting the spotlight a lot lately. I think you might have misheard, though, John - or I did. I heard Captain Marvel identify himself as number 15 - which is still pretty high. I like the character design on Riddler, but I have no idea what it was that Riddler and Sportsmaster stole. It's the end of some kind of tentacle, but beyond that, I can't place it in the slightest.

I love how this open this is going to be to interpretation. I actually thought it was a piece of Doomsday, but I could clearly be wrong on that one.

This was a pleasant surprise to find on my DVR yesterday and it remains one of the best DC shows that I've ever seen. I remain amazed at how well they're able to tow the line between having the young heroes be front and center, while also knowing the right moments to implement the Justice League.

I always found it weird that they were keeping Zatarra around, but now it all makes sense. I didn't see him getting killed off (sort of) in that manner, but it totally works.

What's still throwing me for a loop is their use of Sportsmaster as the show's answer to Deathstroke. I'm still waiting to see if this leads to a major resurgence for the character in the comics. It'd certainly beat anything in Slade's crappy solo title. (ZING!)

I loved it. I thought they were going with the JLU episode of kids vs. kids like they did with Morden and Morgana, but they added a nice twist with Marvel. I like how they are using continuity through out the series to lead up to the fight with the circle of light. So, was that the first time we saw the circle of light without the light? Zatara sacrificing himself for Zatanna was amazing work. I also agree, its interesting to see Fate as a true neutral character who really doesn't seem to care too much about people considering what he did with the original caretaker during this episode. Its great to have this show back and I can't wait to see what they pull out of for the finale.

My money is on Starro, and they're going to try and regenerate it and build up a Starro army.

That's a really great guess. Mind control certainly seems like it fits with the Light's overall MO, and might actually be the reason why all of the villains, who usually don't play so well with others, are working together in the first place.
