Just wanted to say that the Fantasy Baseball draft is three weeks and a day away, and we are only sitting at 8 teams this year which is an all time low by a long shot.
If you haven't played in the league before, sign up and if you have played in the league before why haven't you signed up yet?
It's a Roto League, as per usual but I forgot to mention that before. Those are usually easier for the guy that can only check in once or twice a week.
We had 16 teams last year, I won it with a Kershaw/Verlander combo. So, come and knock me off the mountain top, I usually suck.

Just tried to join to check the settings, and I get: "There was a problem
There is not room in this league if all teams from last year return. If you were invited to take over an existing team, please click the link in the email you received to join the league. To create a brand new team, get the commissioner to increase the maximum number of teams, or remove teams that will not be returning. (Error #638)"
If you need to remove one of last year's teams from the league to make room for another, you can delete mine (Twenty Seven Pitches). I would have joined again this year, but the other league I'm in has scheduled its draft for almost exactly the same time, and I don't do auto-drafting.
We are two weeks away and are at 10 teams which is enough for a good league but low for us. SO, this weekly pitch is to get some of you fence sitters and procrastinators involved.

I've played once before in the The W league, but I'm not a fan of the baseball players having a set game limit. I would play if I could just play my best players all season without ever worrying about a "games played" limit.

It's set at 162 which means if Albert Puljos plays all 162 games your best player plays in all of the allowable games. If Albert misses some games, then it is up to you on what you do with the extra games. This is the standard for all roto leagues I've ever played in.
If you are saying you want to plug whoever your backup is on Albert's off days, well the game becomes less about building a roster and more about who has time to add and drop guys on an everyday basis.
This league is usually so big that you backup is probably somebody like Gaby Sanchez anyways, and setting the games played at a position at 162 allows those who want to play and stay active the ability to do so while checking in as little as once or twice a week and keeping an active lineup all the same.
That all being said. We are about one week away until draft day. We are up to 12 teams which is a good solid number, but there are still eight open slots for those of you that want to jump in.
This happened a few years ago and I just vaguely remember drafting a pretty decent team and being in 2nd or 3rd place throughout most of the season. Then I started losing position players and pitchers to the playing time amount. It was a big league so there wasn't anyone good to replace them with. I went from being a top team throughout the season to dive bombing to next to last place during the last month of the season. It was just very frustrating watching that happen.
I never realized there was a set amount of games for each position until I noticed that some of my players stopped scoring points.
It's no big deal....I just never played in a baseball league before that had a playing limit set.

It looks like there are 12 teams.
Last day for signup if you want in. I'm the one that set up the live draft, and it turns out I might just end up auto drafting anyways. If I don't make it good luck, have fun, and enjoy the fight for second place.
I was hopeful that someone else would jump in the league, but after I signed up, I now make team #13. So if you guys want me to bow out, I will. Just say the word.
