The opening segment with Angle talking about the reasons he doesn't like Hardy started out weak because his reasons for not liking Hardy were really flimsy until he got to the point about his son idolizing Hardy instead of him, and mentioning how his kid dresses like Hardy and how he finds it embarrassing. The brawl between the two of them would have been more effective if TNA didn't have a brawl every other weak. The match between the two of them should be really good at Victory Road.

The backstage segment with Aries and Roode was effective with Roode venting his frustrations with Sting, and Aries aligning him with Roode because he feels Sting hasn't given him report for dominating the X division, and not putting him in main events. Aries was really good here. Aries has been one of the best all around performers in TNA and really any wrestling promotion. I'm looking forward to Roode and Aries being aligned and how they play off each other. I'm hoping this alignment elevates Aries.

Styles Vs Daniels was a really good eight minute match with an interesting finish with Kazarian getting Daniels dqed and then pinning Styles in the gauntlet match. The Mic work before the match was okay as Daniels was his usual solid self, but Styles stumbled all over the place. Not sure why they had Kaz agree to let the secret out if he and Daniels lost maybe to lull Styles into a false sense of security was the story they were telling. Kaz going after a softened up Styles and hitting him with his finisher to win the match was a good heel move, and also screwed Daniels. They clearly are telling the story that Daniels is losing his grip on Kazarian. I would guess Styles will get a tag team partner sooner than later.

The ODB- Madison Rayne knockouts match was divas level bad. There was not much going on and once again Eric Young was totally distracting running around on the apron with that old fool Hebner chasing him the whole thing is a joke. I have no interest in the Rayne-Gail match . as both women are heels and the match holds no interest to me. Gail should be turning face and feuding with Angelina and Sarita, but she's coming off as more heelish than Madison , and I have no interest in seeing Madison being a face.

The Aries-Roode-Ray backstage segment was effective and I liked how Bully did not act like he didn't know who Aries is , as TNA has had vets bury X Division stars. Aries was very good as the voice of reason and convinced Bully that Sting and not Storm was his problem.

The backstage beat down on Velvet by Sarita and Angelina went on for way too long IMO. The Garrett- Flair backstage segment was short and sweet, but it does suck that Garrett is still around.

The Aries-Bully-Roode-Sting in ring segment was really good the whole idea that they were done was silly, but the promos were excellent. Aries really stood out talking about how he gets no respect, and how it was time for Sting to took down, and how all he(Aries) does is win championships and leaves people pissed off. Aries had a great night and came off as a big star. Sting was solid in setting up the main event of Aries, Roode, and Ray against Magnus, Joe and Storm.

The Jesse Sorensen video package was tremendous and really pulled at your heart strings and if or when he returns he will come back as a big star. Zema's promo before his match with Moore was a good heel promo the problem is he is facing another heel in Aries at the PPV, so who are the fan supposed to cheer for? The Ion-Moore match was solid enough, but only got 3-4 minutes. I still wish a strong face like Shelley was getting the title shot instead. Ion can not compete with Aries in the ring or on the Mic, Shelley can.

Sarita and Angelina Vs Velvet Sky and Mickie was a really good match. Sarita looked great in the ring as usual. It is really to bad TNA is not pushing her. Mickie looked more motivated than usual. The match was especially good because Velvet was in the ring for like a minute. I did like that she did not do her usual routine and instead rushed the ring to start the match to sell she was pissed off about the beat down. I want more knockouts matches like this one. I just wish the announcers weren't horn dogs during the entire match.

The six man tag team main event was really, really good. Joe and Magnus hit some nice tag team moves, and it was nice to see Aries in the main event and Joe back in the main event. I did not love seeing Joe playing the face in peril, I rather have seen Magnus do that. I also liked Roode running from a pissed off Storm until the end of the match. I did not love to see Roode eat another loss in a tag match, and Storm and Roode should not be pinning each other, or doing much fighting until Lockdown. Ray beating everyone down after the match seems to be setting up another match between Ray and Storm and for the number contendership. The problem is they already had a number one contender match on Impact. This was a good match thought, and I would like to see more of these guys in the main event.

All in all , this was a really good show with good wrestling, and good promos, and very little as the Bischoffs turn. The show has improved by leaps and bounds, and if you stopped watching I would suggest giving Impact another try because the show has been very good lately.

Angle doesn't like Hardy because he gives crazy drug addicts a bad name by flaking out instead of working themselves to death.

Good show. Really wish they'd get behind Bubba as the top heel, he is AMAZING right now.

I liked a lot of last night, I felt a like queasy during the Ion promo after the video package. Then again, Owen 3:16: I just broke your neck. So, I shouldn't complain too much. I also have to applaud TNA for actually doing a work stoppage right. Don't like it? Ok, well no paycheck and title for you, good luck on your future endeavors. They did a nice job with everyone last night, including starting the tweener Kaz turn.

The Roode, Bully & Aries stuff was great and I'm glad to see Aries used more prominently. The main event was good too. It would have been nice if the Joe/Magnus turn was handled better but whatever.

I disliked the Angle/Hardy segment. It was too goofy and Angle returning this soon to wrestle Hardy sounds like a bad idea that'll likely end up with Angle hurting himself more. I'm sure both guys will work hard to have a good PPV match and may even succeed, but I don't think it's worth it, especially within the storyline laid out in that promo.

The "gauntlet match" had some good action.

Whenever a show has 2 KO matches, I think it's too bad the division is so weak. Neither match was good. Them doing nothing with Sarita is unfortunate. I'd much rather see her do a patented TNA random face turn and feud with Gail than see a Gail/Madison heel/heel feud that'll likely have much weaker matches. Plus Gail/Madison brings the total of current storylines where (ex)friends are (in)fighting to at least 3 or 4, which is too many.

The Garett crap sharing a segment with a KO brawl was pretty convenient.

I found Ion's promo cringeworthy for many reasons. Them exploiting Sorensen's injury and Ion who I find lacking in many areas, especially promos, has a low rent look, and screams Indy geek getting a push due to a botch that nearly killed a guy doesn't sit well with me. Plus, Ion so far seems like a guy who can't come off as threatening (I find him cartoony) which runs counter to this storyline. Guys like Ion and last year Mexican America after the Sabin, Williams & Neal injuries getting pushes in the wake of those accidents despite being far from the most talented or over acts in their division doesn't send a good message, especially in Ion's case as he likely wouldn't have gotten said push otherwise and the injury is the basis of the push. This is the type of thing that's more likely to put heat on the company than on the heel wrestler.

Crap, Abyss is returning soon. Good luck Bully Ray in trying to carry Abyss to something decent next month. It's been a long time since someone has achieved that feat.

I've got bad vibes on the whole Abyss is missing story line. I could see them doing the same kind of story line as WCW did with Cactus Jack when he went missing nearly twenty years ago That was really hokey and the last four years everything Abyss has done has been hokey. I really hope they bring back James Mitchell and have him manage Abyss again, and have Abyss go back to the old monster that doesn't talk.

Heh.

Good show. Really wish they'd get behind Bubba as the top heel, he is AMAZING right now.
Agreed with Mark Henry being jobbed out, Ray is now the top heel in wrestling. I think the only reason they are not going all the way with his push is that according to Devon his and Bully's contracts are up over the Summer. I have a bad feeling Ray will be saddled with Abyss again soon.

Last nights show has to be one of the best TNA shows in the Spike TV era. The storylines made sense almost no Garrett Bischoff, and awesome main event and two other really solid matches. I may be one of the few that likes Ion here, he has a good look and a swank as fuck missile dropkick. Kazarian for the first time in his career is showing personality. I really like this former fortune storyline. Aries killed it last night and should get a world title reign in the next year or so. When did Joe and Magnus turn face? I really hope Bully Ray stays in TNA and gets a title reign, he deserves it. Wonder what would happen if Henry went to TNA and Ray went to the WWE? Who would get the bigger push? Who would you rather have? Sucks that Abyss is coming back.

I would go with Ray over Henry because he's better on the mic and has been far more durable in the last fifteen years than Henry has been. I doubt Henry goes to TNA anyway. I think he'll probably retire. I hope you're right about Aries , but I tend to doubt it with Bischoff having all this power. Aries probably does have Lagana in his corner so that helps a little bit. I will say TNA has booked Aries ten times better than they did in '06.

There I go saying all the angles were logical and you point out the illogical one. I hated the Angle opening too they just decided lets have Angle and Hardy feud for no discernible reason. They just felt hey Hardy's facing Roode for the title, but we want Roode to win in a shady way, but who will cost Hardy the match? Hey lets bring Angle back and have him attack Hardy for no reason! Why? Well who the hell knows lets just tell Kurt to come up with goofy reason. Hoping Angle and Hardy will have a better match than their finisher-fest at No surrender two years ago. I prefer Sarita stays heel and Gail goes face.

Cautiously optimistic about Impact. The shows have slowly improved since BFG.

-The Angle stuff was lame and has been done before (even down to the point of the heel's kids being fans of the other wrestler).

-Happened to be playing around on Twitter and noticed Zima Ion was trending. Guess it ain't such a big deal huh WWE?

-Was hoping that Joe and Magnus would have turned on Storm and formed an all champion stable with Aries and Roode. Then they could have countered Sting's threats of firing with, "Oh yeah? Then your champs will all show up in Stamford!"

Even though there's still stuff and guys I don't care for, Impact is winning me over.
Most of the wrestling was really good. everything A Double does is excellent. the Knockouts got 2 matches & 2 commercials plus backstage segments. The ODB/Madison match wasn't that great but Sarita/Angelina vs Mickie/Velvet was. I'd like to see Gail and Madison both stay heel, competing to see who can be more evil.
I'd say that with only about 15% bad (Angle/Hardy & Garrett Bischoff) this was the most solid Impact ever.

I loved the Angle opening. It was comedy, but I've always loved comedy-Angle. It reminded me of his 2000 era Olympic Hero stuff.

Whoever is searching for Abyss should really ask Joe if he has any idea where those ninjas kept him captive at. Maybe Abyss was kidnapped by the same group. Maybe the search team can look for Steiner and Anderson too.

The Roode/Aries/Ray stuff was perfect.

Its interesting to see Kazarian's turn begin to frighten Daniels.

Everything is awesome right now.

I could have told you that after seeing Heath Slater trending after being squashed in forty seconds.Btw Vince Russo is doing a you shoot in June, and Shannon Moore has decided to take time off from wrestling.
