With all the things CM Punk has accomplished in WWE in the months since Money in the Bank last year (some even called the past summer "Summer of Punk 2") I thought it might interest some of you that ROH just today released a DVD about the original "Summer of Punk" in 2005:
Disc 1 - CM Punk vs. Austin Aries (ROH World Title Match)...Death Before Dishonor III 6/18/05 - CM Punk vs. Jay Lethal (ROH World Title Match)...Sign of Dishonor 7/8/05 - CM Punk vs. Roderick Strong (ROH World Title Match)...Escape From New York 7/9/05 - CM Punk vs. James Gibson (ROH World Title Match)...Fate of an Angel II 7/16/05
Disc 2 - CM Punk vs. Christopher Daniels (ROH World Title Match)...The Homecoming 7/23/05 - CM Punk vs. Samoa Joe vs. James Gibson vs. Christopher Daniels (ROH World Title Elimination Match)...Redemption 8/12/05 - CM Punk vs. Colt Cabana (2 Out Of 3 Falls Match)...Punk: The Final Chapter 8/15/05
* This classic releases also includes moments that solidified "The Summer of Punk" in the annals of ROH history including Punk's notorious contract signing, his confrontation with Mick Foley, and more!!!

Nice! I might actually get this. I'd love to see WWE come up with a similar set to cover Punk's Summer of 2011 run. The promos (including the promo that started the whole train rolling), the excellent matches against Cena at MITB and SummerSlam, and recapturing the title against Del Rio.

Punk was on Colt Cabana's podcast a few weeks ago and said that his 3-disc DVD set has been greenlit by WWE. The best part? He has full creative control over the content.
His feud with Jeff Hardy that lead to the turn and the SES was so so good. Once he got away from Big Show, he had the great "nothing personal" destruction of Evan Bourne right after he was drafted to RAW.

Don't see how they'll get THREE discs out of his WWE stuff. I mean, you've got the Rey and Hardy feuds, but his first couple years were mired in fake ECW crap I couldn't care less about seeing.
I assumed the whole show that FBI agent Evans (Shane) would come back and be the ultimate bad guy for Bill Goldberg and LL Cool J to catch or kill. I like Goldberg when he appears here. This is his second or third time
