Seriously he destroyed Joe's career and really screwed over Daniels once he returned in late '06 after Daniels had a great run in '05-06. Yeah he gave Styles the title but he booked him horribly. Pritchard at least has pushed guys like Roode and Storm to th main event. Not defending Hogan or Bischoff but there's no way to defend Russo imo.

Oh I'm not defending Russo really. I think the guy is clueless. I'm just saying that nobody should celebrate as long as Bischoff and Hogan are still there as they are bigger problems IMO.

And the reason a lot of those guys you mentioned were pushed was because of Dixie, not Russo. It has been mentioned by numerous people that Dixie is very insistant on pushing the "names", especially Sting.

The thing is since he left the WWE he's pushed older guys. One of the first things he did in WCW was book Scott Hall to win the US, and TV title and be one half of the tag champs. He also killed Goldberg, dead. He also booked himself in a feud with Ric Flair. In TNA he's killed Joe's career and was on the verge of making Tomko before killing his career with a stupid swerve. He did the same to The Pope and even Anderson. The booking has much improved since he's lost power, and again TNA has been much more watchable when he's not part of the booking committee. No disagreement o Dixie, obviously.

It's official:

TNA President Dixie Carter just announced the following via her Facebook:
"TNA and Vince Russo have mutually parted ways as of this week. The separation is amicable and professional. We are glad for the opportunity to have worked together and wish each other nothing but good luck and success in the future."

Well, the shoot interviews going forward should be interesting.

I hope Roode can stay at the top for a little longer. I hope he gets a chance to establish himself as a decent champ without a new writer moving the belt to establish his turf.

From what most people are saying, Bruce Prichard is still overseeing big picture stuff and Russo was just writing TV, so this change shouldn't completely shake up the top tier booking.

To be fair, Pope getting injured in the middle of his big title-match push, and again right afterwards derailed a ton of his momentum.

Not as much as the terribly booked feuds with Abyss, Joe and Devon which really diid a ton of damage to him.

Just read about what led to Lagana's WWE exit. Holy shit, bringing this guy into an even worse run company may be a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Call me a pessimist when it comes to TNA, but it seems like all this means is that we'll get more Bischoff and Hogan running things.

Allegedly tried to solicit sexual favours from Kevin Thorn in return for a push, which Thorn told Undertaker about and who then went ballistic and demanded he be fired.

I like the simple and effect booking in Ring Ka King and if Lagana is behind the booking, I do think he can help out and continue to improve the product. Hogan and Bischoff are a big impediment though.

Interesting, and first time I've heard that. Obviously it never came up in his "formerly creative" podcast series, but he did detail his departure quite specifically there, from what I recall. I don't remember much about it other than it didn't at all (again, obviously) resemble that rumor.

I'm delighted that vampire Thorn sought the aide of dead druid biker Taker. This could have been a new Brood stable.

About 4 years too late, but I guess better late than never. Still need to cut ties with Hogan and Bischoff though. All of the former WWE memebers of creative have praised the move to bring in Lagana and lavished praise on him. One former creative member says the WWE should bring in Russo as the annoymous Raw gm. Lmao.

Lagana's side is that one of the many people who hated him based on his time in WWE spread that story about him and it ended up in Ring of Hell and its "print any apocryphal sleaze about anyone" policy.

Gotta ask what don't you like about Lagana? Lagana's booking or just because of the rumors about him? I personally really liked his blog, and think he did a good job in roh and ring ka king. He did book when JBL became champ, but that was Vince's call not his, I don't think.

I have no problem at all with his work in wrestling, I just thought he was annoying on his podcast. I guess it was some of his less savvy writer castoff pals that bothered me more than him. "Steph is such an out of touch bitch, wouldn't let me do my angle where MVP and Kennedy harness the power of the sun and become lords of time." Also their Twitter navel-gazing was just as bad as WWE's.
