I have officially gone Linsane. This has been one of the most entertaining week's of basketball that I can remember. He of course is following one of the most boring month and a half of basketball I can remember.

His pick and rolls with Chandler get me excited to see the return of Amare. His ability to drive to the hoop, keep everyone involved, and spread the floor make me unexcited to see the return of Melo.

He is going to come down to earth and his minutes are going to have to be managed better, but if you haven't enjoyed watching him play this last week than you must be insane or a Laker fan.

I've been interested in his story for awhile now, but just like everyone else my interest has exploded over the past week. He certainly has his flaws, but it is undeniable that the Knicks' offense looks absolutely miserable without him on the court.

I have been so enamored with him, in fact, that I started one of those meme sites in his honor (jeremywin.com). Hopefully he'll give me enough reasons to keep the site updated.

Being half-Taiwanese, I'm fully on the Lin bandwagon. Considering how much the Bullets/Wiz have sucked for most of my life, I don't mind rooting for him and the Knicks.

If the Knicks were smart, they'd hurry up and trade Lin now (when they can get some real value for him) because once Carmelo and Amare return, they're gonna hog the ball and freeze the poor kid out of the offense ...

This is actually what's been on my mind... what kind of egos are we dealing with in Melo and Stoudemire? I hope they can see the value of letting Lin play a big role in a winning NY team.

I'm a huge lifelong Heat fan, but I've watched Lin's highlights from the past 5 games and he's definitely won me over... Trying to see if me and my friends can take our talents to south beach to watch Heat @ Knicks next Thurs.

Of course there is a dirty little secret

Chris Duhon, Nate Robinson and Raymond Felton all put up career numbers in the D'Antoni system. If we have learned anything it's that while SGs can't play PG in the D'antoni system PGs should be able to thrive in it.

I'm not taking anything away from Lin, he's been great. I'm Linsane. However, he might need D'Antoni as much as D'Antoni needs him.

Well, Amare played tonight and got his but it remains to be seen how the team functions with Melo.

So far, Melo says that he's happy to play with Lin but who knows.

As an Asian-American Linsanity so far has been an awesome ride. That he's doing it for my favorite team makes it that much better. It's a perfect storm and the irony that the team's biggest star might be the one to ruin it is painful.

Well, I experienced the LIN-sanity live and in person in Toronto last night.

Unbelievable. Lin scores the last 6 points, with a 3-point play to tie it and the final 3 to win it in the last second. Incredible.

The Raptors experienced only their second sellout crowd of the season and I would say that many of them were there to see Lin only. There was a whole section across from us with Taiwanese flags. Also, many many Knicks jerseys.

When he hit the 3-point play to tie the game the crowd was cheering more than they had all game. I have never experienced the visiting team getting cheered more than the Knicks did last night.

What great fun, consider me now completely LINsane!

As a New York Rangers fan, I am loving Linsanity. It keeps the NYC media pressure & focus on the Knicks so my Rangers can keep winning without being in the media crosshairs.

Linside the Air Canada Centre lin Toronto, the lindomitable Jeremy Lin linitiated the offense. Raptors defender Jose Calderon had a linkling — lindeed, a lincredibly strong linference — that a linstantaneous drive was linevitable. "He's not so linventive," Calderon linsisted, linternalizing his lincessant doubt. Linstead, Lin lincapacitated the linattentive Calderon with a lintrepid game-winning 3-pointer. "Linsubordinate lincorrigible lingrate!" a lincensed Amar'e Stoudemire linsisted, lindulging in linvective and linnuendo. "How linteresting!" linterjected the linoffensive Canadians. "Linspired!" Coach Mike D'Antoni lintimated to his lintermediaries. "A LINCANDESCENT, LINVIGORATING SHOT TO LINVOKE GHOSTS, LINCITE RIOTS, AND LINFLAME THE MASSES!" shouted the announcer, and everyone was like, whoa, dude, enough.

another 9 turnovers for Lin, as he continues to break records... turnover records that is... Another 9 of them tonight and he telegraphs his passes, as NBA teams are starting to figure out.

He's another Tim Tebow in the making, once NBA defenses figure him out, it's all over for him.

Eh, I dunno. We'll have to see how (or if) he's able to adapt.

Right now, he's a phenom. He's not a superstar. A week and a half of sensational play doesn't make you a superstar even if you're wearing a Knicks jersey. The weeks and months ahead will tell whether he's capable of being the Knicks' full-time starting point guard, whether a career's worth of All-Star Game invitations are in his future, or whether he'll be forgotten about because of all the turnovers.

Eight in the first half is just plain ugly, but he cut it down to one in the second half so he adjusted (Nash had 7 himself last night). I think he now has 45 turnovers in 7 games which is a record. That's going to have to improve, and I think it will once he stops going for the tough flashy pass and takes the easy pass in front of him.

Fatigue is going to be a major issue going forward as well. JR Smith is an upgrade over Fields who I like, but really killed them last night with his free throw shooting, and bad decisions in crunch time. Bibby has to be upgraded and soon. Shumpert is a fine SG, but a lousy PG. Lin going from zero to forty minutes a night is going to make him useless come March.

Lin is smart, he'll learn from this. It is what he does after games like this that will be a real test of what kind of PG he is.

The underrated story is the beast that is Jared Jefferies. He's gone from guy that cannot get out of his own way to lockdown defender/momentum swinger. He had a five minute stretch that jacked the crowd up more than anything Lin did last night.

I cannot conceive how someone at ESPN would be stupid enough to write and publish this headline....

I'd attribute it to a momentary lapse in judgement. Regardless, it's obvious that this guy is probably getting canned in the next day or so, if he hasn't been already.

UPDATE: And sure enough, Happy Trails to the headline writer!

Not to defend the headline writer, who deserves to be canned, but it's interesting that years ago when Lin had that blog where he mimicked the headband style of NBA players the name was "chinkballer88." It's one of those things where "Well, I can do it, but you can't." And I don't know if I can disagree with that.

5/$81M. That's a bit much, IMO, but he's a Top 3 center and everyone's been overpaying big men lately anyway.
