I am so happy that Molly is finally the women's champ. There have been so many horrible champions in the past. Who do you think was the worst. I say it was Debra, she never sucessfully defended it and by the way she won it. She lost a bra and panties match to Sable, but was given the belt. I never understood the point of that.

I'd say it's a three-way tie between Sable, Debra and Harvey Whippleman. Sadly, I'd think Harvey is the most talented of the three...and ironically, the one still with the company.

Moolah was a legitimate champion for decades, and it's not fair to judge her based on the last run. I go with Whippleman.

Pretty ironic how the era of the worst womens champs almost immediately preceeded the best era (the past 6 months or so). There sure has been some dramatic change in a relatively short span of time, I would say. Although, I never watched around the time that Jaqueline first came to the WWE and won the title, which gave it its initial boost in respectability from what I can tell. For its time that was probably a pretty good era as well, although there were obviously fewer competitors than there are today.

I'm going off the board and say Chyna. I mean in 99 we did have a bunch of sucky champions from Sable to Debra to Kat to Harvey. The title was a joke so no real harm
But Chyna won the title act like she didn't even want it, like it was beneath her (and actually said so) squashed talented girls Ivory and Molly. Sold a little for Lita and still won, when asked that people were surprised that Lita didn't win, Chyna answered "well atleast I sold for her like a million bucks" Wow Chyna what a swell professional you are, you actually sold a bit, lets all praise her. Worse Woman champion ever, and worse 'woman' Chyna

I think you have to give it to Debra, since I don't think she has ever shown that she knew wrestling manuever number 1. At least Sable, Kat, etc. knew a move or two.
I do find the argument for Chyna compelling though, I think enough to rank her second worse.
Stephanie was one of the best champs because although she isn't really a wrestler she had a ton of heat and gave people a reason to care about the belt - when Lita finally beat her, it was actually quite a big mark out moment.
I have to go with Hervina, Sable, and Debra. Kat sucked but she had that whole lesbian love slave thing going with Chyna sort of like Jeff Hardy next week with UT. Steph was bad but when Lita beat her people marked out. Was Mae Young ever champ? I think I remember a double switch with Mae and Moolah but that could just be a horrible nightmare.
I just have 13 words for you. How much wood would a woodchuch chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Gotta go with this chick they brought in about 85 or so. For a woman wrestler back then, she looked good, but she had no skills. Yet they put her in Wrestlemania! Can't think of her name for the life of me.
Anything to get the belt off Moolah at that time.
What was her name (looks...)Oh, yeah - Wendi Richter
she wasn'tmuch to look at and had one main move: a hair-assisted snap-mare.Yikes.

Originally posted by DMCHey back then Wendi Richter was entertaining. Especially teamed up with Cindy Lauper...that was some of the most memorable stuff from the 80s WWF.

I didn't think so. I liked Cindy being there, but we were talking about worst. Wendi had no moves. Cindi Lauper sholda been champ (in fact, if it were today, she would. She and David whzizname could be the tag champs and the Captain could come out of retirement to manage them. 19 tag champs!

Was it Rockin' Robin? That name seems to ring a bell. I think she was related to Jake Roberts.

Yep, I mark out. It was just annoying how she carried the belt around like a trophy EVERY WEEK.
