I absolutely loved the end of the Rumble match. I'm wondering if they'd do something really crazy and give Jericho the title at EC and have Sheamus face him at Mania.

Keeps the streak in tact and leaves Cena for 2013 to give him the 1 loss or get 20 wins.
Man, I hope not. Although I'll give you credit for the creative idea.

If they put Orton in the Money in the Bank match they could always go down the road of "He's done everything in the WWE except THIS" (and the US title but shhh). Plus the idea of Orton with the case is intriguing for some reason.

Come to think of it, the briefcase has never been given to a certified main eventer. It might make for a change of dynamic.
It's always guys that are brushing with the main event. The biggest name, at the time of winning it, was probably Kane. Edge and Punk are now established main eventers but weren't there yet when they won it. The rest (RVD, Del Rio, Miz, Bryan, Swagger and technically Kennedy) used it to become champs but cannot be truely considered main eventers (in WWE)
Hate this hate this hate this hate this. Money in the Bank is the primary way that WWE gets new blood into the main event.
Check out this list of people to get their first championship since the beginning of the MITB era:
MITB: Edge CM Punk Jack Swagger The Miz Alberto Del Rio Daniel Bryan
Non-MITB: Great Khali Jeff Hardy Sheamus Dolph Ziggler Christian Mark Henry
The same amount! And take a closer look at the non-MITB list: -Khali and Christian got it due to injuries. -Dolph was a joke reign. -Hardy would have been in the MITB list if he hadn't been suspended over Wrestlemania.
The Big Bossman raised the briefcase.
Go Pack Go! Owner of one (1) share. Let's Go Riders! Owner of one (1) share.
I agree. The MITB is better served going to new blood. I think it should be used to either keep Ziggler in the main event or give Cody or Barrett a title shot.
I'm surprised that nobody (I think) has mentioned The Miz vs. R-Truth. They're feud certainly doesn't look over and I doubt they'll resolve it an Elimination Chamber with four other people involved. I've assumed for some time now that they were waiting until Wrestlemania for the blowoff.

One can make a case that they're building to Long Island Express vs Guerrero Family. Presuming Ziggler isn't in line to win MITB, this would be near-optimal usage of all four of those guys.
Also: Miz for the Most Must See Host in WrestleMania history! The circle is then complete.

I don't want to be stealing anyone's lines here, but if you look at the fact that his slump has lasted roughly 12 months now with no end in sight, there is strong evidence that 'they have small plans for Miz'.
His slump lasted from 2 months before he headlined the biggest show of the year and won? Odd definition. And whatever the plans are for Miz, I think comparisons to John Morrison are hilariously misguided at this point. he main evented Survivor Series and TLC and went forty five minutes in the Rumble. He's a long way from "small plans" territory.
Yea he won a match that was designed to get all the heat onto The Rock and not him. He gained nothing from the win. Miz was more over before he won the World Title than he is now.
His feud with R-Truth was blown off a week before a PPV where they could have used it to bring in even a little bit more money, but they thought an un-announced Funkasaurus match would be better.
He was in the main event of one of the worst booked big matches of the year as an after-thought. The entire Survivor Series build up was John Cena beating the crap out of him and Truth for weeks, and the match was all about whether Cena and Rock would turn on each other before they were done beating the crap out of Miz and Truth some more.
He lasted the longest in the Rumble. Once the main event guys showed up, he was dumped out like a job guy with no attention to his elimination. The company didn't seem to think that his 45 minutes in it was worth even mentioning the next night, and if he hadn't have brought it up most of the audience wouldn't have known.
Plus, you've got the bonus comparison of his girlfriend leaving the company and not keeping quiet on twitter about how glad she was to be free of them.
I think WWE's perception of Miz is at the level of Jericho from about 2002-2005. Useful heel but not protected, can fit in main events when needed, can lose a lot and get his heat back by doing a promo.

They just have nothing for the Miz right now on Raw. I'd take him off TV until WM, then I say put Miz on smackdown, make him the #2 face behind Orton.
