"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." --- Bart Giamatti, on baseball
Funny story: I saw RVD just tonight. He was grabbing food at Scooby's Hot Dogs on Hollywood Blvd. He 'claimed' to be still under contract with TNA and that he was 'happy' there. Says they like paying guys to sit at home and smoke out. He was high, if you were wondering.
Now, a couple years ago,I saw him out here just before another Royal Rumble and he had said he'd probably be in it, then he showed up in TNA. So he might just like to work the marks for all I know.

So, apropos of nothing, I've been working my way through 1995 ECW Hardcore TV on the Network, and just by sheer coincidence, the episode I watched just before tonight's NXT was the one with the Eddie Guerrero/Dean Malenko 2/3 falls match.
