I hope not. Johnny Ace has finally settled in nicely in his role of Raw GM, and just to kill it by having HHH fire him wouldn't make sense. HHH keeps Ace around, thus building heel heat for himself when he faces Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Ace is drawing serious heel heat now, and good heel heat.

BTW- Miz vs Truth has zero chemistry to it, hopefully we won't see those two against each other again.

I'm sure the video package crews are already working their superimpose/creepy music magic.

The next step would be to have a shot of Kane, with the Undertaker, watching Cena's angry face, and Kane saying, "See? I told you I could do it" to which the Undertaker pays him the dollar they had bet, a la Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche in Trading Places.

Speaking of angry face, haven't we seen Cena do the over-acting angry part several times before?

Just came across as phony to me.

What came across as phony to me was the fact that he turned away from the questioner who MADE him angry to look directly into the camera. Why not direct that glare at Josh Matthews until he slowly backed away? Would a three-quarter view have been less foreboding?

Just for the record (and because I also greatly enjoy them) Laurinaitis WAS tweeting when he was at ringside.

1st: I've got a front row seat to hot tag team action. Exciting. Creative. Laurinaitis. #raw #wwe #bigjohnny

2nd: Just to be clear, I am INCREDIBLE at life. #raw #wwe

Once again a mostly enjoyable Raw. The only blot was the Kane/Ryder/Cena/Eve stuff which went on for way too long. It showed in the ratings - once again the rating for Raw dropped off in the 2nd hour (Hour one did 4.67 million views, Hour two 4.57) but overall the rating went up from last week's 3.01 to 3.18. Has to be a somewhat encouraging sign.

Even with the Champ inevitably going over Ziggler at the Rumble, I'm not sure it was a good idea to have him take that much on Punk over the past few weeks. Punk kind of just looked delusional denying Ziggler had anything to do with beating him all these weeks before losing to him yet again. How many more people watch RAW than a PPV, even if it is the Rumble? Probably six or eight times as many.

Wow did they kill off Ryder. That was the biggest "Fuck You for Liking this Guy" since every time they came to Canada between 1997 and 2010. He just looked like a complete bitch, sore back or not. Totally brutally beat down in front of his girl. He may as well have peed himself and wept and offered Kane Eve for the night. That was just fucking stupid. They could have got to the same place in a much healthier way. That did nothing for anyone.

From a writer point of view, they tried to make it interesting, I guess.

It showed how much of a monster Kane is, it gives Ryder a compelling come-back story when he returns, and it gives Cena more of a reason to get in touch with the dark side.

Only, the execution over the past weeks has been horrible. Goofy pyro, drops from stages and acting has made it look like...well amateur hour.

It's the curse of the Kane character. If you make it real, it's just another wrestling feud. If you try to add the theatrics it comes across as lame and convulted.

Regarding Punk & Ziggler, I have no problem with the way this feud is being told. Punk obviously has heat with Johnny L, so he puts his focus on that part of the story. In the mean time, his matches with Ziggler do give the guy a rub. He looks like a bonafide threat in there. I hope it stays that way (we know how suddenly WWE can change their view of a guy)
Hell, the tag match even made Swagger look like a threat.

I liked how Brodus pulled off that suplex, and Regal (bless his black heart) pointed out that the guy is a suplex machine.
Having have slightly longer matches (= more than 10 seconds) and pull off some moves will help him get over in the long run, and less chance of the dancing just getting stale.
Having said that, the fact that my fiancee asked me "when will Brodus be there? I want to see Brodus dance" is a sign; the gimmick is already a hit.

I agree with Hogan, they have tried to make Dolph big where really the only people who like him are the smarks and the only heat he gets is due to Vickie. Yes, he is good on the mic and has a look, but thats about it. His matches with Punk are sloppy. They both don't have a real connection in the ring. My hope is that Punk just kills Dolph at the Rumble after KOing JL doing a replay of the Vince/Austin/Dude Love second match. I like Dolph, but I don't like him enough to make Punk look weak. The show should have ended with Punk giving the GTS to Data's other brother, Big Johnny.

I had forgotten until that moment that when he debuted in NXT, he was described as a "suplex machine" (until Cole made a joke more or less saying someone else he knows might take offense at that...)

I'm glad they reminded the audience that the match is not John vs. Punk. It's Punk vs. Ziggler.

I hope Ziggler is reluctant to accept John's help. That's the touch that can help him get over, and a slight character adjustment is needed if he doesn't win the belt.

Are they still doing Elimination Chamber? If so, I don't think it is completely impossible that Jericho could cost Punk the title to kick off their feud.

So, for the first time ever every WWE Superstar is allowed to be in the Rumble? Why would they state someting like that? Only possible scenario I could see is this: Laurinatis screws Punk, who then, on the same night, will wins the Rumble match to go on to Wrestlemania to challenge Ziggler for the gold. Don't know.

Sounds about right. or if not that exact scenario, definitely someone who "shouldnt" be able to get in and win will.

Then again, if the RR only has 30 slots in it, and Punk doesnt get one because he already has a singles match booked on the show, wouldnt he then be the 31st entrant in the rumble?

They'd kick a Jey Uso out. (Poor Jey Uso.)

Another question: why would Laurinatis allow CM Punk to be in the Rumble if he's already caused him to lose the title? (Maybe he doesn't but Teddy helps a brother out?)

Well now this is interesting;

Click Here (lordsofpain.net) (Partial Source; Partial source: F4Wonline.com).

As seen on Monday's RAW Supershow, WWE apparently wrote Zack Ryder out of the storylines for the time being. There had been talk for weeks of keeping Ryder off TV for some time.

While this isn't confirmed, there are now rumblings that Ryder is away filming a movie or some kind of program, possibly for the WWE Network.

After we noted a few weeks ago that WWE reached an agreement with "The Luke & Duane Show" to feature the song "Just Take Care, Spike Your Hair (The Broski of the Week Song)" on WWE programming. Speculation now is that Ryder may be away filming episodes of his "Z! True Long Island Story" YouTube show for the Network. Again, none of this is confirmed - just talk.

Wait, I figured out what all WWE superstars means. Rock is going to be a surprise entrant for the largepop and do a staredown and highspot with Cena before they eliminate each other.

So besides those two things and being one of the two best wrestlers in the company. That's not a bad list of weaknesses.

I like Dolph, but I don't like him enough to make Punk look weak.

I don't think his four roll-up/distraction losses have made Punk look all that weak, but the final result is that Punk will have overcome a guy near his level instead of the guy who just dropped the U.S. title to Ryder. Or, the opposite of the Survivor Series main event.

Isn't there a chance that "every WWE superstar is eligible" is just a smokescreen so people overlook the fact that only seven people have even been mentioned as official for the Rumble? (Jericho, Foley, Sheamus, Wade Barrett, R-Truth, Miz, Jinder Mahal.)

Angry, Shakey-Face John Cena coming in to destroy everybody in the ring (he wouldn't even necessarily eliminate anyone) and then stand in the center of the ring Shaking His Face Angrily at the Hard Camera side until the next entrant turned out to be The Rock, who would eliminate Cena, would be a pretty great Rumble spot. Cena could then pull a Hogan/Sid to eliminate Rock right after, I guess.

Then, the next day, I could complain about how Cena could have possibly been surprised that The Rock was the guy right after him in the entry order in this fake scenario that I, myself, am booking right now, which would be the best of all worlds.
