Yeah, I had no clue what to expect going into this. I mean...how do you turn NAPOLEON DYNAMITE into an animated series?
It's...such a mixed bag for me. All of the voices are back, the characters are essentially the same, but everything else is just so...cartoony. The tone of this show is completely different from the movie, even though the characters are the same. It wasn't terrible and is certainly worlds better than shows like Allen Gregory, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it "good" just yet.
The jury's still out for me on Napoleon Dynamite.
Napoleon: Spare me, Man with No Face! Kip: (reveals his face) Now who's the toughie? Napoleon: Kip, you liar! You have a face!
EDIT: That thread title should say ThunderCONE, which obviously shows where my head is at.
It is by far the best change of pace cartoon Fox has had. I was entertaineed by both episodes, and don't see why it won't get better once it finds it's groove. Will people who didn't see the movie take to it?
I thought both episodes were decent, with maybe the 2nd being slightly better than the first. Each had some good laughs, but I agree it still needs to find it's groove, like most new shows, animated or otherwise.

Seems kind of pointless to me. If they have all the talent back, why not just make a live action series. I could see that going over big...10 years ago.

My friends and I left it on Fox after the games and caught both episodes. None of us (all in our 30s) saw the movie and none of us liked the show. Pass.
