I'm more pumped for WWE '12 than I have been for any wrestling game in quite some time. I'm especially looking forward to recreating WCW in Universe Mode: I'll have Nitro replace RAW, and replace two of the regular WWE PPVs with Clash of the Champions and Starrcade.
I'll have five champions on each brand (four ranked and one unranked), and the initial champions will be:
WCW
World Heavyweight Champion: Booker T U.S. Heavyweight Champion: Dolph Ziggler Divas Champion: Natalya World Tag Team Champions: The Miz & R-Truth Cruiserweight Champion: Chavo Guerrero
WWE
WWE Champion: John Cena (Classic) Intercontinental Champion: Cody Rhodes Women's Champion: Kelly Kelly WWE Tag Team Champions: William Regal & Tyson Kidd Light Heavyweight Champion: Sin Cara
My primary player-characters will be WCW's Zack Ryder and WWE's Drew McIntyre, and I'll also be playing as The Miz and Tyson Kidd.

I've had it reserved for a while now, but I'm seemingly much less excited than ekedolphin.
I did see some of the upcoming DLC guys (listed on Wikipedia and I didn't check for a better source, so who knows if they're legit - I hadn't seen them confirmed here before) and it will be nice to get
I have the same issue as El Nastio. There are just too many games out that I want/have, so WWE 12 will have to go on the back burner until December at the earliest. But I am interested in the game, so it might be a rental for me.

I want to get it. I do! But I won't lie; May next year. Unless Guild Wars II comes out, then I'll probably never play WWE 12 :(
I'll ask for it for Christmas, delaying my decades-long ambition to play as pre-made Arn Anderson and Vader in a WWE game. (I skipped the game that allowed Vader as a download.)

I've pretty much finished Batman (just nailed the Riddler, all I have left is the advance AR training and like 8-9 riddler trophies) and Skylanders, so I need something to do between Overlord: Raising Hell and Infamous 2.
For the first time since Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, I bought a strategy guide. Partially because the game doesn't come with a manual, partially because the first match I played was CM Punk v. Ted DiBiase and I lost. Repeatedly. Couldn't reverse a damn thing, got pinned because I thought the "don't get pinned" minigame was button mashing and not "hold down X", it was embarassing. I'm not touching either story mode until I can win consistently.

It helps if you think of it as the "No Mercy" system. It took me about two hours before I finally figured out what the hell I was doing, but once I did, I realized the engine is deceptively simple. Do a starting grapple state by pressing A (on the 360); turn it into one of four stronger grapple states with a direction + A; hit your move with Direction + A.
The Location-Based strike system, I hardly ever use.
But in the brawls, you don't use the grapple system; it's more like street-fighting. It took me about seven tries to accomplish the first objective in RTWM.
I just finished chapter 21 in the Hero Story; it took me two long nights of gaming to reach that point. Just unlocked

the Nitro arena,
which was one of my main goals anyway, since I needed to do that before starting the Universe mode the way I wanted it.
Anyway... this is the best wrestling game, quite possibly, since No Mercy. No kidding. Possibly even better.

I have been playing it for the last two days. I am not that impressed. The controls are a bit sloppy and countering can be a pain. When the wrestlers you fight, they go on a roll. I have been just playing story mode, so take that for what is worth. I will say I miss you choosing the characters to take in story mode. The only thing, I will say about story mode is that if you didn't hate Cena or HHH before, you will after this.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.

I agree with lotjx. I went in with high expectations and came away unimpressed for the same reasons he stated. Heath Slater should not be able to counter that well, and that often, then hit me with three finishers. I know you can adjust the frequency and success of AI counters, but there's no fun in that. Thumbs in the middle, leaning down.

I havne't played both, and I'm not going to. I have Madden 2004 on the PC and 2k5 for the Xbox. I don't see any reason to get the new Madden - 2k5 is fine for the 1-2 hours of football I play a week.
